My fried chicken sandwich was very tasty with perfectly prepared, moist, tender chicken and a French roll. The customers at the tables outside all had potato balls and were raving about them, so I tried these with Parmesan. The sandwich portion was large enough I wasn’t able to eat more than one of the potato balls, which were good if you like fried mashed potato. (Not my thing.). The fries looked even better.

There were many different vegetarian sandwich options, and all sandwiches were available as salads.

The outdoor seating was limited but pleasant. On a bad weather day you’d have to grab and go as there is no indoor seating.

The staff were friendly, the service was quick.

This spot is conveniently located right by campus and offers some delicious sandwiches, salads, and of course POTATO PUFFS!! Wow lemme tell you - they were worth the hype. So crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Their sandwiches are BIG and filled with so many fresh and delicious ingredients. The dessert was also super good - the chocolate fold pastry being my favorite 😍 Hands down will be visiting this cute spot again!!

Note: Their menu changes every quarter so make sure to visit often to try all their items! They have limited indoor and outdoor seating and only street parking.

I had a total of 3 sandwiches 2 orders of potatoe puffs 2 waters and sparkling water and bread pudding. My total came up to about $100 it was worth it, In my opinion.I have a family of 4, we normally spend that amount on food or more, lol. Everything was fresh, delicious, and well seasoned definitely will come back my kids 😍 loved the potatoe puffs.

absolutely delicious sando and salads. Great ingredients. We got the lamb leg sandwich, salmon salad, potato puff. And the banana cake was okay, a little too oily.

Two words: potato puffs! Such a delicious and unique twist on potatoes. The best way to describe them is like tiny crispy pockets of fried mashed potatoes. I also highly recommend the fried buttermilk sandwich with spicy slaw, beats any hot chicken sandwich. We also recommend trying the flank steak salad and garlic fries 🔥

Quaint hidden gem that serves French sandwiches and salads. Came here for a quick lunch before heading over to the airport. It’s primarily a takeout spot, but there were a couple of tables outside to sit and eat there. You can order online in advance and our food was ready in 20 minutes in a Monday around noon. The potato balls were super addicting with a crispy exterior, and mashed potato like interior. Paid extra for the garlic sauce and I would highly recommend doing that. My fried chicken sandwich was very filling and I saved half of it for lunch the following day. My friend really enjoyed his scallop salad and it is definitely a healthier option. This place would be good to pick up some food prior to doing a picnic and the packaging was very convenient, as it’s compostable.

The potato puffs are to die for! I always get the gravy to dip them in- it’s sublime. Order ahead to pick up. We had a cauliflower tempura wrap with moroccan style carrots and raisins that was simply an incredible flavor combination. My teen loved it.

I really enjoyed the food here! A local in the area recommended this place since they constantly have a rotating menu. You never know what they will have! They have a self-ordering kiosk window or you can order online for pickup/delivery.

I lived for the Steak and Brie sandwich! Creamy rich brie cheese melted on top of tender steak and a sharp dijon mustard sauce. This was incredible! Three of my favorite ingredients packed inside of some good quality bread. Definitely worth the $16+ spent.

My favorite though? DEFINITELY the potato puffs! They were so tender and delicate. The perfect mashed potato texture in the center. Dunk it in the yellow curry sauce? HEAVENLY! My only critique is that they're really heavily salted. I'm curious to try the different flavors of potato puffs in the future.

Great customer service! Food tasted great as well. We tried the potato puffs and the Spicy chicken sandwich which was pretty good. I liked how the bun was soft but not soggy on the sandwich. I look forward to trying their other options!

Damn I forgot about how amazing the potato puffs are. I haven't been here for maybe 8 years...they do not disappoint. Cauliflower sandwich: fab, Moroccan flavor profile. The child will never eat other tots or potato products without comparing them to the puffs. They're looking to franchise, and I wish that was my skill set but also I'd definitely have a "high on one's own supply" problem.

I used to come here 10yrs ago when I was a student at Cal. It amazing then and its still same great quality now! It was so nostalgic since nothing much has changed besides the fact they have salads now which is a great addition. Its a must visit if you are in berkeley. Much love for Gregoire.

Wanted the best Fried Chicken Sandwich as we don't live here and since this was the 1st to pop up. Boy are we super glad, bestever. Had the sandwich was on point had the Poutine best I've ever had and the Potatoe Puffs we loved it all. Will be telling everyone about this lovely Gem. Super happy and satisfied. Will be back for sure and bringing people. Excellent and the people were also super friendly. Made our day and our dog, lol.

I was getting ready to move and had never gotten around to giving them a try, despite having heard about how good they were in the past.
I decided to stop by the week before I'd be leaving so that I could finally try them - I definitely wasn't disappointed!!
I wish I had gotten them sooner now!

They had a mobile app with discounts and rewards available on it that made it very quick and easy to place an order for the potato puffs - they were ready within a few minutes of placing it and was able to walk right in and pick them up.

It's a very tiny establishment, clearly designed primarily for take-out, as there were just a few outdoor patio tables.
The service was very quick and efficient, however, so no issues there!

As for the potato puffs themselves, they were beautifully presented in a little hexagonal (I think) shaped box that was very aesthetic for photo-taking!
The potato puffs inside were steamy hot and came with some dipping sauce (I'm not quite sure what exactly type of sauce) that tasted great with them.
The puffs have a perfectly crispy and crunchy exterior as you bite into them, and then a gooey, mushy interior that just melts into your mouth and tastes like the riches, creamiest bite of mashed potatoes ever!
The slight tang from the sauce that you can dip them into was a great accompaniment to the textures and flavors of the puffs!

I haven't tried other food items from Gregoire's, but if they're anything like the potato puffs, they're probably delicious as well!

Definitely an incredibly delectable and delightful appetizer snack.
I'd get them again in a heartbeat, and I highly recommend!

Absolutely delicious. Came for the potato puffs, which were great, but the duck confit sandwich and the mushroom quiche were the real stars. Service was friendly and, though the place was very busy, reasonably fast.

Food was ready for pickup hot and it remained warm until I ate it 30 minutes later. It was the best take out food. I will definitely be back!

Cute little restaurant! The chicken sandwich was excellent, although it was a bit spicier than I expected. The potato puffs were like nothing I have ever had before. I don’t really know how to describe them other than “extremely fluffy.”

Lovely spot to try! I guess the salad within the sandwich is kind of unique. Both the bread and the chicken are crispy.

Love their fried chicken sandwich and potato balls. They have conveniently added a self-order kiosk as well to reduce the physical line. Chicken was slightly dry, but it is well balanced with the sauce and slaw that goes along with it. The potato balls are perfect, nothing else like it. Well seasoned and the mix of the fried outside texture with the mashed potato insides is a great combo. Can't wait to go again.
