Applebee's Grill + Bar

Had a really great lunch here a couple days ago! Seated quickly and had a friendly chat with the hostess and the waitress. It took awhile to order because so much of the menu sounded yummy. I had the Bourbon chicken and shrimp with garlic mashed potatoes. It was heavenly. It was sizzling hot. The chicken was cooked perfectly as was the shrimp. The char on both was excellent. I was surprised at the sophistication of the dish. I didn't know about the breadsticks here; they are so tasty and toasty. And the energy here was just comforting. Can't wait to go back!

Vennesa at the bar is very friendly and has a great personality. No mater how busy or slow she makes time to smile. Last time there dinner at the bar was a great experience. Food was good and much better than Chili's. Looking forward to returning.

There is 5 star service for the BAR ONLY. In the past few years we have "fired" the restaurant for lack of customer service (only seeing the waitress when they take your order and give you the check and NEVER in between) and for constantly getting simple orders wrong, sometimes never even getting the dinner salad that was ordered. Every few months we would go back and try again. On a particularly busy Friday night, we decided to eat at the bar. Not only have we never had an issue with our order, the service with Vanessa has always been spectacular. We have sat at tables twice since, due to the bar not having room, and we always regretted it, with absolute lack of customer service or the completely wrong order. This isn't surprising as the manager is always seen just standing at the bar talking to one group of people, which seem like friends based on how they talk, from when we arrive to the time we leave over an hour later every single time we see him in the restaurant. He seems to do absolutely nothing, which shows with the way the rest of the restaurant runs.

This was my first time at this Applebee's in Torrington wonderful experience. I got a little bite to eat late at night. I will definitely go back again my food was hot did not have to wait long and the waitress was very nice and professional I did not have to ask for extra napkins

The drinks were a little watered down not much booze. The food was really good but again not great. It was a good quick meal the staff was very attentive and polite. We go here often, I enjoy the ribs.

Our appetizer was a great way to start our lunch. Our server was very friendly. We made it easy on her because we ordered the same meal. She wasn't even flustered when I let her know that I had a code for a free dessert. And because of my gluten allergy, I asked to have the dessert split so my friend could eat the cake and I could have the ice cream. We'd never been to this particular restaurant but would revisit any time.

Jalissa was a very pleasant Server. I had a great meal out with my Mom. Thanks for the great experience.

Always excellent, great specials and drink specials. Awesome staff.

Edit since last post. This restaurant has done full circle with service. Food is typical and better . Have been back several times since last review and much better.

Our waitress was really nice and easy going. Food came out quick and was cooked perfect it's not every day you get to make a post like this. Service in the restaurant industry has been tough these last 2 years. But our experience was great this time.

Their great from the music to the food. Made it a terdission to go at least once a month if i can otherwise every payday ill go. Their all so cheerful and friendly and the foods spot on.

As a couple we went in for a late night dinner and we were welcomed immediately and sitting with drinks within a minute. The staff and food was on time and perfect.

Went for dinner with my daughter, our servers name was Ken. He was one of the friendliest people I've met. He was so kind to my daughter, he even paid for her extra side of fries. I asked for a cup to take the rest of her drink, he gave us a fresh soda to go! Food was great. I had the Four Cheese Mac and Cheese with Honey Pepper Chicken Tenders, my daughter had the kids Grilled Chicken Alfredo with a side of broccoli and fries. Overall great time out with my daughter!

The service was excellent. The restaurant was very clean. Would be nice if they offered a few lower calorie meals on the menu.

Never been to an Applebees and never particularly planned on it. But me and a few friends went tonight for a casual dinner and were absolutely amazed by how friendly, welcoming, and kind Ken was. The hostess was also very cordial and genuine. These people put so much hard work into making guests feel welcome.

The food was amazing. it was a great place for a good night out with my boyfriend and his family. The waiter was great. She was funny and silly like every waiter should be. We went pretty late as well maybe about 8 or 9 and left at 10. It's such a beautiful place with great drinks. After one drink mom was pretty tipsy. 😜

Jamie the bar tender was great and personable, I watched her interact with all the customers in a friendly manner. I've been here many times and always good.

Food was great. My waitress was vary sweet n had a wonderful atmosphere around here. Its always a good time here
