Mill Mountain Coffee & Tea

The food is always great and the service is quick with a nice staff. Bulk coffee is nice to have especially with the option of bagging it yourself or snag pre-bagged for ease. The code is always amazing which is why Mill Mountain Cafe is The ONLY place for coffee in Roanoke.

Ample seating indoors and out with a ramp (not steep at all with a very gradual grade) which makes getting to the upper level simple with stroller, wheelchair, unsteady person, etc. The really nice touch is how the seating is arranged so that there are semi-private areas which helps keep the noise level down.

Great iced lattes. Plenty of seating, but there aren’t enough power outlets for anyone who wants to work for a while. They’re available, you just have to look for them.

Very cool, low key local chain. Staff is great and efficient. My Americano was perfect as was Sinatra's volume. Well done folks.

Great drinks however the food menu has been discontinued. The only food items available are a few pastries.

The banana pudding cooler was delicious! And the place smells heavenly every time you walk in. Their coffe is grade a quality, just wish they were closer to where I live.

Very prompt and courteous service always willing to go the extra mile to make sure your stay is pleasurable they have beautiful paintings and drawings for sale as well as delicious coffee the portions are fair and The Taste is delicious highly recommend a visit if you're in the area it's right next door to La Tavola Italian Kitchen wine and cheese.

A wonderful experience. The bad reviews seem all to be one-offs because we experienced nothing of the sort. It’s a great atmosphere and an amazing little coffee shop. It is, as any coffee shop, a little pricey, but actually not even as bad as Starbucks. You get bigger sizes for the same price as a tall (small). Would absolutely recommend! (The coffee and iced teas are amazing :) )

By far the best coffee shop EVER. Cheap, peaceful atmosphere, extremely good drinks. by far WAY better then Starbucks. Will definitely visit this place again. Went there with my husband as a date and it was amazing! Staff is polite and so is the district manager who actually knew my husband. All in all, it's an outstanding coffee place for a great price! Got a large banana and coconut iced tea for 2 bucks! Extremely delish! I absolutely love it!😍💖.

Friendly staff and good coffee. Love seeing old downtown buildings revitalized into something new. Tried one of their seasonal drinks and it was great.

Good coffee. Great space. Good service. Convenient location and good hours. We once got a hot chocolate there that was luke warm and had a fly in it but the barista instantly refunded us and gave us a new cup. I was impressed with their customer service! The place is cute, has a straightforward coffee shop menu and a classic coffee shop look. Many of the shops we went into were very crowded. This one was seemed to have plenty of space.

I go here every visit to this amazing small city, one of my favorite places in the U.S. The coffee quality is excellent with a lot of flavor notes often missing from chain stores. They also have a strong sandwich menu if a bit weak on vegetarian options, and some desserts like cakes. There is an outdoor sitting area in back, just wish there were some trees. If you visit Roanoke, stop here for coffee!

A staple and cultural icon of Downtown Roanoke, Mill Mountain Coffee & Tea has provided excellent service and atmosphere in every single visit. The cashiers are always prompt to make a recommendation and the food comes out fast and of excellent quality. A must try is the Chicken Salad. Will absolutely recommend!

This place is amazing. It looks small from the outside but once you enter, you see the difference in space. The decor is wonderful. The very high ceilings remind me of ballrooms during the 1940's. They featuring art on the wall from local artists. The seating is spacious. You can sit at a table or couch or recliner. 2 hr parking on main Street in front of the store and parking around back where there is also an entrance.

Great coffee and tea and the decor is very nice. The staff were very friendly and pointed us towards some fun sights in town!

It's always wonderful being able to sit here and relax with a nice brew of coffee. The staff has always been wonderful. One time a customer brought their muskrat (odd, I know) and staff promptly escorted the individual out. That was around 2014 I believe.
