Main Street Lookout

A beautiful lookout to see a sunset in Alameda. I live close by and I love stopping by here to caught a good sunset. The road is pretty rough. Be cautious of that if you have a low car.

Old night photo, you can tell by the quality, but I recently visited here, and it's definitely safe. There's not a lot that happens in Alameda as the island is closely patrolled. During the covid outbreak, it was a ghost town. They really move as a unit here. That's why it's harder to find housing here. I digress, come here for a nice view of the docks, the geound is still grabble and rocks.

I grew up here and my father, my uncle and my grandfather all were Longshoreman right along these terminals.

Its beautiful here and relaxing.

It can be a little run-down, but if you have a car that is not low it can be relaxing to crash there and to see how big those freight boats are. Also is a nice place to see a little bit of San Francisco in another angle.

Sort of scary to go too. Nice to go during the daytime but I wouldn't recommend going at night. The parking lot needs some TLC. There is a lot of pot holes. If your car is lowered definitely be careful.
