Great little bar restaurant with really good food and fair prices.

I had the daily special: French Dip sandwich with drink included for $9.99. I did sub fries for the chips for $2.49 more and glad that I did.

One of the best French Dip sandwiches I've ever had. Service was good - had a new drink brought to me without asking when my first was still half full.

Definitely recommend giving this place a try.

We just went to Lew's for the first time. I ordered The Shakedown & my husband had the Tavern Burger. My sandwich was soooo good & so were my onion rings. My husband said his burger was also really good. It actually had steam coming off of it. When was the last time you saw that? Our server Eliza was a delight to interact with. She was very bubbly & didn't miss a beat as far as service & refills. We will definitely be back

Amazing customer service to start! Ordered three pizzas and 24 wings between two orders. I miscommunicated my order which was replaced happily. Very busy on a Sunday for a seemingly small spot. Wine and beer selection was a great mix or classics and new trendy flavors. Again, the gentleman who handled our take out orders was so friendly making great recommendations, and being patient with us as this was our first time. Sweet chili wings were great. Ordered pizza special which came unexpectedly square cut. Not a problem for me but for a kid who is picky yes, taste more than calmed the fit in progress and all was well. The pizza was heavy handed with topping but certainly not an issue and it was much appreciated. Great job to the staff!

Had the Blue Cheeseburger, it's EXCELLENT! First time here, I will return. Great service and restaurant is clean.

Neat little "hole in the wall" spot. Didn't expect to enjoy our visit on a Saturday afternoon so much. Lively, family friendly, large portions of really good food, with excellent service.
We'll be back!

I like this place and eat here often, dining in or at times I'll call in an order to pick up on my way home from work. Everyone's pretty friendly, casual dining area with plenty of seating plus a bar. Food is always good with nice variety of options. I usually get a hot sandwich and substitute fries or onion rings for the chips.

Like an old neighborhood bar & grill. Fries are the best!!!! The chicken tenders were perfectly crunchy outside and super tender inside and the mozzarella sticks were perfect as well with alot of stringy cheese!! Sweet Tea was spot on! Cheeseburger was cooked exactly how it was order, just a slight pink. Our waitress was a sweetheart!! We will return!!

Burgers were the best we’ve had since being in Roanoke. The avocado burger was amazing with the sriracha mayo. The double cheeseburger was huge and filling. Soup and sandwiches great as well. Amazing service and wonderful staff. Very friendly. Nice little place to be. Nothing fancy nor expensive. Parking was a tight and not ideal but worth it for the food. Will be coming back to try the pizza on pizza special nights.

Get the Philly Steak burger or Philly Steak sub, with extra cheese! Their beer-battered fries are great!
The onion rings were ok. Not amazing. I also highly recommend the tomato basil soup!!!
The atmosphere isn't bad for a bar setting at all. We saw several families with kids. The waiters and waitresses were very nice and down to earth.

EDIT 01182020 the Full Monty which is their double burger is (grilled to medium per request) amazing. The perfect amount of tomato, and cheese on a well toasted bun. I could not finish the one pound burger!
They have deep fried Oreos, which are the perfect way to end a meal here!
You really cannot go wrong!
And their staff, (especially Jerrod and the other bearded guy) continues to be top notch service!

Excellent bar restaurant. Parking is limited next to the building but there is a good amount of street parking at this location. They have a bar with several beers on tap and some in cans and bottles. There is a good amount of seating in the restaurant but the bar seating is closed for Covid-19 protocols. There is a all outdoor seating area between the building and the sidewalk with umbrellas. The food was made to order but still was reasonably quick. The waitress checked on us frequently enough to take care of the table but not so much that we were bothered. The food was good without complaints from anyone. Kids had spaghetti and another grilled cheese. Two of us had burgers and I had the wings. I would recommend this restaurant for sure.

My visit to this restaurant was great. The food is excellent and the staff are friendly. I got the bacon cheeseburger and beer batter fries with an ice cold PBR to wash it all down. The men's restroom was very clean also.

Don't let looks deceive you, this place is way more than a bar. The food was delicious and quality. We had the Turkey Reuben and Buffalo chicken wrap with potato salad and fries. The bread was soft and fresh and the sandwich was hot and full of flavor.

It's a neighborhood place. Families. Couples. It's winter break still here ... so lunchtime was more kid-heavy than usual. Great service. Cooked to order. Delivered quickly

Lew’s is one of our absolute favorite spots to eat in Roanoke. The wait staff and bartenders are so friendly and accommodating. The food is delicious and the price is right. Great spot for lunch or dinner!

I love a dive bar with food that's way above what you think you'd get at a dive bar. The Reuben was really good. I would have posted a photo, but my partner and I inhaled it too quickly. The Buffalo and garlic Parmesan wings were also very good, both fresh from the kitchen and as leftovers.

This place deserves all the hype it gets. We recently got some wings and I realized the chicken went bad. They were so quick to issue a refund and make sure we were taken care of. My friends and I ordered wings again the next day and they were incredible! So happy we have this spot to walk to nearby.

Just a nice local bar. Great beer and hard cider on tap. Great service, and great food!!!!
