If your looking for an exceptional dining experience off the beaten path you need to check this place out. Make sure you call ahead a make reservations as your chance of walking in and getting a table last minute are slim.

This meal was the highlight of our trip! It was such a nice change of pace to what you find along the main strips in Gaitlinburg. The food was delicious & the owners were so kind, warm, and welcoming. It had a great selection of wines. It’s a must stop!

Wonderful food. Outstanding hosts. This is fine dining at its best. The setting, the drinks, the dishes were first class. Highly recommend for foodies. Not your usual Gatlinburg fare. Perfect spot for a romantic dinner or night out with close friends.

Off the beaten path, but worth every bit, especially for a romantic dinner. Food is small plate style, but no matter what you get, it's guaranteed to amaze. From the service, to the atmosphere you won't be disappointed. Wife and I celebrated our anniversary here and will absolutely be back. Good drinks, delicious food and beautiful decor.

We visited 3 weeks ago and I haven't stopped thinking about it yet! It was our first time in Gatlinburg and we visited the strip the first night which was crowded and overwhelming. I was looking for a peaceful spot with good food and somehow stumbled upon Red Oak Bistro. This place completely exceeded every expectation and was the best meal I've had in a long time. From the charming location (nestled in the hills with art galleries all around, the cabin is beautiful and cozy. We were able to enjoy dinner outside. Everything we tried was amazing and authentic to it's origins. Even the wine was amazing! For 2 people, we did 3 plates, the affogato and wine. It was plenty of food and we even had some leftover. I couldn't give this restaurant a higher rating!! 💕 The hosts were very friendly and welcoming!

We enjoyed the ratatouille, kebapche with cole slaw and potato salad, and the smoked oyster flatbread, an amazing Oregon pinot noir, and affogato for dessert. All of the ingredients were fresh and delicious.

This place is amazing!! Its off the beaten path but worth it. Great service, great atmosphere and everything we ordered was delicious. We are not wine drinkers but they had a huge selection. We will come back here. Tapas style.

Holy moly we're these bites great!! Really fresh ingredients, really well prepared. Two of us shared one plate at a time and went through 4 total. We left properly content. Not "full", but definitely didn't need more.

The zucchini dip in the bistro platter was especially noteworthy. And the Norwegian smoked salmon was incredible.

Enjoyed a wonderful dining experience here. The food was fabulous, truly exceeding expectations with its flavors and presentation. What made the experience particularly memorable was the exceptional service provided by the husband and wife team who run the place. They struck the perfect balance of being friendly and helpful, enhancing the overall atmosphere. Their passion for what they do shines through in every aspect of the dining experience. I'm already looking forward to my next visit and would highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a delightful culinary experience.

This place is the best! Yummy rotating/changing menu of tapas, appetizers, shareable plates & chef-made desserts. Amazing wine selection as well as a full bar.
Choose to sit inside or outside on the terrace... go with a group of friends or for a romantic dinner.
(I would expect to find this caliber of place in California wine country or a fancy neighborhood in Seattle or Chicago) Can't recommend enough! We may go back before vacation is over.

My husband and I love late night European style, tapas dinners. This place was a dream come for us. It's tucked into "the Glade" which made the atmosphere quiet and serene. We shared four plates and a phenomenal bottle of Spanish wine. Everything was perfect. My only thought of improvement was there could be nuts in the mesculun salad for a little crunch. The owner's make their own dolmas and Bulgarian sausage. We each had a cocktail to start and my husband's old fashioned was the best I have ever had! The owner's also make the simple syrup homemade with their own honey. Do not miss this place it was amazing!!!!

I cannot recommend this restaurant enough! They serve food here in the mezze fashion, small portions of highly delicious food; there is no other restaurant like this in all of Gatlinburg!

The restaurant has an immense wine list that will take you years to try all! Don't forget the beer, either, as they are all imports from Europe; sorry folks, no domestic beer here!

Really special dishes...creative, quality ingredients and perfectly seasoned. Atmosphere is A+. Only gave 4 stars for service as waiter (owner?) never brought check after we asked for one. I had to go to bar to find him so we could leave. I will make a point of coming back when in the area as the food and atmosphere are really top notch.

Went there with a group for a birthday celebration. A cozy dining experience away from the crowds. Tapas style menu with plenty of options for everyone. The food and service were excellent and the owners came out to visit with us. Just a wonderful dining experience!!

Beautiful setting on a quiet road away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist traps. The ambiance is cozy and relaxing while slightly up scale. The food was exceptional. We started with the baked brie puff pastry and also had the sweet potatoe shepherds pie and then finished with Baklava. Everything was delicious.

Just don't come in a rush as this is a more relaxed and hang out vibe rather than a dine and dash.

Such a unique experience for this area. Spent a couple of hours at Red Oak Bistro with husband and sister in law. The atmosphere was perfect for relaxing and good conversation. We had a bottle of Prosecco...brie en croute...charcuterie board...then chocolate mouse and chocolate torte for dessert. We all gave it two thumbs up for friendly service, excellent food and intimate atmosphere!

Small tasty tapas with varying influences from around the world. The wine selection is amazing and the owner suggested a great tasting wine for me.

Plate prices range from $14 to $22 with most falling in the middle. Deserts were small and scrumptious and cost us around $6 a piece.

Overall it was a great time with great food. I wouldn't suggest people to come that are in a hurry as you are meant to relax and enjoy the food, atmosphere, and superb selection of wine.

Went there on a tip from the olive oil shop down below. This is a hidden gem! We were greeted by the owners, who made us a delicious caprese with VERY fresh ingredients. The mozzarella looked like they made it that morning!
We ordered a Cabernet Sauvignon wine, to compliment the caprese and it was probably the best wine I’ve ever had in the East Tennessee area. Did I mention the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting?
Please do yourself a favor and go here! Simple menu, warm welcomings, and good food. You can’t go wrong.

Update: we returned here on 7/5 and I’m sorry to say it took us two years to get back! Still the same great couple running the place, the food was amazing, and the atmosphere fantastic. He brought my husband a merlot and I asked for a white that was bright and fresh and he knew exactly what to bring. His wife (the chef) even came out to talk with us! All in all we had a fabulous time! We ordered a variety of items, all of which were exceptional! Do yourself a favor if you are in the Gatlinburg area you must stop in here!

Simply Amazing! The ever changing menu is so well thought out and made with such care and love. The measures they take for COVID is so reassuring, we completely enjoyed everything. Our only thing ... we forgot to take pictures of the wonderful food. We did get some of the drinks with Clyde! Four if walked out very satisfied and 3 bar drinks for 130! What a great deal!
