Not sure who teaches these youngsters customer service skills! They are amazing! Polite! Friendly!Very helpful and very knowledgeable. And not one bit overbearing. Awesome peeps! My daughter, my son and I have been here a million and one times and never one bad experience. Whoever is teaching them how to treat their customers should make their training available for other stores to learn and take notes. Great job!

Super dope! Pet friendly! Just bought some trucks and hardware, the girl ( was blond, didn't get her name) who helped me was chill and knowledgeable about the products, everyone else was also very chill, cool vibes. Will be coming back fur sure!

I just want to come on here and say how thankful I am to the two gentlemen who were working on 10/28/2021 at around 7:30pm. While I was shopping in the store , a guy came up to me and started hitting on me and I told him no about 10 times and I started getting scared for my life because this guy wouldn’t take no for an answer and they realized I was scared and helped me and got the guy off my back. I was seriously scared for my life and I’m still spooked and I don’t know what I would have done if they weren’t working that night! Thank you guys !

Not sure why everyone under-rates this store as it is simply amazing. At first I called to ask at what time they closed as we were stuck in traffic coming from San Francisco and they said it wouldn't be a problem keeping the store open for me. They even went the extra step and asked me what I was interested to buy and reserved the board for me until when I arrived. Once at the store, the customer service was incredibleincredible, helping me select bearings and grease for the board. They brought everything to the cashier to checkout for me. Even after the purchase they came outside with me to see if I like the board and even gave me recommendations on tightening the trucks. Overall this is a great store with incredibly open and kind staff. The staff definately deserve a raise.

Marie (sp?) was super attentive and knowledgeable during my recent visit with 3 kids in tow, taking time to explain to them the different types of boards available and for what type of riding. Left with 2 boards and a hat! 🙌🏾

I have been to this store before, but not in Oakland. The young lady that greeted me was so nice and offered me assistance. Loved the customer service and selection. I'll be back 😉.

Their customer service saved the day. I had two whiney kids who didn't want to walk around shopping after we missed the movie we came to watch. We walked into Zumiez because my son wanted to look at their t-shirts. He's small and only eleven so he couldn't fit many. We found a small section of kid sizes but the young woman offered to help and got down two shirts, one for my son and the other for my daughter. Both of them love the shirts and they left smiling and happy. As we walked out my son saw more things he liked. We will be back.

These kidz know what's up. Got some classic Vans, nostalgia seeing a Grandmother with her grandkidz and even witnessed a theft and recovery of some shoes.

I went to the Vans store first but got no help, no greeting and no purchase. When I get the urge I'll be picking up a new deck, trucks and wheels after 20 years.

I didn't buy anything but I had an awesome customer experience from omari. he knows his footwear really darn well and made recommendations even outside of the store, thanks man
