Peet's Coffee

ACTUALLY compostable lids! Perhaps this is more a message to corporate or whoever decided to switch from plastic lids to compostable. Thank you. You are beautiful, and we appreciate you! The young Barista told me, "Yes they are compostable, but they do not last that long". Neither does coffee! Lol. A temporary solution for a temporary problem. Now that is thinking. Thank you! Delicious espresso by the way.

Peet's is the best. Starbucks was founded by former Peet's people, they changed the color from brown to green, gave it a meaningless name (peet's is named for the founder, Alfred Peet) and gave the sizes dumb names.

I stopped in to order a caramel macchiato coffee,
All was well the coffee was great had lots of flavor and not as much sugar and Starbucks has.
Although I like Starbucks at times, they use an awful lot of sugar.

Hand made French toast pourover at 1:30 on a Tuesday afternoon. Mm mm good! Graciously made and served.

Organic Alameda Morning Blend: French Roast: Peet’s coffee was recommended to me by one of my co-nurses at work back in 2019 and it quickly stormed its way to the top of my favorite coffee brands. Fun fact, the founders of Starbucks knew the founder of Peet's Coffee and Starbucks originally purchased their beans from Peet's. The Alameda Morning Blend is a medium roast coffee that has a flavor profile consisting of dulce de leche, cocoa, and florals. Peet's accomplishes this by acquiring their coffee beans from some of the best growing regions on the planet. Ethiopia contributes a floral and citrus aroma, Sumatra a heavy and earthy body, Columbia a lively and sweet acidity, and Honduras for the sweet cocoa and dulce de leche. It gets its name from the city that houses the Peet's roastery in California. The Alameda roastery is the nation's first LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold Certified roasting facility. Although it's not my favorite blend from Peet's (that honor goes to Major Dickason’s), it is still delicious and makes for a satisfying alternative. Doughboy approved
*I brew my coffee using 8oz of water to 2 tablespoons of grounds, adding 1 packet of Splenda and 1.5oz of vanilla almond milk

Very nice ambience and friendly staff. Little hard to find parking though

This Pete's in particular is not just a coffee shop. Grab a cuppa, a morning bun and sit for a few and see that this Pete's is embraced by it's neighborhood. Sunday mornings are pre-little legue Coach's meetings and talk of weather amongst weekend ocean swimmers. Sprinkled in are quick pop-ins, dressed for church, grabbing the choirs' mobile order - all ready boxed. Breathe that in and warm your soul. This Pete's has the quintessence of life.

Great place to hang out and relax enjoy a cup of coffee.

Love this place and the terrific people who make it all work.

I love their beans, since trying them i stopped buying Starbucks.
All their employees are really nice and friendly.
Also the pastries are really good, I love their banana & walnut bread.

Friendly staff, quick service, clean and clear presentation. They even have different options than just the standard baked goods for food and I just tried the cold brew, excellent.
This location is in the middle of downtown Alameda, a perfect location to refuel a while strolling the shops.

I've been to many Peet's Coffee & Tea cafes and this one has one of the nicest staffs. I can guarantee myself to walk in and see someone behind the counter with a smile on their face no matter how busy or empty it is. I also noticed its very clean inside and rarely do I feel like it's a mess in there. They work hard and if you think these guys take too long to serve you beans or just a cup o Joe then scram and cross the street to Starbutts or Starsucks.

This place is very welcoming. The barista was friendly and diligent, as was the woman at the register. Good feeling in there. I love the breakfast burritos.

Their jasmine tea is my favorite and while some of their accessories are a bit pricey, they're good quality. I like that you get a card for a free cup when you buy bulk coffee and I much prefer a local company over the one from Seattle.

Pet's coffee is my morning ringer usually I get the medium roste coffee a bit strong taste than dark roste coffee if they don't have just take your time to make you the fresh medium rostte coffee and have blessed day.

My new favorite coffee is the Havana. Yum yum. So tasty. Heads up, most of the Peet's in my area all close early.

It's very clean, the wait is very short with tables & wait bench to sit down IF needed for 'to go drinks', restrooms are always kept clean, it is nice and quiet even when filled to capacity and of course the coffee is the GREATEST and free Wi-Fi inside, oh, if you prefer Starbucks, they are directly across the street from Peet's. .......PEETS IS FOR ME.....
