Ober Mountain

First off, I went during a week when there was rain. So I missed many of the nice features.
The skiing was just okay because there was not enough "snow" and it got too warm to make more. Even though they advertised 30" base, it was not.
The live view cam was VERY helpful.
The overall facility and personnel = fantastic!

A great place with lots to do. Be prepared to wait in line for your wristband/ticket.
We wanted to do the tubing but it was sold out for the day when we got there around 1230p.
The tram ride had beautiful views of the snow capped Great Smoky Mountains. 😍
They have ice skating, bumber cars, wildlife habitat, skiing, boarding, snow play area, shopping, rock climbing, and of course munchies and beer.

I hadn't been there since I was a teenager, more than 30 years ago. It was still fun and beautiful!

We had so much fun, there’s a lot of things to do. The wristband includes ice skating the chairlift tram and coaster. Unfortunately the slide was not open. Can park up the hill for $20 or in downtown for $15 I believe. You can take the tram up and down to see downtown and come back up later which was very convenient.

This was an amazing experience. It’s well maintained and clean. There are a variety of experiences to be had here. The Tramway is the main attraction apart from Live band, skating rink, Alpine coaster to name a few. There is also a food court indoors. The tramway offers great vistas for viewing fall foliage and for taking back some memorable snaps with friends and family!

Went skiing during Mardi Gras’s week of 2024. We had a good time. He had 2 days of lots of skiing. Not busy at all during that week.

Good place to get a beautiful view, hang out, and have fun with some of the attractions like the sky tram, chair lift, skiing/snowboarding, snow tubing, and ice skating.
good food and drinks too: candy & caramel apples, fudge, fries, coffee, hot chocolate

Plan on spending an entire day here! The wristband is a fantastic deal providing access to so many fun activities the entire family can enjoy! We spent 6 hours exploring the beautiful property, doing the alpine slide and coaster, rock climbing, ice skating, and doing ice bumper cars! The animal exhibit is small but well maintained and we got to see the river otters being fed - so cute! Don't miss the views at the top of the chair lift! They're even better than Anakeesta - completely unobstructed, majestic views! We chose to drive up since wait times for the tram can be lengthy. The entire property is clean and well kept. All in all, we really enjoyed our day and are so grateful that Ober participates in the IAAPA passport for wish kids!

awesome experience.. my friend love the chairlift but doesnt have a safety belt a kid almost fell.. plus the locker only accepts cash unbelievable should have placed a card reader! who tf brings cash nowadays lol.. had fun with snow tubing and skiing 🥰

We had a blast year our 3rd year in a row. The wrist band is $49 and is the best value bc it includes the mountain coaster, tram, ice skating and more. My son absolutely loves the mountain roller coaster. Tubing is a separate price and it is also fun, but not a really high mountain. My son‘s favorite thing to do here is skiing. He really enjoyed himself. The food here is actually pretty good as well and they have remodeled. We roasted s’mores on the fire pits, which was really cool and there’s a hotdog place called daddy dawg that had some really great hotdogs. They also have beer and, hard cider drinks. The hot chocolate was also really good. I would definitely recommend coming if you’re coming to Gatlinburg.

Breathtaking views and fun rides. Easy to spend a day here and make memories with the family. Entry was free, but rides are extra. We got the $50 pass that include a ride to downtown Gatlinburg, which costs $20. So, park at Ober and get the pass.

We agonized over what attraction to go to for the day. We decided to go to Ober Mountain. Best decision ever. Ice skating and bumper cars for my 14 yr old. Chair lift and down hill Alpine sled for my husband and daughter. Rock climbing, Tennessee flier, the zoo for all of us. Comfortable chairs and rockers all while watching Scooby Doo on a larger than life outdoor screen. . A live band and snack vendors. For $49 each we had a day of fun and excitement. We headed down for our meal, planning to return after. Since our arm bands were good all day. Gotta go, it's worth it!!

We love Ober! Been coming here since 2008 and it’s always a memorable stop on our trip. It was our first time getting the wristbands and it was definitely worth it!

So much to do and it's all alot of fun!! The Ober Mountain Cafe could use an overhaul on their chicken and burgers. They are absolutely disgusting! The chicken is so fake and the burger came out cold. Fries are great and pizza is okay if you don't get a dried out slice.

We had a great time. I’m 61 and my son is 9 and we both enjoyed the day. There are so many things to do and see. Views are beautiful from the top of the mountain!

Beautiful Coasters and Great Ski Lift View! Got to see 2 Bears along the left and the roller coasters are the best and you get to control them yourself so it even better!! Definitely Recommend going during a school holiday because it's less busy and you'll defiantly enjoy it!!

Built in the 70's,
Doesn't feel as fresh as some of the other options.
But a great view and lots of fun stuff to do.
UPDATE-
This attraction has been purchased by new owners, the people who started Ole Smoky Moonshine from what I hear, and great things are happening on the mountain. From my family's first visit we fell in love with this place and it only gets better each time we visit. Currently (October) they are doing their Fall Festival, everything is decorated super cute and their is so much to do. Every attraction is included in the wristband making this the best value on the strip. You can easily spend the whole day here having fun with your family.

Our family and friends had a great time!! If you take the tram, leave early bc it may take 2 hrs

For the past 6 years, we've been going back to Ober Mountain. Skiing is fun and has plenty of things to do for the ones who can't ⛷ or snowboard. Great fun.

Loved it, so much to do and a good all inclusive price! Scenery was amazing! Kids loved the ice skating and the ice bumper cars were super fun and different!
