Tidewater Boating Center

When running around Oakland (especially when it involves activism bureaucracy etc), this is a beautiful estuary space at which to chill and detox from it all. There are nice trees (strawberry trees!), benches, grass (with planny laukahi…), cool wildlife to watch, good bathrooms (tho I wish they were open longer!), and generally space to breathe.

Together with East Bay regional park district, outdoor recreation department, Oakland strokes, this place is very popular with boys and girls rowing!

A nice trail to walk, run, bike, walk your dog, etc. Good place to fish when the tide is high and beautiful plants to take photos of. I love going to this place.

Beautiful place to visit with your family and friends. Excellent point of interest, clean public bathrooms and they are handicap accessible. Lots of free parking also has handicap parking. Nice place for fishing. Children welcome.

This is a total gem of a park with a huge dock to launch kayaks, canoes, or paddle boards from. Go right from the dock and you're a couple miles paddling from Jack London, or you can head out on the San Leandro Bay and see a ton of wildlife or even head through the channel by Bay Farm and into the SF Bay. Ample parking whether you're boating, fishing, or biking along the Bay Trail.

With its large, low freeboard dock, this is a great place to launch your paddle board or kayak. Easy parking. Small shaded park with picnic tables and restrooms.

It's a great place for a picnic, walk, bike ride and quiet. You can see the Colesium and if you walk far enough, the SF skyline.
