La Note

Lovely lovely French restaurant. I went there for my birthday breakfast and tried the orange marmalade omelet, which was tasty, but I really recommend the ham and cheese omelet with potatoes on the side. The potatoes were perfectly seasoned! Waitstaff was super nice, even though they were swamped when we went (Friday at 1030 am).
The interior design is phenomenal. It truly brought me back to Europe. Give it a try!

It was pretty good! I went to other brunch places in Berkeley, and I think this one is the best.

It was very crowded in a weekday morning. It took me some time to find street parking. The portion was large, and the food was pretty good.

The place was pretty with all kinds of decorations. The only thing is that the place was a bit too loud for a conversation.

Always delicious every time (but be sure to make reservations! Very busy spot.) outdoor patio and indoor seating available. Both of which have a lovely atmosphere. Great omelettes, pastries, coffees, and alcoholic beverages. They have just the right ratio of champagne:juice in their mimosas (in other words.. more champagne than juice!)

Quaint and rustic with homey feel-good flair and exceptional service. Breakfast was out of this world! Eggs, potatoes (best b-fast potatoes I've had), and real sliced sourdough toast. I had a double espresso and dropped in a lump of (table provided) raw sugar. Delicious! This would be a weekly breakfast destination if lived closer.

We came here for breakfast and had an excellent experience. We ordered the omelette fromage et jambon, cote est with an oatmeal raspberry pancake, cote sud, and les oeufs lucas. Everything we ordered was excellent, but our favorites were the oatmeal raspberry pancake and the home fries. We’ll definitely be back when we’re back in Berkeley!

We ordered double cappuccino and regular coffee. Both were properly brewed. Cappuccino is strong and flavorful!
Ordered 3 egg omelette with ratatouille, house fries and sourdough toast. Their butter is at the perfect temperature and melts on the toast as you spread it. House fries are the best I've eaten so far.
Lemon and gingerbread pancake 🥞 is definitely worth trying.

A nice note of Frenchness, beautifully decorated with south of France posters. Great baguette and nice ratatouille! The staff is outstandingly nice! We enjoyed a great brunch!

I don’t usually do breakfast so the list of places to try is long. Finally got to cross this place off the list in a great way. Must try: “TARTINE” baguette style bread w/ goat cheese & honey. This was the star of the show while the other items didn’t disappoint. That was my first time having goat cheese so it was a shocker as well.
There are a lot of great choices on the menu, Home fries (out of this world), fresh squeezed Oj(great stuff), lemon gingerbread pancakes(taste like a cookie out of the oven), scrambled eggs with the roasted tomatoes(out of this world).
La Note is a spot that you must try more than once or bring a date and share a few items, too many choices in a good way.
*would recommend having reservations as they do fill up. We got lucky as a walk in but wouldn’t desire the table again.

The food quality was excellent! I’m the end that is the most important aspect of any restaurant. Service was prompt. I would recommend the hot chocolate. Sooooo good.
They did run out of some pastries though, so go early.

When you want an extremely good breakfast and take someone for a special occasion AM meal that will blow their socks off - go to LA Note!
Don't go hungry because the wait can be a bit brutal but this place is totally worth the wait! If you go on a sunny day, the outside patio is divine! They make sure the umbrellas are movable and able to keep you shaded, if desired. The bread basket is a great way to start a breakfast for 3 or more. Otherwise, it can be a bit much for 2 people. You can practically throw a dart at the menu when ordering because everything is good! I like to go here late in the morning or early afternoon during the week to avoid the wait and crowd. Tables are very close inside but again, it's worth the tight squeeze to enjoy this delicious food for breakfast or lunch!

Although there was supposed to be a 20 minute wait, we were actually seated after only about ten minutes. The brunch menu is short but chock full of classic French brunch items. Lemon water was served immediately. We ordered two different egg dishes. Note that if you'd rather have baguette or croissant than toast, it's 2.75 extra. Also, lunch items are not available to order until 11am.

Absolutely. Amazing french breakfast. Hard to top the food and service here. We got lots of coffee, adult drinks, Cote sud, omelette du fromage, and a single lemon ginger pancake

Lovely restaurant that serves delicious breakfast. The place is popular and always packed so be prepared to wait before you’re seated. Ordered a Double Mocha, Coffee Cake and Cote Sud. It was perfectly delicious.

The food tasted so good. The service was also good: I wanted to have the omelette and baguette (which is not a default option for side of bread), and the server said she could customize that for me.

Very busy place, uniquely decorated, we ordered cinnamon French toast and ham and cheese omelet, both were very good, especially the tasty home fries, for a first timer we will go again.

Close to breakfast in Paris! Came early on a Monday morning to avoid the crowds and was so happy I did. Easy parking out front, seated right away. Loved the bread basket and double latte. Didn’t expect such generous portions so ended up taking the majority of my eggs and potatoes home, but they were delicious. Excellent service, lots of nice little touches. I’m sure it’s crazier on weekends but if you can visit on a weekday morning this is slow perfection.

Wonderful French spot in Berkeley. Lots of parking. We went after lunch rush and service was leisurely, but given european intentional meal pace, not bad. Charcuterie board and healthy sandwich portions.

A really good brunch spot, and most definitely a must try. Their home fries were just simply cooked to perfection. The eggs were pretty good so were the ham and bacon. The sourdough was one of my favorite!
Overall, a really good place in Berkeley with food of higher standards and you can tell because of the amount of awards and/or plaques on the wall.

The only downside of this place was the long wait, but it was worth the wait. Friendly staff and legit french brunch in a Europe-like vibe.
