Dr. Jarvis did a wonderful job on an infected wisdom tooth. His experience and expertise are much appreciated. As good as the dental staff is, I would be remiss if I did not mention the amazing front office staff. Nadia got me in same day filling a cancellation when I called with sudden severe pain. They worked with me to compete all the necessary paperwork prior to my appointment and were incredibly helpful obtaining my records from my normal dentist. I am very impressed with the office.

AMAZING!!! Everything about this place is wonderful. From the helpful and sweet office staff, to the clean and beautiful facilities, to the medical assistants (Liz is incredible!), to the best oral surgeon ever: Dr. Jarvis!!!! I have had 3 separate procedures done here, and every time they go above and beyond to make me feel super comfortable and taken care of. My recovery is always way easier than I anticipate, and that just shows how skilled Dr. Jarvis is! He is also so funny and interesting to talk to, and he and Liz and his other medical assistants are a joy to be around. Also, the procedures Dr. Jarvis has done for me has improved my health immensely! It has truly changed my life. I can’t say enough good things about this place, and I am so grateful I found them!

Hands down, the most wonderful experience I've ever had at a dental office. I was told by another oral surgeon that I would need all 4 wisdom teeth removed. Dr. Jarvis and his entire team took their time looking over my case and answering every question. I do not need my wisdom teeth removed after all. Finally, there's a team in the industry that does not over-treat, genuinely cares, and puts patients over profits. Highly recommend!

I've never been to a dentist who was as personable and felt as genuine as Dr. Jarvis. He has a sweet sense of humor and communicated with me very well as to how the procedure was going to go and what to expect. I had a failed root canal removed which I imagined to be brutal, but he assured me it wasn't such a big deal. And in fact, as I am leaving his office right now, I feel little pain now as well as during the procedure. I truly felt like I was in good hands and it was actually a good experience once I let go of the fear. Would definitely recommend his work. Also, his office is so beautiful, with gorgeous plants and crystals and books inside. Looks more like a spa than a dental surgeon's office. They also have a little children's corner if kids have to wait with some fun toys and books. Thanks again Dr. Jarvis and team.

I give Marin Dental Wellness Center top rating and would recommend it to all my friends and family for comprehensive dental needs & care. Dr. Brian Smith is an excellent dentist and is always patient with explanations. He never rushes into treatment without providing a clear and easy to understand reasons of "why." Not only is Dr. Smith great, his practice is equipped with state-of-the art technologies. Everyone from his dental hygienist, to his dental assistants, to the front office, is professional and courteous. I am 100% satisfied! The only thing I wish for is my dental insurance would cover more of my expenses. But that is a whole other topic.

I can without a doubt say that Dr. Jarvis saved my life. Another dentist had removed my wisdom teeth incorrectly, allowing a hidden infection to set into my jawbone. For six years I suffered, not knowing if I would ever feel okay again. It was a tough time in my life, and I clung to the hope that there was a cause, and therefore, a cure. I flew to San Francisco on a hope and a prayer that Dr. Jarvis could help where multiple naturopaths, dentists, orthodontists, and medical doctors had failed. He imaged my jaw with a cone beam CT scan, and then showed me exactly where he thought my issues could be coming from. This was crucial, because no one previously could show me what was going on. Some couldn't see anything, and some thought I had a problem, but could not show me anything to back that up! Dr. J showed me, and recommended a conservative surgical option to remove the infection. I was in surgery the next day, and because I was not sedated, I was aware of the exact moment when the infection was cleared out of my jawbone. I have never felt such a wave of peace and elation wash over me. It was the most wonderful feeling in the world. All this happened while Dr. J was humming out a tune, telling me jokes, and performing his surgical duties with the most expert dexterity and skill. He truly is a happy guy! I felt no pain that day, required no pain meds, and he was incredibly supportive in the post-operative phase. Not to mention how wonderful and caring the office staff were! I healed excellently, and slowly began to regain my health. I just passed the one year mark since this surgery, and I have never been happier, healthier, and more content. I needed to tell other people this story. If you feel like there is a problem with your jaw, do not hesitate to reach out to Marin Dental Wellness and Dr. Jarvis for help. From friendly, warm people at the front, to caring and thoughtful hygienist treatments, to Dr. Smith, 100% engaged to doing his very best in state of the art, as natural as possible, treatments and resolution. Everyone cares. Due to my genetics, I've been to so many dentists and oral surgeons throughout my life, and I can say I have never felt like my mouth was in such positive hands.

We are so happy and so grateful to have found these amazing dentists. They are so helpful, patient and knowledgeable. We travel 3 hrs to come but it is well worth the drive. They are so patient with our kids and dont push anything on us and work with us on every situation. I feel so grateful to have found Dr. Jarvis! One of my root canals had been bothering me for years and stupid me let my regular dentist tell me it didn't hurt. (Like she knows when I feel pain or not) So I found a holistic dentist in SF who from just talking with me and looking at my x-rays knew that something was wrong. So she sent me to Dr. Jarvis who took a 3D xray and pointed out all of the areas where I have bacteria leaking into my body from my root canals and wisdom teeth holes. I had 2 root canals painlessly taken out 2 days ago and sure enough, the one that was bothering me had an abscess and the another one was rotten with damage to it. I'm going to get my last root canal out and get my body HEALED! I'm so excited about all of this.
I also LOVE the vitamin C IV drip and using my own red blood cells to help heal my mouth. Dr. Jarvis is so professional and truly has a passion for oral surgery and making his patients feel better. I can't recommend him enough!

This was my first experience of a true holistic dentist. I've been searching for one for a while - someone who supports preventative measures rather instantly resorting to extreme intervention. I felt very safe with Brian. I left feeling inspired and with new insights about my dental health. He even gave me a jaw massage to help with tension due to misalignment! I am entirely grateful to Marin Dental Wellness in Mill Valley. I adore Dr. Brian Smith and his team of caring, professional, knowledgeable dental clinicians, from reception, bookkeeper, hygienists, dentists and assistants. Megan and I have been patients at MDW for a couple of years now. I had two teeth fixed yesterday. Mercury removed and a broken tooth "rebuilt." It took a couple of hours, during which time I experienced zero discomfort (beyond typical patient anxiety going in) throughout the process. Even my anxiety was mitigated because my dentist, Dr. Brian Smith, summarized the procedure up front and updated me along the way. The office uses cutting edge, "green" technology whenever possible. For instance, because Brian's equipment and knowledge is state-of-the-art, I could rest assured he had taken proper measures to prevent mercury exposure to anyone in the office. I cannot say enough good things about this dental practice; they are kind, friendly, caring, prompt. My 12-year-old loves them, too. Marin Dental Wellness hosts a kid-friendly place. The dentists there align on green dental principles. Really an experience to behold. Just go. Plan to make an appointment with a reasonable waiting period as everyone in Marin seem to love this dental team. Lucky for us, the office has moved and expanded to accommodate their rising popularity. And before the dentists and staff even start their workday together, minds attune together in a group meditation that explicitly sets the group's intention for the day. I know because I have walked in on this early morning meeting quite a few times. They invariably invite me to join in. How cool is that?

I had the most comprehensive dental consultation I have ever had in my life. Dr. Smith was very thorough, information and very pleasant to chat with. He gave me much more insight to dental wellness than I expected. A very good experience with Dr. Smith and his staff.

This place was more than just Dental. The atmosphere was one of a day spa and the products that they market in their office are very clean for the body. Oh and their fresh alkaline water was fabulous

A very calm and soothing environment. This is not just a place to get your teeth cleaned but to learn about how to care for them. I also take my son (9.5yrs) and he is treated respectfully and with great care. He learned so much about his own mouth and feels empowered to care for it and is very willing to participate in his treatment. If you are looking for alternative dentistry, this is the place.

My dental hygiene treatment today with Dr Susan Hahn was an adventure in education about my gum health and proper toothbrush position, and easy conversation about life in its many facets while next door two women were joyfully singing to a young boy who was also getting an hygiene treatment. What more would I want? Many thanks to practitioners and a dental practice with such positive energy in these times of high stress.

Dr. Brian Smith and Dr. Hahn are both excellent and cutting edge practitioners , I had a mercury filling taken out today and it was smooth and safe and all the staff is great . Where do I begin. This place is dental paradise. Dr. Jarvis listened and trusted my experience and gave me the treatments or medications I needed to address them. His disposition is gentle and warm. And his surgical skill is strong, confident, and adept. And he let me know what things costed before I elected to have them because he knew my budget was tight.

The office staff is unparalleled. I'v been sick a long time, so I'v had to deal with alot of medical office staff...and more often than not it is a stressful experience. Lizanne & Sherrie work together as a strong team. They're help and support eased my anxiety around a difficult surgery a great deal! They reminded me that there were things I had to ask the doctor before I left. When I was panicked and needed to come to make sure things we're okay, they found me a slot that would give me the most time. They just calmly did everything in their power to get me thru a rough moment. I'm grateful.

The dental assistants Herman and Liz were lovely as well. They made me feel very comfortable while the doctor prepped for surgery. This place makes me wish I lived here. I want it for everyone who has hidden dental infections.

Marin Dental Wellness gets 1000 stars (not just 5!) I have TEARS OF GRATITUDE for this amazing practice! The experience at Marin Dental Wellness was euphoric, amazing, and actually LIFE CHANGING! I am filled with a sense of awe and wonder. This is how dentistry was meant to be! My young son had multiple cavities at a different dentist, and we had started treatment at a different local pediatric dentist, which was traumatizing to say the least. had been absolutely dreading taking my son back for any more fillings. Luckily I found this place! It was SO EASY AND PAINLESS! Because they have an "abrasion drill" which uses silica powder shot at high speed, the drill never even touches the tooth. Because of that there is no pain. Because of that there is no need for needles, novocaine, lidocaine and other drugs. Because of that there is no pain, no detox, no intense recovery time. They fill the tooth with melatonin AND homeopathic medicine AND THEN seal it with a tooth colored liquid enamel that they harden with a special light. IT was all so fast and easy. My sons teeth look completely natural, no visible sign of fillings, and he is happy and delighted. I AM SO RELIEVED to have entered the reality of pain-free holistic dentistry!!! One thing I will say: we DID use nitric oxide (anti-anxiety gas), which my son needed because of his emotionally traumatic past experiences at other dentists had him feeling extreme fear. The nitric oxide calmed him right down. Getting off nitric is easy, just 5 min of oxygen. EASY PEASY! So if you want nitric oxide, THEY DO HAVE NITRIC OXIDE, and you just have to be firm about it bc they will try to talk you out of it. In our case, it was necessary and worked beautifully to allow my son to have a calm and confident experience. THANK YOU!!!!!!
