Golden Gate Fields

We went to Foodie Land!!! It was at Golden Gate Fields Berkeley. The parking was $15 and we had free tickets to get in the event. We didn’t have to pay for parking we just parked by the walking trail which is next to the $15 parking lot. It was easy parking because we went early when it opened the gates 11AM. There was long lines going around the event but the line went pretty quickly. The weather was great! Not too hot and not cold just perfect Saturday! 😇
Since we were early no food lines!!!!! But when there was it was pretty short and went fast! Food was good but expensive but we were prepared. They had a big eating area with live music and DJ! We had a BLAST!!!!

We visited golden gate fields for big bounce America bounce house. We had to go around to park. Parking was 10dollars. We can bring in our own food, chair, mat. They also had food trucks, water station and medics. Overall nice fields. We did not visit the horse race. The wind from the ocean made the place fresh.

Parking entrance is near the Buchanan street exit.

It's easy to imagine this place as a showcase for the sport rather than its reality of an owner who is becoming very good at planning shutdowns for its tracks. As It is, we enjoyed the day. Solid concessions, easy access to betting machines and an incredibly friendly staff. I emailed the day before our visit to be sure we could store some luggage. Not only did a representative call me to assure me it could be done, the person at the gate knew our names and took care of things as promised.

We would return if fates allow.

All age kids approved! So much fun! The lines seem long, but they move quickly! 3 hours is more than enough. And finishing the trip with vendor food 😋 just a great experience.

Came here for the foodieland festival, highly recommend! All sorts of cool clothes and unusual treats (pictured are frog legs), and the costal winds feel absolutely lovely.

I was skeptical about going since I love horses and worried they would get hurt while racing. Overall everything went smooth and it was a cool experience seeing them up close. You can go to the ground level and see them race.

They allow outside food which I recommend since inside there’s not much selection.

My ranch group and I went for a named race (Tri R Ranch). The turf club was awesome and the buffet was of the best we’ve experienced.
The races were great. Hospitality and courtesy was exceptional!!!

Had a great time. The food was good. Kids had a great time. Make sure you follow signs, i haven't been there in a few years, and the entrance and parking have changed. Definitely Miss Dollar Days. I hope they bring it back with live bands

Sit in the stands and watch the races or sit in the parking lot and watch the view, 5 stars either way. Nostalgic, seedy crowd, jockeys, horses, drinks, views, what more do you need? Great memories are made here.

Turf Club: Fantastic. Great food, classic ambience, good service. Beautiful views, both east toward track and hills and west toward GG Bridge.

I have to be honest this was a trip down memory lane for me... Remembering myself as a child playing while the adults had a ball, supernostalgic for me had a great time with my son and his friends. Everyone's so nice. The icing on the cake was my son and his friends. They actually won! Lol

Win or lose, we always have a great time at the Turf Club! Love playing the ponies and the service is always top notch! Don't forget your lucky hat!

A great place to visit for live racing and entertainment. Good food and beverages. Best kept secret in the Bay Area, as they don't advertise much.

The greatest race place that isn’t Santa Anita, because it is Golden Gate fields and even better because it’s in NorCal and the Bay Area.

Had a great day at the races! Reasonable prices. It was nice seeing the horses and jockeys up close. Friendly staff to help make bets. I also won a few times.

We had our end of the year party here! Large group of approx. 20 people. All you can eat buffet with great prime rib. We had a blast raffling off items, betting on races and eating! They named a race after the company and let the entire team take a photo with the winning jockey of the 5th race! Great experience with Bernie as our host. She was very nice and attentive - shot out to her and her team for taking care of the StarCare team! Definitely recommend the Golden Gate Fields for parties/events.

Beautiful views of the water in front. Great view of the east bay and highway behind the race track. Great buffet, with a good selection of carved meats, hot entrees including pasta, vegetables and fish, salads and desserts. Coffee, tea and iced tea included in buffet price. Great service.

Great experience for my whole family. We were greeted at the entrance with smiles and thank you's. My kids enjoyed the live band as well as the beautiful horses. We came to visit during dollar days which makes it even better since hot dogs and drinks were only a buck. Will be sure to go again soon.
