Mill Valley Coffee Shop

Again outta town at a hotel in mill valley and looking for a place to enjoy breakfast before 0800 hrs. Interestingly, 3 of the 4 places I looked at weren't open until 0900 hrs or later... really choose the Mill Valley Coffee Shop because they were the only option open early. Easy to find, lot's of parking, nice corner location and friendly, also former Navy locals enjoying breakfast when I arrived. This is a owner/operator business and the food was exceptional. Ordered up eggs, sausage, hashbrowns and sour dough toast, along w/coffee. Everything was fresh, cooked to order and a very clean shop managed/owned by a very friendly lady. If you live in or around Mill Valley, I'm jealous because I'd be found here every morning, early!

I've been here for breakfast several times over many years. I always experience a friendly, homey place with delicious food. On my most recent visit, I had the best Eggs Benedict I've ever tasted! Thank you Mill Valley Coffee Shop staff!

I am 75 y.o. & have traveled on 4 continents. Mill Valley Coffee is my favorite breakfast place on planet Earth. I live in NY but fly to CA regularly, & I never fail to come here every day I can manage. Owner Lorraine's subtle & gently humorous charm as well as flawless customer care, & Chef Philip's astonishingly perfect cooking, have me eating & lingering for more than an hour every time. Their eggs Benedict Florentine (with my idiosyncratic but customary side of their exquisite chorizo) is my favorite dish at this, my favorite place

The workers there are very nice seeing them gives me a smile. The food is greasy but it’s made with love..

All food was excellent.. order from the simple country bf to the bennies, food is delicious. The lady attending the place is lovely and make us to comeback 3 days in a row. Didn't bother to look anywhere else.

My mother-in-law used to own this restaurant. The current owners are just as wonderful and delightful. Food excellent. Highly recommend!

A great diner, classic old-school Mill Valley. Good food, fast service, and such nice people. The owner has been running this place for 35+ years, knows everyone in the neighborhood. Support local business and stop in for breakfast or lunch! Highly recommend the giant blueberry pancakes, biscuits and gravy, or burgers.

A true classic diner. I think the cash register is analog, maybe from 1930s or 40s? Credit cards supported though 😀.

Such a charming little place clearly frequented by locals because the amazing waitress Lindsay knew most of the people I saw come in by name.
Portions we're really huge and fitting to the prices. Chicken fried steak and eggs was delicious and this place seems to feel homey when the lot of the area seems out of touch and pretentious.

They are a delightful couple. We always enjoy our breakfast there.

Just the Best In Marin! Can't beat the Service by these gems as Host & Hostess!! Best Breakfast in the North Bay. Best smiles and good homemade quality food ever. So many years, don't miss out!!

Excellent food. Added chorizo to the Mexican omelette. Loraine really took care of us. Clean, quaint and friendly.

Fabulous breakfast spot on a cool morning. It's cozy with an old time genuine charm. We'll be back again soon while we're here in Mill Valley.

The first time I came OMG yhe breakfast was incredible and this is my 2nd time here and I swear I had a Déjà vu there food is incredible and the owners couldn't be more friendly and hospitable!!!! Must go check this place out when your in town!!!!!

🤲6:30am when everything else was closed I found my way into this magical little portal. As I enjoyed some coffee and a pancake over a conversation with the woman at the register I was at once saddened and grateful. Saddened that humanity and especially the wealthy people in this neighborhood haven’t made the people of this restaurant wealthy enough to live in the neighborhood they work in. So grateful for the wisdom of this woman pouring the coffee. As if she’d seen this scene so many times she knew every mood and move and exactly what it means to be at the helm of a social nexus point such as her Mill Valley Coffee Shop. Left this place in a daze of thoughts about how our world needs to balance our collective way of life. The caste system, classism, monetary system, capitalism and all the greed and separation they generate have got to go... Anyway I thought, among many other things, if I ever hit it big I might go into that coffee shop and set those beautiful people free from having to serve in that way to survive🛸✨🎶

I been there when I used to live in Mill Valley Marin CA and at the time I was their a tons of times! The people there are sooo sweet and it does has a homely feel like your home and yet its not over price on few small cafe are! Now as for parking goes good luck in that! I strongle tell people take a loc bus down town Mill Valley CA. Its more easyer then hunt for parking! I should know my family and friends has a hard time finding ANY parking! Now if you own a HUGE SUV leave it at home! Drive small cars NOT small suv you won't find ANY parking!

Your cup of coffe will never go empty until you say so! Food is great with healthy portions! Service is wonderful and very helpful to wayward travelers!
