We had a good dining experience at the restaurant. The food came out pretty fast even though they were packed. All the food items were awesome. The server was friendly and provided good suggestions. The chocolate cake with ice cream was delicious. I definitely recommend the restaurant as we enjoyed our dinner.

The food was absolutely amazing. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the service as much as the food. It was a group of 7 of us, and they were able to accommodate us quickly. We started Oysters, and they were great and fresh. Then I ordered the crab cake sandwich and cinnamon rolls. It was good and the price was awesome too. I would definitely be back here.

The food is really good here. I got the devils eggs for starters, and the seafood linguini for the entry. For the drinks, I ordered the carpenter’s punch which is on a sweet side.
Overall experience is good. Will definitely recommend this place..

Ate at the restaurant for a Friday date night with the hubby. The service was stellar. Our food was on point, no complaints whatsoever. The oysters a sampler tray was delicious. Our entress included the shrimp and grit (delicious) and the gumbo. The gumbo was ok but not a favorite. Our drinks were wonderful. Our server Mohammed made us a special concoction which was a special treat. Will definitely be going back.

The Oysters were amazing and they have a large variety to chose from. They were fresh and properly shucked. The fried Oysters were also fresh and juicy. We were not really asked where we would like to sit and were placed outside. Thankfully it was nice to watch the sunset even if a tad bit humid out. The bloody marry was ok however it felt like the tomato mix was a little watered down and the vodka was personally not to my taste. For the price I was hoping for something with a little more attention to detail. My friends food looked great but was rather pricey for what they got. But I like oysters a lot so I was happy.

I was looking for amazing seafood and this place did NOT disappoint!! The oysters were incredible and that lobster roll really is the best in Maryland! Also traded the fries for mashed potatoes and those were some of the best I’ve ever eaten. Bring an empty stomach and dive in!

Excellent lobster roll and French fries. Some good gluten free options as well but the GF rolls for the lobster roll were horrible and hard as a rock. A bit disappointing for the high cost of the lobster roll.

My first experience with Maryland style crab cake, loved it. It's true what they say about crab cake, "Never had crab cakes till you had crabcakes from Maryland." Oysters were probably my only gripe, of the dozen ordered, 2 look like they were leftovers from something else. Service was a tad slow but friendly. Presentation was good. In my experience with oysters it's always a roll of the dice, I didn't get sick so my experience here was great.

The Walrus Oyster & Ale House is located in a great spot along the National Harbor. My husband and I enjoyed having lunch there for his birthday. The fish and chips had a wonderful crunch and paired well with the sauce. My husband said his crab crakes perfectly seasoned and cooked with little filling. The flavor of the hummus was great; for me it was a little too chunky, but my husband loved it. My drink was well proportioned and flavorful.

Took my mom here for Mother’s Day and the front of house staff were very accommodating of a party of 7! We were seated almost immediately compared to other restaurants in the area that had long wait times. Our waiter, Mohamed, provided excellence service. He gave great menu recommendations and was very friendly and entertaining. Literally one of the best servers I’ve encountered. The food was also tasty. The wings, deviled eggs with fried oysters, and crab cakes were very good. This was my first time having a fried oyster and I can say I’m now a fan! I would absolutely come back to eat here.

Fabulous venue for dates, parties, or with family and friends to enjoy food and drinks. Great location and easy to find, this restaurant has a wonderful menu for the person who wants something different. Their happy hour is amazing and worth the visit. I ordered the oysters, pouched shrimp, deviled eggs, mussels, and wings. The beer selection and cocktails are also great. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

THIS place was right at the National Harbor...sat outside for the beautiful view and fresh air. Oysters are devine. The sweet ones are best. A half dozen turned into a whole. The crab dip was amazing. Comes with bread but tastes great with crackers. We had the oyster shooters...a MUST try if you love oysters...no fear. The drinks were top notch. Frozen drinks are bomb. AND the service was top notch. Our server was on top of it a d attentive to our every need. Definitely going back.

Terrific hidden gem we stopped at otw back to North Carolina. Started off with some oyster shooters, and ordered the crab dip (scraped it clean). Ordered another dozen of local oysters recommend by Miguel, our awesome waiter whom was extremely knowledgeable. Ended with the bluefin tuna, and salmon stuffed capellini. Great experience, and would definitely recommend if traveling through.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at this restaurant mainly because the food & waiter, Mohammed were excellent! Honestly I’m surprised at how great his service was. To think we almost walked right out because the hostess that seated us had a very bad attitude because we asked if we could be seated in a booth. So glad we stayed because the food was exceptional—gotta try the crab cakes! I’m very picky with crab cakes & this one was scored 💯. I had fries as my sides and my niece had mac and cheese, also yummy! The cornbread, wings & salad were delicious too! Mohammed was funny, patient, entertaining & he definitely made the experience worth it. At a time when excellent service seems rare, it was a breath of fresh air. I’ll definitely be back!

Excellent! Service was superb and delightful (especially considering it was dinner and a busy convention crowd !) Coconut shrimp was best I’ve had anywhere! Oysters Rockefeller also memorable… to the extent I went back the next day again! (It was that good!) and the Maryland crab-cakes were delicious… loved the sauce!!! Again, service was really excellent!! Do try this place!!

Visiting and staying nearby. Came in for Happy Hour and had the best afternoon! Awesome specials. Had 6 Oysters and then the Deviled Eggs. Deviled Eggs were life changing. They could bottle that sauce and sell it. Great way to spend an afternoon!

We had a party of over 10 people and didn't have to wait a long time to be seated or have a reservation. Unfortunately the kitchen was closing about 30 minutes into our dinner which our amazing server Jessica brought to our attention. Fortunately, we were able to get all our food and drink orders in on time and have a perfect meal. Jessica was phenomenal and extremely attentive. The food was great, the service was even better!!
