Cozy Café Johnston

I ended up stopping by twice on this trip. The staff is smart and responsive. The food is cooked to order correctly and was great tasting. The look and feel is of an aging cafe with a homey feeling. I recommend it for breakfast all day.

I am a big breakfast fan and this is one of the best!!! Been here a few times traveling through and it never disappoints. The food is homemade goodness and the people are friendly and deliver the expected Midwest and hometown customer service. A small stage in the back features some of the best local entertainment on the weekends which makes Cozy Cafe an excellent family restaurant.

One of the coziest Saturday mornings I've had in a while with the atmosphere here, and a select few of the staff can be pretty outgoing with their friendliness. Their house special "Cozy Mess" can be a real hit if tasty hodgepodges of breakfast ingredients strike you fancy!

As the name implies, it's cozy. We were greeted warmly. Our waitress was very personable. The Cozy breakfast was delicious. My husband had the Cozy Mess and he loved it. We may have a new place to have breakfast.

Simply one of the most amazing dining experiences I have ever had! Fast friendly service and mouth watering food coupled with an atmosphere anyone could love makes this place AMAZING. Wish there was more than 5 stars because they deserve 100!!!

Love the art deco look, great, homemade onion rings, very busy. Very good staff and ambience. O yes the cinnamon Rolls- Yum!

What a great place!! We where looking for a place to meet family in the area. Super friendly and efficient staff. Food was delivered fast and was tasty!!

What a great place! We came late afternoon on a Saturday. I wasn't feeling well and wanted some comfort food and I wasn't disappointed. The service was amazing. No wait for a table. I love the colors they chose for décor! And the paintings on the wall are beautiful. Order the cornbread with sweet butter as an appetizer, you won't be disappointed. One of the better tenderloins around. The chicken and noodles was an interesting take on chicken and noodles. The base was more of a bechamel sauce than a thickened gravy and the chicken was in chunks, not shredded. It was served over homemade mashed potatoes. Personally, I wasn't feeling well, so the dairy in the chicken and noodles didn't sit well. If I was feeling better, I'm sure it would have been amazing. Highly recommend!

We stopped in on a Thurs. afternoon and were the only customers at 3:15 pm. We were promptly seated and were very well taken care of. I had a specially-made, no-meat Cozy Mess and my husband had an omelet. We also shared a pumpkin pancake that was to die for. All the food was delicious!!!

I only gave this restaurant 3 stars for atmosphere because it was freezing inside the place, and it was a grey and rainy day and the outside looked forgotten and neglected. We almost didn't stop because it didn't look inviting at all. BUT the FOOD and SERVICE were great!!!

What a great way to start the New Year! First time being here. Jamie did a great job as our server! Food Amazing very good hot beef! Will be back!

All I can say is Wowsers! This place is hands down fantastic! The food was so fresh and delicious,hot and we didn't even wait long! We live in Boone but we'll be back!!!!

The menu said fried potatoe squares an it was tator tots. Not browned an still cold. Not a fan, but rest was good

Great little Diner bringing back small-town atmosphere! All the staff was amazing even though we came in 1/2 before they closed not knowing. They were positive and upbeat!

The food was great and so was the service. Friendly and the owner took the time to talk to his customers. Would stop there again on our way back home. I even got a free cinnamon roll because I was a Denver Broncos fan. He had on a Denver Broncos shirt and was from Denver.

Everything that can be expected from breakfast. Their menu is big and have pretty much everything from pancakes and eggs to fired chicken and biscuits. Great food + great service with amazing prices

My favorite Cafe! It has wonderful food, great prices and selections, and wonderful staff! Biscuits and gravy are the best!

i had the best service ever here she was a little blonde girl named abby i have never met such a kind down to earth girl she is a hard worker & i was having a horrible day when i came here & she immediately lit my day thank you ❤

Busy on Sunday morning, but service and food was quick and tasty!

This place is amazing gradients for a great service. It must’ve all great food in big quantities. If that’s not your thing, they have a very healthy menu with lots of options. It is a great location for me to dine in or carry out I haven’t had any recommend this restaurant to anyone!
