Mill Mountain Theatre

The crowd was large, but the entrance and exit were handled well. Over half of the theatre goers were wearing masks, and the theatre and women's restroom was clean. The musical production of Million Dollar Quartet was phenomenal! The music was great, the actors and singers enthusiastic, and the one set was simple but interesting. There was no intermission during the 1 &1/2 hour production, but this had been noted ahead of time. The sound was excellent, and visuals were great from our center seats. Overall, it was a musical and humorous production that made for a very pleasant evening. Because of this, I purchased tickets for another upcoming production. Very fun and professional presentation!

Went to see Jersey Boys, and what a ride! The music and acting were superb. It's probably the best production I've seen at MMT in years, and I've been going since it was on top of Mill Mountain. Excellent in every way. I would post some pics, but photos are prohibited. The photos are from the digital program, which is cool, with so much more information.

Truly enjoyed the production of Elf The Musical at MMT! Everything about this holiday spirited show was professional, festive and fun! Had great seats in the third row center, but at times, the under stage instrument combo overpowered the actors' song. A more balanced sound might have been more evident in seats not as close to the combo. The true stand-out was the actor who played Buddy the Elf with his fluid facial expressions, excellent voice, and physical antics! Some of the actors played different characters, resulting in some serious quick costume changes. The choreography was also excellent, and all the actors were great in song and dance. Overall, it was truly a "get in the spirit" event, prompting all to " Sing loud for all to hear!" Photography was not allowed, so pics are from a WDBJ promotion.

First going to Mill Mountain Theater. We saw Bright Star and was it wonderful, the performers were great. Would definitely recommend anyone to go and see. Thank you!

It was fabulous. Jersey Boys is amazing. The entire cast is top drawer. Not a misstep in the whole production. Do not miss it!

What great time I had at Mill Mountain Theater last night! The Trinkle main stage is a great venue. I went to see Million Dollar Quartet and it was an outstanding performance --the actors, set and acoustics, direction--everything. Not a bad seat in the house.. I can't wait for the next production

I have never been disappointed in any production I have been to at Mill Mountain Theatre, and have been going for years! I leave every show saying “that was my favorite”!
Can't wait for the next production!

Went here for the first time as an anniversary present from the in laws. We went in with an open mind to see a musical play but for the life of me I can't remember it's name. We both enjoyed the show it was fun and different. During the halftime break for restrooms etc we hit the candy shoppe which connects to the main lobby and had a great evening

Went to see In the Heights. This was our first time there. We liked it and the theater serves its purpose. Hope one year it will have a bigger stage with seats that are not so squished together. But all in all it was a nice little theater .

The play was wonderful! It just made you want to get up and dance. The Million Dollar Quartet, Elvis, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis, were really talented - singing and playing their own instruments. Well worth the time and energy. Takes you back in time.

I was thoroughly impressed with the play West Side Story. As a lifelong fan and attendee of New York Broadway shows, I have to admit that the production I saw tonight rivaled many shows in the Big Apple. The casting was phenomenal, choreography that felt like the movie, and acting that was beyond impressive. I will be back to see another show soon! I can't wait!

Just saw the last performance of The Sound of Music! 12/22/19 2pm The play was outstanding!!! The actors did a great job. Loved this performance. One of the best plays I have seen at the Mill Mountain Theatre.

All around wonderful experience. When the gentleman in charged realized our large group's seats were scattered all around, he worked things out so we could all sit together. The children put on a lovely production that everyone greatly enjoyed. The sets and costuming were beautifully done.

We very much enjoyed the musical "The Million Dollar Quartet". Top quality performance. Not a bad seat in the house. Downtown Roanoke can be busy at night and parking can be a challenge so plan accordingly.

Attended a production of West Side Story. The actress who played Maria was stunningly talented. Not sure how they got such a performer down to Roanoke, but she is surely destined for bigger stages. Delightful energy and the voice of an angel. Be aware that the venue has steep seating. I saw an older woman fall on her backside as she tried to make her way towards an exit. Bring a sweater as well, the house can be chilly.

Perfect! Great show. Not a bad seat in the house. Convenient parking. Low cost venue for the quality of the cast. Even the sound was great. If you have any interest in live theater, go to Mill Mountain Theater!

Mill Mountain is like my second home. It's been a huge part of my life since I first moved to this area at just 11 years old. The Mill Mountain theatre community immediately welcomed me in to their family. They put on incredible shows, and they have an amazing conservatory program with awesome classes and summer camps for kindergartners through adults. These camps/classes include musical theatre, acting, dance, and more. Get your tickets for their next show now! Don't miss out!

In general the theater is is wonderfully laid out in a fantastic area of downtown Roanoke. With plenty of parking nearby granted you do have to pay for it but at the very least it is accessible. They are taking wonderful precautions against covid and are still welcoming and a joy to be around.

My daughter recently attended a summer theater camp at Mill Mountain. She loved it. The staff was great; friendly, and enthusiastic. My daughter gained a lot of self-confidence and just had a really fun week! I highly recommend their summer camps/conservatory classes.

A Chorus Line was AMAZING! Professional, fun, and simply excellent. We are musical theater snobs and have seen many musicals, some numerous times (Once, Book of Mormon etc.). We were blown away by A Chorus Line @ Mill Mountain. We are going back on Thursday! Bob Capito and Bob Williams, Rockbridge Baths, Va.

Great live Theater. I've saw a many of good productions from Mill Mountain Theater. They have been a staple of Live Theater here in Roanoke for many many years.
