Incredibly designed, safe walking trail. As with any woodland experience be cautious of potential wildlife encounters.

The Barnes memorial nature center is a wonderful spot for parties learning about nature. There are walking trails and engaging exhibits for kids. This weekend. They had a apple cider making event happening. Lots of local events and community outreach. Make this place worth a visit.

I need to give a huge shout out to Fern at Barns nature center. I was calling around yesterday about a birthday for TODAY last minute! Due to rain and cold weather 🙃 After I had originally paid for a pavilion at a park. Scrambling to find a place in such short notice, we were so blessed for this place! So grateful they figured out a way to accommodate us on such short notice. After hearing we lost money on the park, Fern gave us a discount WOW!
We can’t thank you enough for an awesome birthday PAWTY 🥳

I grew up down the street from here and spent most of my days roaming around the nature center and its trails. I was happy to be able to visit and see the changes that have been made. They are also trying to build a 1 mile fully accessible nature trail which I'm happily donating!

World class. A breath of fresh air and a relief enjoyed during a busy work day.

Our only complaint is that it doesn’t have bike racks. We’d like to discuss that as we do have recommendations.

Great for children of all ages. Lots of hands on fun. Live and stuffed animals to view. Clean.
There are nature trails (was not able to explore, weather permitting).
Parking lot, wheelchair accessible, no changing table in restrooms.
Free.

Unique little learning center, animal sanctuary and bird lookout. Animals include owls, lizards, amphibians, reptiles, and insects. Much learning info and activities. Trails in back are dog on leash friendly and will lead you to sessions woods in Burlington. Should you need a long days activity with the kids. 13 year old Luke is an excellent volunteer greeter/host, very knowledgeable and well spoken. An asset to the center. Yearly family memberships are more than reasonable.

Very brief 2.5 mile run with my daughter this afternoon. Great trails that were well maintained, they even allowed a bathroom break without charging admission. Barnes nature center is a great learning center and gives kids hands on experience with nature. I believe there are summer activities signups in the spring and beginning of summer.

Special program, " Fun wWith Frogs ". Very informative and interesting, were allowed to touch most of them . Staff and volunteers were very friendly and eager to share their love for these animals.
Self-guided nature trails are well blazed and graded to match skill level and time restraints.

Great place for families to experience nature inside and outside. Live animals, walking trails, gift shop. Hands on activities for kids to explore natural things. See a bear, mountain lion, birds and many other mounts up close. Observe the many flying visitors at the bird watching window and more!

Incredible nature walks. Had a blast with the kids. Enjoyed Gods creation. They have easy trails and some that are a bit harder.
