Central Co-op

Central Co-op has a lovely salad/taco bar available every week day for lunch. Quick, healthy, freshly made and I never have to wait in line. It's an excellent lunch choice for the Point Defiance area.

I love coming to Central Co-op! Been having a hard time finding top quality produce and Central does not disappoint. They have a great alcohol selection. It's a little pricey but well worth the quality.

A little pricey, but 1 in 3 women will get cancer 1 in 2 men will also. So organic is expensive but so is cancer. Say no to Bill Gates GMO in your body. The sugar I buy here doesn't get me fat like the normal one does.

Tacoma’s best locally owned supermarket. Open to the public, all organic produce, healthy, sustainable, fair trade products, local products. Friendly staff, pristine environment, lovely shopping experience.

Had never been in here before. I got excited at all the specialty mushroom items they had to offer. Lots of organic, lots of health and wellness products. Loved the fresh soaps and essential oils. Lots of amazing products. Highly recommend checking it out.

Love this spot! They have a little bit of everything and always have fresh and local options. Their coop brand tinctures (the valerian and melatonin sleep one is great) are awesome and I love supporting this place!

Great variety, lots of local companies on the shelves, prices are good, and friendly staff! They even have local dairy in GLASS bottles and the sandwiches are really good (they fly off the shelf for a reason). There's recycling in the parking lot too. Stop by, its a fantastic place to shop!

Really nice staff in there. Love coming here. So on my way to work today and was looking for hair ties for my hair and need one for work. I asked one of the lady's up front and asked if they have any they said only a certain one. But I could wear that one. And she gave me hers that was really nice. Saved me this shift because I work with food and bartend tonight. Thank you again.

This new location on Pearl (formerly on 6th Ave) is amazing! It's beautiful inside! Everything in the store is wonderful, including meats, produce and hot food. If you haven't been to the new store- GET THERE! 😁

This place is amazing. They have a selection like no one else in town. I love their gluten free donuts, and that they're right on Pearl. Thank you guys, you're killing it.

Love this place. Locally sourced, ethically farmed/raised, environmentally friendly: all the virtues and values that are good for your body, the health of the environment, and the local economy. Eggs with the farmers name hand written on the carton! Bison steaks from eastern WA! Whiskey from a distillery a mile away! Veggies from small local farmers raised without pesticides. Good selection, friendly staff. And lots of bulk options to reduce your plastic/packaging waste. Your soul will thank you for shopping here. Only significant downside: it’s expensive.

I've been waiting for this store to be open, and was happy to see that it finally was, just in time for my garden party! It's rare in Tacoma to find a place that will allow you to bring in your own jars to fill, so I stocked up on spices. Good selection, helpful cashier, with good information on some vegan products I was buying for a guest. Nice selection of produce, great bulk spices section. My handcart of groceries didn't break the bank. I'll be back again!
