Westover Park

We popped into Westover Park for the first time early this afternoon in search of a geocache. What a nice park. Love the playground. No Dogs Allowed or I would be posting my Cache Hound Penny on the slide. 😁 No worries, I got a photo of her in a tree.🌳 Lots of activity spaces including a picnic pavilion. I bet this is popping in the Spring, Summer, and Fall. In addition to the fab playground they have a baseball field, soccer field(s), sand volleyball, a one hoop basketball court, and restrooms. Definitely a gathering spot for all ages.

Very nice park! And bathrooms are cleaned everyday. The pavilion next to the playground is perfect for getting shade while having good line of site to the kids!

Absolutely love this little park! Perfect to keep kids corraled and entertained. Outside of the enclosed playground is a beach volleyball court, basketball court, open field, and a baseball field that is fenced. Parking spots are available, but plenty of easy street parking. Perfect little place for your budding American Ninja Warrior!

If you want to take a walk, this is such a great starting point with so many trails intersecting. You can go completely trail or manuever for a coffee in Ballston before you head back to your walk. 10,000 steps no problem, but shorter an easy option as well. Walkers, runners and bikers co-exist.

Westover is a nice park. Has a nice playground suitable for varied ages - swings, toddler slides/climbing, sand box, older kids jungle gym. Also has a baseball field, soccer field, sand volleyball, and basketball court. Also has a covered pavilion with lots of picnic tables and, the best part, real bathrooms instead of porta potties.

So tranquil what a place to take a nice walk

Got myself some Wendy's breakfast, which I was skeptical about because they do burgers well but bacon, egg, and cheese on a croissant I wasn't sure about. Hear ye Hear ye... Wendy's has a GREAT breakfast menu and the food is just like home. Get up early and try it out...I bet you will go back for more!

Yet another one of Arlington counties great little parks tucked away in a neighborhood. Nice picnic shelter, sand volleyball court, modern playground, sports field and baseball diamond. Mostly street parking and right off the bike path.

Very nice spot. Easily accessible. Very chill and you can say as long as you want as long as you behave. Bathrooms are a problem since you have to walk under the highway to get to them.

Westover Park is a very nice place. It would be even nicer if ALL the proper authorities could catch the many VIOLATORS who continuously let their dogs loose in this Park and other Parks around Arlington (VA). And since these VIOLATORS are very sneaky, the authorities are unable to catch them, though I sometimes think ALL three (3) agencies, i.e., Police, Park Rangers, and Animal Welfare, turn a blind eye to those blatant Park Rules VIOLATOR, for how is it I am constantly catching said VIOLATORS and not one of those self-same agencies are catching them? Most of the time it's the same VIOLATORS I keep catching, even after having pointed out the signs to them which state that "ALL DOGS MUST BE ON LEASH" OR "ALL DOGS MUST BE ON A LEASH AND IN THE CONTROL OF THEIR OWNER." My concern is for the safety of the Park visitors. And I especially don't want to ever hear or read about some man, woman or child having been attacked and/or mauled by a dog off its leash. So whoever is reading this, I ask that you please obey the Rules of ALL the Parks in Arlington County while you walk your dog. There are Dog Parks where you can let your dogs run free in.

Great little park; nice sand volleyball court that also has good lighting!

Great soccer and baseball fields. Kids playground has excellent equipment. Bathrooms and drinking fountain s also on site.

This will be an excellent park when the soccer field resodding is complete. Very accessible from trails and major roads.

Two ball fields. Soccer fields. Playground. Pavillion. All nice, especially with the pavilion right next to the playground.

Clean and well kept. Very enjoyable and relaxing to bring kids.

Great space for kids and adults, great for gatherings and fun times with family.

The best thing is that you make the pizza great.!!!!
You choose your toppings if the cake pizza sucks then you SUCK!!!!

Great rose garden- weddings are held here occasionally, including mine.
