Really convenient to go here - I live very close-by and they keep security at night to help late night shoppers. Tonight, I was rushing to buy groceries after 3 days of eating out - shoutout to Patrick and another cashier who ringed me in (I forgot his name) helped me bag the groceries in speed time and kept the store open few minutes more since I had to run back to grab my card.

Amazing employees there... and they keep security so that at least inside the store its safe.

5 stars for the Audacity of your new employee asking me if I wanted my 4.5” sandwich cut in half. He looked me in my eyes with conviction and said “you want this cut in half!” How do you cut air in half? I almost jumped the counter and threw the crumb snack with mustard y’all call a sandwich. It wasn’t even made right but I grew into a deep state of sandwich depression and gave up. The bread size and portions are getting ridiculously small. But the price went up! 5 stars on ambition. The pickles were crunchy and fresh.

These 5 stars are for Koosha, the cashier who attended me today. While the other two Asian cashier & manager(?) are stressed out yelling at people as if we are cows, and making themselves quite unavailable even for the elders who come here, this cashier is efficient, keeps the line moving, and acknowledge those who come in or those next in line. I avoid coming here due to the very poor consistent customer service, even if the location is very convenient to me. It was nice to see an actual decent human being treating you as a valued customer

Always enjoy shopping here. Good vibes, friendly clerks. Love their wine collection.

Even though it's a small neighborhood store located in the base of a residential tower it's clean, well stocked and the employees are professional and friendly. Has a great deli if you're looking for a place to grab some snacks for the day or to grab some lunch to go. While checking out on one of the self-checkout stands an employee came over with the weekly ad to make sure that I had noticed the yogurts I was purchasing were on special and that I received the discount!

The staff are friendly and the supermarket have almost everything you need. It’s also 10 mins from San Francisco beach side.Bingo

Friendly place and great food on the go especially the hot dogs and deserts. Oh, so good!

LOVE this Safeway they have great customer service, clean store, and staff is always friendly. I also find that there fruit and veggies to be fresher then other Safeway locations. Not to mention their Deli department where the hot and cold food is located is always fresh and neat when ever I visit, witch is a HUGE PLUS!!!!

If you work at the Embarcadero Center it is a perfect place to grub a lunch: salads, sushi, hot soup, deli sandwiches or a fresh fruit. Self-checkout registers will help you to get out of there faster. It is not very big Safeway, but while it is not very spacious store, it has everything as any other grocery store would.

The organization of the store relaxes as I roll through the aisles, admiring the colors of boxes like Brillo and Tide as if I was Andy Warhol. Supermarkets were places where I hid during Covid instead of being quarantined at home. During these inflationary times,their Signature brand products are excellent in quality and reasonable in price ; the staff is friendly , but extensive security makes the store look like DMZ; the supersized shopping carts must be made diminutive to make us all smaller and shapely

As out of towners, we were grateful to find this well stocked, clean and busy store in an urban setting. Safeway is our regular store at home so this was a great experience for us.

The only issue here is the sushi ppl don't like taking requests!! Maybe get a job your more comfortable with!! You clearly are making everything spicy!! Not everyone is the same and can handle the spice!! Maybe make half with spicy mayo and half without!!!

Good all round grocery store where you can get most things! The check out staff were excellent and professional!

Walked in the first time was not impressed, but due to necessity I had to go back. Each time I go back I feel more comfortable in the store. It is a small store with limited selection so don't expect to find everything. It is likened to a corner store. Because of the size of the store your first impressions may not be good but when you get used the size it is very easy store to shop. In subsequent visits I have engaged personnel and found them friendly and helpful. I now look forward to my visits.

Down side like all over our city...alot of thieves walking out the door. Feel for those who work there. I still support it to keep it open and hard working people employed.

I walked over from 101 California Street. Quick and easy walk. Purchased a great salad for lunch. I will go again today.

It was VERY quiet there, there was no drama at all period there either, and the employees there were so polite and respectful too, and the customers there also as well!

Place is great! I like the gentleman at the checkstands atittide. Every sinhle tahhm I've been there and he was also he was way too chipper bout everything and that was contagious and its real. The happiness. The chicken strips are always hellah pricey here I think I shall compareand share next time but other than the spoken deelish

The Bay Street Safeway closed. This Safeway is now closest to cruise Pier 27, to buy wine to take on Princess cruise ships.
