Mast General Store Roanoke

Amazing place to stroll through and shop. So many different brand names to choose from in clothing and accessories. Outdoor enthusiasts paradise really and popcorn too! I got a great hat. Prices are a little steep but not ridiculously so. It was fun.

This place is great. Good selection of fashion and outdoors. Small but good selection of camping, hiking, fishing, etc gear. Great place to find a good flashlight, pocket knife. LLbean gear, etc. Kitchen gadgets and trinket toys and candy galore.

I have always loved Mast and should have left a review sooner. Leaving one now because of what I witnessed yesterday. A customer became irrationally rude and hateful due to clerk Vickie allowing a younger shopper who had accidentally selected one wrong item to quickly get the correct one. The middle-aged woman behind me in line attempted to belittle the much younger girl and was unusually nasty to Vickie. The lady’s partner even seemed embarrassed while she attempted to get me to agree with her. Instead I told the clerk, Vickie, I felt she did the right thing. Total delay maybe 3 minutes and for a kindhearted reason. This is a people oriented family (and pet) friendly store. Some people need to stick to online shopping. Coming at lunch hour the week of a major holiday and expecting a zero minute wait is irrational. Vickie thank you for what you did for the girl.

Visited here for the first time. It's set up like an old fashioned mercantile store. They have a small but excellent selection of clothes. Plenty of souvenir type items and a lot of candy, toys, books, candles, shoes, outdoor equipment and jewelry. I found plenty of things that I loved! There's really something here for everyone! I'm so glad we decided to stop in and take a look. Don't miss it.

What a great store to just peruse. So many different areas to shop in the store. We spent a good amount of time in here just looking at the "not for sale" antique items and we also spent a good amount of $$$ on wanted items.

Really fun place to shop, they have just about everything you can think of, vintage toys, candy, apparel, and a huge loft with all the outdoor adventure gear you could want.

this store has a variety of goods such as a clothing store and a candy section all in the back. the clothing section is expansive going upstairs and downstairs as well. very neat place although a little pricey i will come back.

This is a great store with plenty of selections. The candy and food departments are fantastic. It's such an asset to have a Mast General in Roanoke. Associates are friendly and very helpful. Now they are carrying L.L. Bean merchandise, just keeps getting better! Every time I'm in here I see something new I would like.

This store has a little bit of everything in it. The place was neat, well stocked, and the staff was friendly. The men's restroom was clean, but the toilet paper was a little on the rough side.

Love this place! Very expensive but you get quality that is worth the price. Fantastic selection of candy!

Went in for the first time not knowing what to expect. Super impressed with what I saw. Huge selection, a lot of stuff you won't find anywhere else, a variety store with clothes, items for your dogs and pets like toys and food and treats, also has utensils, kitchenware, unique and unusual foods and a whole shelf of Jam / Jelly / Preserves / Butters of all kinds of flavors and varieties. There is also a whole candy section like you would find at a candy store, but everything is bagged in small units which makes the process so much easier, you can just grab a few bags of what you want from the candy and pay by the half pound. Lots of variety options, and the store feels very nice and well kept up and looks great. Would highly recommend giving a visit.

Mast General Store is a little gem. They have really cool merchandise and the employees are friendly, genuine and engaging. Honestly, the way we were treated by the staff, made me want to spend my money here.
When people are treated well, they excel at their jobs.

Such a great store! Unique gifts, clothes, toys and candy. But what makes this store so special is the staff. Every time I've been in, they greet you and say thank you for coming in when you leave. Always willing to help you find what you're looking for and leave you be if you're just browsing. @Sonya - a very big thank you for helping me find a smaller size dress in another store for an event this coming weekend.

Very nice place with a helpful sales staff. It is a little pricey but they do have quality merchandise. Be sure to check out the candy section, there is a lot to choose from.

This is such a cool store. My favorite part is the huge selection of special candies in big barrels. I also really love the assortment of cute kitchen tools and decorations. The clothes and shoes are really nice too, but can be pretty pricey. The staff are always excellent. Extremely friendly and helpful. It's always a treat to visit this store.

Great store, especially if you're shopping for some small little gifts for people. I'm from out of town and didn't want to get something chinsy at a gift shop, so this was a fun stop. Super nice staff.
