Video Only Mountain View

The video store had an amazing setup for comparing sizes, brands and technologies which helped me narrow down to the exact TV I wanted.

I liked how they have comparable models lined up next to each other, so you know what you're paying extra for.

The sales professional, Fred was very helpful and patient in letting me go through all the options and was quite knowledgeable about the options present as well. I would definitely recommend this place

Video only is a store that specializes (you guessed it) in video related stuff. It’s 2023 so basically TV’s my dude.

Anyway the only mountain view is located right next to costco and their prices are usually $50-$150 cheaper than Costco. The obvious difference is Costco’s warranty, so if you don’t want the 3 year warranty then Video Only store is for you!

Always ask for help here as their display prices might not be reflected properly as they fluctuate.

The sales associates are fantastic people and easy to talk with so definitely check them out!

Doug Pauley...is the man. Super knowledgeable and friendly. Came in needing a new 83in TV. Doug explained all the various brands and the Pros/Cons between Samsung, LG, Sony. Offered up some amazing prices and warranties as well. Ended up getting the LG 83in QLED TV + Sound Bar, etc. Used to go to Best Buy but, definitely coming here in the future for all my TV needs for sure. Pretty legit place. Thank you.

We did some internet shopping for a new TV with Best Buy, Costco and Video only. The prices at Video Only seemed very competitive so we took the drive to the Mountain View store. We were met by the store manager. Doug. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and very patiently guided us through the the different TV choices. We got an excellent price on the TV we selected. The icing on the cake was the ability to turn in the old TV. Highly recommended.

Great service from Mike (I think) via the phone. Helped explain the different models and pros and cons. Paid for delivery and installation (by Jeff.). Was done quickly and professionally. Their price was a few hundred less then Best Buy too. Glad I bought my new TV here. Way better experience than going to a big box place or just ordering it online. They know what they are doing. If you are looking for a new TV make sure you check with them or ‘you’ll be sorry’.

They are very helpful here. We did not feel like they were trying to upset us anything. We gave them what featyres we cared about, and they pointed us to the area of the store where we could find TVs with those feaures.

The store is set up with several brands and features together, so it's easy to compare sets.

I was skeptical about this place because my dad only ever heard about it on the radio. But the prices online were fantastic compared to what I saw at other competitors like Best Buy and Walmart so I wanted to give it a shot. I talked to Reggie after I got there and he couldn't have been more helpful in answering my questions about the TVs and the services they offer. He was very knowledgeable and patient while we made our decision and he made the checkout process very easy too. I'm very glad I tried out this store and I'd easily recommend it as the first place anyone should check out when they want to get a new TV.

Did my research on the TV is wanted. An LG OLED. Manager Doug set me up with what I wanted $500 below COSTOCO and Best buys sale price. AND threw is a wall mount for free. If you buy anywhere else you are blowing your money. Thank you Doug.

Hands down the best TV Buying experience I've ever had! Anthony the store manager spent a ton of time educating my dad and I on the latest TV technologies. He gave us personal white glove service and unlike department stores, they are able to negotiate and give many discounts. They gave us a free HDMI Cable for example. They are also very competitive with Best Buy, Costco, walmart, and Amazon and were willing to beat any of their prices. This is the third TV I've bought from video only and now I refuse to buy a TV any other way.

Even before moving to the South BayI in 2007, I've heard there commercials on the radio for a long time, but I've never been to the store. Since I wanted to replace my 14 year old plasma (still worked fine, but it would generate so much heat) I started researching OLEDs and decided on the
LG C1 65". The lowest price was the same at Costco (added a warranty)and Best Buy, but read some reviews about Video Only and their great prices. So, I called and talked to Reggie - he was great - I never felt pressured as he talked to me about the TV and showed me Dolby Atmos sound bars (which I didn't buy, but I'll be back) and I'm glad I did. Even with an added warranty, I was able to save several hundred.

I had an excellent experience at Video Only (in Mountain View) with Reggie. I needed a new receiver. Reggie showed me three options and recommended one. I took his recommendation. It appears to handle all my audio needs (TV, phono, cd, tape, and DVD player) yet it cost less than the one that I purchased 9 years that recently quit. Reggie even checked the specs for my 9-year-old receiver to ensure that the new one would fulfill all my audio needs. I appreciated that extra effort.

My current TV was a 12-year-old plasma that still worked but was nearing the end of its life span. I had in mind a TV that I would consider purchasing – one that four video experts had recommended as the best. But I wanted to see what Reggie recommended so I asked, and he took me to that exact TV. The price he offered was a good one, so I bought that television.

The entire experience was brief but productive. I was in and out in a relatively short time and I value my time. Reggie was very professional.

I learned that Video Only does not have their own installation, unfortunately. They offer an independent contractor to install, or Reggie can install. I wanted the new TV mounted on the wall to protect it when the next big earthquake hits. The cost was $540 to install the wall-mounted TV, program the receiver to operate all the audio equipment, and take away the old TV. Whether purchasers should consider hiring someone else to install, I have no wisdom to offer, but it is worth consideration.

One thing worth noting, it that Video Only has a huge showroom and it is filled only with video equipment, such as TVs, receivers, and soundbars. So they offer a huge selection of products that general electronic stores might not be able to match.

Very good experience. I'm never enthused to go shopping for TV equipment, but I can't say enough good things about Michael and my time in this store. He was very knowledgeable and helpful, and he made this a hassle-free experience. The prices were very reasonable and I will definitely make this my go-to place for TVs, soundbars, etc.

I worked with Donnell and have made other purchases from Video Only but came here to say their customer service and prices are incredible. With every purchase, they have always been knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful.

I purchased a sound bar in November and the manufacturer didn't have an expected delivery date for Christmas when I checked back in two weeks later so Donnell upgraded me to the next model for free so that I'd have the gift for Christmas.

After visiting video only to purchase a TV I was looking for I will never go to another store as long as I have a video only near me to purchase tvs from. They gave me a really good deal on a very hard to find TV. It was the LG nano cell 85 series 49". I grew up in the Bay area and always heard the commercials on the radio stating, "....just be sure you visit video only if you don't you'll be sorry." After purchasing my 1st TV from there the ads are absolutely right. If you're gonna go to other stores to purchase a TV then go ahead but you have to check out Video Only at least once to see if they can get you what you need because when it came down to crunch time, they got me what I needed at a great price.

I had purchased from Video Only years ago from the Hayward store when there was one. I was looking again at Costco since Costco was having a sale. I thought I would go try Video Only since I really like to shop for the best deal. I was amazed Video Only not only beat Costco prices but when I went back to buy from Video Only said they had found it cheaper for me so they were going to beat that price! They did and through in a sound Bar!
Just give them a chance I tell all my friends now it will be worth it.

I LOVE this place! We got a new Samsung TV a few months ago (after browsing different store prices) and saved so much money! We told them what we were looking for and we were in and out in 15 minutes! We were SO happy, we went back this last weekend for another Samsung TV for a different room (replacing them all) and again, told them what we were looking for. We got another amazing price and were out in 10 minutes! Totally recommend this place!

Customer service is absolutely unbeatable.

We had the worst-case experience of having our new soundbar die within 10 minutes of installation (we had it and our new TV installed by VO's installer), and, very shortly after, much more devastatingly, the TV died.

We can only speculate that the soundbar failing caused the TV damage; we know of one other person who had the exact same soundbar die (but it didn't take out their TV!), but we really don't know.

Video Only made it right.

They sent the installer back out with a replacement TV. The installer even tested the outlet that the surge protector was plugged into, and it was fine. We had to bring the soundbar back to swap out on out own, which they made perfectly easy.

If we had bought through some big box store, we would have had to deal with the warranty, replacement, probably shipping, all of it, on our own.

Our worst case scenario, which would otherwise have been an absolute nightmare, was handled spectacularly. I am so incredibly glad that we went with Video Only!

As if that wasn't enough, their price really was the best we could find. The installation pushed it up to equally expensive as a big box store, but that's only because we live so far out of town. If you're actually in the Bay Area, installation will be inexpensive and the total price will probably be way better than other stores.

We will definitely do business here again, and will be recommending them.

I would have to add more stars than the five I am allowed. Two people at Video Only really sealed the deal. First, I talked to Michael on the phone. Coming across on the phone as a knowledgeable and friendly person is a rare skill. His abilities got me to drive 65 miles round-trip to come to the store.

When I got there, Michael was not working that day. I get the manager, Doug. I hope corporate knows the company has a star for a manager. His knowledge, personality and friendliness are what I hope to experience when I shop. It is rare to find solid service these days. Michael and Doug exemplify the best of service.

BTW: The price was the best I could find online or at retail within a 60 mile radius. I must have searched for more than 25 hours to be sure I bought the right product from the right team.

Really refreshing to having salesperson that has great knowledge and understanding of the TV's. Big thanks to Fred for his guidance and professional help in picking out the perfect TV for my application. Almost forgot they truly do have the best prices in the Bay Area.

The store is right across the street from Best Buy and so went to check it out. It was one of the best decision's in regards to TV purchasing.

We were greeted by Anthony, the store manager. We walked in right before closing. He was polite, helpful and deeply knowledgeable about TV's, manufacturers, models, display types, and best value for the dollar. He spent a good deal of time with us explaining the differences but was not pushy. There pricing is the best over anything out there, and saved significant amount money from buying from Video Only.

Do yourself a favor go to Video Only and see Anthony. Definitely will buying all my TV's in the future from Video Only.
