The food here was better than expected as I had a great date with my significant other! I highly recommend it if you’re walking around the pier! Great service, the food was great and the atmosphere was great too!

Great bakery. Clam chowder is amazing. Croissants are great. Everything looka and tastes incredible. The clam chowder is a must if you visit San Francisco.

Upstairs: sit-down restaurant & small museum with a window to see the bakery downstairs.
First floor: Quick counter service restaurant, bakery to pick-up fresh baked bread and a marketplace to buy cooking kitchen wares, hot sauce, cheese, jam, wine, snacks and more! There's also a Peets coffee counter for specialty drinks. Multiple outdoor seating areas as well as small indoor seatings.
Fun place to take kids as they can watch bread begin kneaded and made into shapes like crab, bears, alligator and other surprises. Fun little museum and clear windows to see how fresh sourdough is being baked. Must see if you are in Fisherman's Wharf area.

Best bread! We enjoyed lunch at Boudin's on our first day and breakfast on our second day.

Lunch was great, we each enjoyed a soup and half sandwich combo. Make sure you get something with/on sourdough!

For breakfast we really enjoyed the chocolate sourdough. Probably not the healthiest option, but extremely tasty!

Love to see they are taking COVID seriously and ensuring everyone has masks on and are vaccinated to dine indoors.

Honestly have no complaints. When I go in the morning it's pretty quiet nice atmosphere. And the food that I ordered which is the breakfast burrito is really yummy. 5 out of five for me

This is a must visit in San Francisco. The sourdough bread is awesome.
I ate the tomato soup in sourdough bread - it is an interesting dish where you eat the soup bowl when finished with the soup :-) highly recommended if you’re in San Francisco

The clam chowder bread bowl here is classic and delicious! Also don’t miss out on the fabulous selection of breads they sell! Do yourself a favorite and take a loaf home for later! My favorite is the chocolate chip & raisin loaf, yum! The chocolate sourdough loaf shown in this picture however was disappointing. Will not be getting again. Too bitter to my liking.

It's soup...In a bowl you can eat! What's not to like? Clam chowder, maybe, but that's why they have other options!

Stopped here after taking the ferry across before a Goants game to get some food. The prices were great and the food was amazing. My boyfriend got the sourdough pizza and I got the clam chowder in a bread bowl. After lunch we couldn't help but buy some fresh bread to snack on during the baseball game. The staff was friendly and very happy to help us in any way they could. I will definitely be returning in the future!

I am now addicted to bread bowls and I'm not sad about it.

$9 sandwiches? I didn't know if that price at the time was worth it, but I did indeed enjoy it! Also went here with my friends a few times and it's definitely a San Francisco classic. Who doesn't love bread and chowder bowls! Everyone should come here!
