Another spectacular view on the Puget Sound. When the mountain is out on a clear day, there’s nothing better. Bundle up and get out there for your daily walk. You wont regret it. There is a playground for the kids, very dog friendly, and people of all ages are out enjoying the park. It is connected with Point Defiance park so you can do both in one afternoon.

We had our first visit to this park this morning. It is an excellent place to go for a walk, jog, bike ride, roller skate, etc. The walking paths were also nice and wide which was nice for walking out dog and being able to pass other dogs without them having to meet unless we wanted to.

This is a great area to visit year- round. I feel great when I get to sit on one of the many benches available and view the water in the surrounding bay area. I am thankful to come here and recharge when I can. Love this!

Good for walking, or having a quiet lunch/picnic. Fully paved and therefore very accessible! Lots of interesting art/statues throughout, and many picnic tables. Restrooms are big and fairly well maintained. Overall this is a great place to spend a few hours and blow off some steam or enjoy the views.

I took a friend here to take a walk before heading back home. It was a sunny but cold and windy day. We spent a good amount of time watching the harbor seals. There was so many of them. So fun to watch them pop their heads up and then get curious about the humans watching them. Great spot for a walk!

Good planning, good people around, nice views to Rainier and some picks of the Olympics.
4 restrooms and they never have toilet paper.

Great views, and places to explore further. Excellent paved path. People using wheels to get around will find no obstacles. Clean restrooms. Plenty of parking in the winter time. Brought my dogs and it was an enjoyable day.

Amazing place for walking, riding a bike (adults and kids), running and any outside activity you enjoy. All green areas are in excellent shape. There are 4 restrooms that are pretty decent. It is also a great area for little kids to practice riding their bike since there are no steep hills.

Paved walking trails with a beautiful view of the puget sound. There are many seats for people that need to take a break and relax. The area is fairly flat that is welcoming to people and pets with all walking abilities. There is also public bathroom facilities on either side of the gazebo.

This park is at the tip end of the Ruston waterfront and it’s shared with the Yacht Club. There is a ton of space for people to ride or play around in the park. There is plenty of space for parking spots. Plenty of trails to walk around and it’s connected to Point Defiance Zoo. There is a huge stone Pyramid and each step is roughly 2-3 feet high. The view of the Puget Sound is beautiful and being on top of the hill is the best spot.

Great location next to Point Ruston and a wonderful addition to Point Defiance Park. Make sure to check out the pedestrian bridge to the main park. The kids will also enjoy the Stairs and Slides next Wilson Way Bridge!

Great public space to get steps in with the dog and take in the views. Spotted pinnipeds from the trail. Sculptures, interpretive panels, and restrooms. Free parking.

Wonderful place to take the family, couples walk, walk the dogs, ride your bike, or just individual sitting watching the seals/whales. This place has the longest set of slides I have ever seen. We did see seals, no whales maybe next time. You can just sit watching the boats or have a picnic lunch. Bathrooms were available & clean. No matter what the age you can enjoy. Wheel chair accessible.

This park is only a couple of years old and look at the reviews! It's really a can't-miss stop on a trip to Tacoma. And if you've lived in Tacoma your whole life and haven't made it down yet GO. There are views of Commencement Bay, Mt Rainier, and even whales!

Love this spot to walk, climb and picnic! Beautiful vistas of Commencement Bay and surrounding shorelines. If you’re lucky. You can even spot whales and seals…

Great park! Very scenic loved it! Perfect day, cloudy w/ only hints of sun, keeping it cool enough while very humid. Pretty crazy that point defiance and schuster pkwy are now connected.
