The Candy Store Roanoke

The selection odd candy and weird drinks, toys and games was really good, and the staff was super helpful. If you're in a manual wheelchair, be mindful of the slightly tilted floor. A couple of the aisles are a little narrow, but otherwise, it's pretty convenient to navigate.

Best sour jelly beans of all time. If Jake Jarmel was in an accident and in the hospital I would stop off for these jelly beans 😄😄 Great store great owners

Cute candy store in the middle of Downtown Roanoke. Friendly staff, lots of neat gifts and I love their socks.

Lots of old-style candies you can pick and choose from as well as modern oddities and novelties (for example, a metal Snoopy lunchbox and Pokémon Pez dispensers). I can picture child-me entranced and getting lost in this little place.

Very nice place filled with lots of different kind of candy. Great place to take the kids to keep them up for awhile lol but they will love it.

They have a wide variety of candies, chocolates, and shocking drinks. The kids will love it as well as anyone with a sweet tooth. Great location and staff were very friendly and helpful.

Absolutely delightful shop with friendly staff and amazing selection. My kids come here and get a treat everytime we visit downtown... it's become a tradition.

I come here often. I love it, but my kids really love it. Great selection of candy from all over. Pretty much anything you are looking for. Also, they always play great music and the hip kids who work there are helpful and fun. I shop here around every holiday and also whenever I bring my family to the awesome museums (even a pinball museum!) which are located in the same building. A++

The variety of candy and stuff in this corner store is awesome. Yes its pricy but things tend to be that way near tourist attractions. The staff was very nice and the chocolates behind the glass shelf were excellent. I do recommend stopping in an looking around at the selection even if you dont plan on buying. You might see something you haven't had in awhile and change your mind.

Seriously the happiest place on Earth! Tons of different choices including strange and foreign candy. Bulk high quality gummies and chocolates as well as locally made truffles. Delicious bottled sodas and some really strange flavors too. The Candy Store is the perfect place to grab a treat downtown or pick up a quick gift. The staff have always been friendly and helpful.

I love this place. It's a dream-like mix of candy and crazy novelties. They have super delightful staff, (big nods to Monet!) I very highly recommend that you steal some kids, (please don't) and take them to The Candy Store!

Always a great visit, nice staff and amazingly good candy. If your looking for nostalgia they have it. Lots of candy like Razzles and Kitts, and Candy cigarettes. They also have great things for gag gifts and bacon lovers. My family goes here as a weekend outing when we are close it also is right at the museum.

It is always packed and the staff efficiently gets you in & out. It is always super clean, which I feel could be difficult in that particular shop. It is definitely a downtown favorite.

Absolutely love this place! A must when visiting the Square and always receive the best service. Such cool old school and new school candy and items. You will not leave there empty handed.

This candy store is fun! They have novelty items like bug lollipops and oversized candy. They have a little freezer behind the counter where they keep handmade frozen popsicles (I recommend cookies and cream). You'll find yourself smiling as you walk around, inside this shop.

Awesome store! YES and ditto to everyone else's reviews. I LOVE going there, "candies I have never seen before and some not since childhood" is so very true! When was the last time you saw "Mary Janes" or "Bit O Honey"? A new favorite for me is the buttered popcorn jelly beans - oh my Gosh so good. The owner and all the folks he hires are great and he plays the BEST music!

Great piece of nostalgia and charm in the heart of downtown Roanoke. Family have made it a routine if we wind up downtown on a Sunday to stop in and grab a treat. Highly recommended jaunt in the Star City.

Thank You to Monet for your help and excellent service. I live in northeast Ohio and wanted to get some of the truffles from Nancy's Candy Co.,I was directed to The Candy Store since they stock these truffles. After a couple phone calls and speaking with Monet she was able to put together a rather large order of truffles and I paid for them over the phone then had a friend from the Roanoke area pick them up and get them shipped out to me. Now my friends and coworkers will get to sample the truffles that I have been raving about. Again thanks for your excellent customer service.
