This place is a hidden gem! They have all kinds of products from the Middle East, Turkey, and predominately Muslim, Arab nations. They also have a smaller selection of products from Eastern Europe such as Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Serbia, and Croatia. Staff in there are welcoming and you feel like you are in a bustling bazaar in the far east. Great selection of meat at the butcher and very fresh organic produce from local growers. Definitely recommend you stop by if in the neighborhood.

Amazing place for Persian groceries, fresh produce and meat. Reasonably priced and everything is available. Most importantly the service is impeccable, I was on my way to return it and one of the employees (could be the owner) just took the cart from me and put it back. Rare to see this level of care these days. Highly recommend this store.

Amazing experience. Found all of the staples and treats I've been missing from home. There is an authentic stone tandoor for baking fresh sangak right before your eyes. It is such a nice experience being handed a steaming, fresh loaf of bread

A great place to find spices, dried fruits, nuts and authentic Arabic cuisine. Our friend took us here and it blew my mind! The variety is incredible and prices are fair. If I lived in San Diego, this would be one of my regular go-to place for grocery shopping😊

I love this place! Everyone is so nice and you can find all types of delicious cookies, teas and they always have fresh and clean produce and most of time you’ll find fruits and veggies you cannot find at other grocery stores.

This store is packed with international food. They have fresh bread and they start baking around 9am. You would want to check out their huge oven with a stone circle. I would highly recommend a visit here. They also have a variety of cheese and sweets from the middle east.

Balaboa International Market is a great place for grocery shopping for those who enjoy diversity in our great country, from fresh Produce to bread, pasteries, and groceries from different parts of the world. I need to mention they are partnered with Sofi Restuarnt next door that provides you with the best mediternean and persion cusine, and can be a fun place for hosting big parties, and concerts! Check out this unique place, and I promise you won't be disappointed!

Wow, this place is great! Middle Eastern bakery on site with fresh breads; Deli counter has all sorts of meats and cheeses (8 varieties of feta!); High quality produce at reasonable prices; and I even found some real halvah to satisfy my elderly mother's cravings.

Wide variety of Mediterranean grocery🛒 items with meat items. You can get marinated drumsticks 🍗, shish kebab and gyros. Fresh produces 🍆🍓🍒🥑🍌🍎🍊, fruits and dairy items. If you are looking for dried fruits🥜🌰, nuts and Mediterranean breads🥐🥖🍞, this could be the best place to look for. Very friendly staffs and soothing background music (arabic, I guess🤔). Prices are affordable. I love to shop at Balboa International Market and hope you will like it too.

Incredible Middle Eastern supermarket. Wow, you can find authentic Turkish Delight made of rose that I thought I could only find in Turkey... was I happy. This place sells amazing variety of dried herbs and spices at affordable prices, way cheaper than any other markets. Homemade pita. Ready made take away food restaurant quality! Cheap fresh fruits. Really awesome place to shop and have dinner for take away.

OMG - the fresh veg, fruit, and bread!! YUM! Cheese counter is amazing!! (We don’t eat meat, so can’t speak to that.) But we are able to find all our Persian food staples here and we love it.

I consistently shop for groceries at Balboa International Market, where they offer a diverse selection of halal meats at competitive prices. Particularly noteworthy is the delightful Afghani fresh bread, and their vegetables are consistently fresh.

Balboa market is such a secret weapon in your shopping game. They closed the hot deli to make room for extended groceries. Even their eat in section of tables is converted into more groceries. Now you have to order your kubideh and albaloo pollow through Sufi restaurant directly next door. I gotta admit that their service deli with indoor/outdoor seating was one of my all time favorite places to eat with my closest friends. One could Pick out groceries while your order was being made fresh. Hopefully it goes back to the way it was before cocid when this pandemic is over. For now it makes total sense.
Also the turkish delights counter is only partially turkish delights and is now flaunting their amazing baklavas!

Great experience, found exactly which Basmati Rice I wanted. Also Turkish Delights are amazing and are all imported from Turkey!
