Sugarlands Distilling Company

As a fan of the series "Moonshiner's," this has been on my bucket list of area locations to visit. Having the holiday off today was the day to cross it off the list. I enjoyed the atmosphere that the place gave off and there was plenty of moonshine & sipping creams to choose from as well as Sugarlands Distillery branded merchandise. I did not take part in the sampling but there was plenty of it going on and everyone participating seemed to enjoy the flavor varieties being served.

And for those who would like to meet the stars of the show, Mark & Digger, I'm told they visit the first day of every month to take photos with the fans as well as autograph jar of shine & merchandise.

We had such an awesome time here. We weren't able to take the tour because it was closed for maintenance. We did the tasting, which was an amazing value. The shots are small, but they taste amazing. Our server had a great personality and made it such a fun experience. The drinks in the bar are absolutely delicious. The gift shop has a lot of merchandise to choose from.

You pay $5 for a tasting of 12 preselected flavors. Even with a crowd, the experience is fun! Sugarlands has the best organization system in Gatlinburg as they have everyone line up to check your ID, then assign you a bar to taste test. It takes out the uncertainty of waiting around for an open spot at the bar and ensures that the entire bar can experience the drinks at the same time.
Their shines are really good, but the creams are even tastier! Their seltzers are also amazing on a hot day.
Even better, your $5 tasting gets you $5 in the store for merchandise! Fun experience and good drinking.

We had so much fun doing the tasting here!! I forgot our servers name but he was hilarious and made our experience amazing! He’s the best we had all day in the whole Gatlinburg area. I like how organized they were as well. Tastings are $5 but you get a $5 coupon to spend on anything in the store so it’s essentially free. Their moonshine is also very delicious and they have unique flavors!! We can’t wait to come back!

This location has an excellent atmosphere! The staff is beyond helpful, and friendly. A special shoutout goes to Ryan, Justin, Britt, and Lissy. These special folks were full of knowledge, and make a mean cocktail. Treat yourselves to this unique experience, more than once, if you’re able.

This place is absolutely amazing ! Hands down ! We came all the way from Lubbock Texas to see this place . Great product , everything was delicious ! Shout out to Ryan and Justin for the awesome tasting experience ! After the tasting go back to the bar ! You won't regret it ! Britt and Lissy served some amazing cocktails back there ! Zach is also very knowledgeable about the whole process ! Highly recommend getting the full tour !

We had such an amazing experience at Sugarlands Distilling company! We got a $5 tasting which was absolutely great! We tried 12 kinds of moonshine + 1 bonus shot, and our bartender Steve was really fun. They offer $5 off the jar with the wristband from your tasting which is a pretty good deal. They have lots of flavors, but definitely try dark chocolate and Pina colada. I highly recommend this place!

An excellent distillery when compared to Ole Smokey up the road. Place was more spacious and well organized.

They have a cocktail bar at the end were you can just enjoy their distillery if tasting is not your thing. We ended up going for an Old Fashion made with their own bourbon called Roaming Man and a Moscow mule. Both cocktails were nicely made. You’ll even get to keep their glass when ordering the Old Fashion.
We ended up buying a bottle of their bourbon for $38 to enjoy at our hotel.

Great tasting of 12 different samples! It came with a coupon for $5 toward the store. I love this brand and highly recommend this experience in Gatlinburg! They even have a cocktail bar in the back. Would love to have a drink or two there next time!

Our bartender Abby made it such a memorable experience. She was very charismatic and made us laugh all the way through. She even accommodated me since I couldn’t partake in the dairy based shine! She really went above and beyond. Thankful for Abby!

Abby was our tasting host and she was so entertaining! I came in knowing nothing about moonshine or sugarland and I left a FAN of both!!! Amazing place! Wonderful people! Fantastic Moonshine!

This was the best moonshine tasting we visited while on holiday in Gatlinburg.

The moonshine was delicious, the hosts were hilarious, and I got to meet the famous Payton (who we saw on YouTube and made us want to visit!)

It was so good, we paid a second visit for another tasting and to buy more moonshine to bring back with us to the UK.

When we run out, we'll just have to fly back and buy more!

Great setup inside and outstanding employees. The shows… tasting bartenders are amazing! Lots of energy and very fun & funny. Loved it!

My youngest son and I came in for a tasting. Great atmosphere, and the hosts were hilarious.

We did the $5 tasting as a bachelorette party activity. We are so glad we chose sugarlands. Payton did our tasting, she was so funny and we would consider her an expert. Would do the tasting again if we came back in the future!

Spur of the moment stop and are we so glad we did! $5 gets you a tasting of 12 different flavors and a bonus shot - our bartender Josh was really great and made the tasting a lot of fun.
Your wristband also gives you $5 off of merchandise, so it's a win/win.
Will go again if we're back in town.

My first time in Tennessee and going to sugarlands was a must for our visit. The experience was fun. Ben was our host and he is amazing. He will definitely make you laugh. The flavors of moonshine are good too. Some better than other. If you're visiting Tennessee I highly recommend you go to Sugarlands.

Britt & Lissy took great care of us at the cocktail lounge, great atmosphere! They gave a great family/friend feel! Trey took good care of us at the moonshine tasting, kept us laughing for the start. We will always recommend this place!!

Britt and Lissy took care of us from day one at sugarlands!!! They were amazing bartenders and gave a great family and friend feel!! We also had Trey as our moonshine leader for our tasting and to say he was the full experience you expect is an understatement. My guy Trey killed it kept us entertained and stumbling within the rules of course. Great place great people!!
