I just had the best experience at this Kwik star! I was helped by Kevin at the registers and he was the most pleasant person. Definitely made my day and put a smile on my face. His banana bucket hat was also amazing! 😂 If you stop at this location, I hope you get a chance to say hello to Kevin!

Your overnight crew at this store is solid. I come here every night at 3 am on my break and every single person that works here is always friendly and on top of their game. When I'm not working I go to the Kwik Star in Waukee and it's a night and day difference, because I dread going there. I wish Waukee wasn't so far because I'd almost drive out of the way to get the service I get here.

I’ve spent a total of 10 minutes here but I wanna talk about Denise, I just started a new job across the street and stopped here on the way home from work for a quick lunch for the next day because I was Burnt out. I had a stressful day and she could tell right off the bat. I grabbed a salad without any dressing because I had no idea it didn’t come with. She went out of her way to go and grab some for me. That’s not the only kind thing she did for me during this transaction, she went above and beyond. If there is a kindness award I nominate her. Thank you Denise for changing my whole day around. I won’t forget it.

Pulled into the parking with a flat tire on 10/8 around 7:00 pm on a Saturday evening. Myself being under prepared had no tire repair kit, no spare tire and all tire service stores were closed for the night. Sydney Ostring who works at this location was the sweetest and kindest person we encountered that evening. She offered to run to a nearby store to purchase a tire repair kit for us. Had it not been for her, we would have likely been stuck over night. We repaired the tire and went inside to grab some food before attempting to make the 2 hour journey home. Everyone who was working that night asked about the tire, gave their opinion and made sure we were okay before leaving. That is beyond customer service and each and every person is much appreciated for their assistance. We grabbed some chicken sandwiches for the road which were delicious, if I could offer 10 stars I would. Thank you!

Everyone is kind, I’d never say kinder than a chicken-based franchise. There is an older man who always makes sure to make everyone feel seen. I'm astonished at how many people he can remember. He is always kind and caring. Like a grandpa away from home. If you're having a bad day stop by this place.

I just stopped for my Monday morning latte. What a pleasant thing to be greeted by your store employee. Grace is a superstar. Employees like her will make your company thrive.

I enjoy going to Kwik Star as their fuel prices are competitive and sometimes lower then the competition. Their food selection is awesome lot's of variety. I do wish their rewards program was a little different. There is a 15 minute wait time to count each visit to the store so if you purchase fuel then go inside and buy food that doesn't count as a visit. Wished it were a per transaction/points system. Otherwise I'm a very satisfied customer. I travel a lot with work and will try and find a Kwik Star whenever I can.

I truly wish that there was a Kwik Star on the south side of Des Moines. I always stop by a Kwik Star when I pass by one, even if I don't need gasoline. I don't drink coffee so I can't comment on it, but I love the pastries and meals! I buy one of the meals for our dinner that evening and two pastries for dessert and another one for my treat on the way home.🤗

It is my daughter’s birthday tomorrow and the older gentleman working tonight made her feel so special singing to her on the intercom outside! This guy is the reason we will continue to come back time and time again!!

Best convenient store doughnuts in Iowa! For years, when making routine treks from the Des Moines area to Eastern Iowa, we stopped at Kwik Star on Iowa Highway 21 just south of Interstate 80 to get a coffee and doughnut. This store is about half-way to our destination. Over time, our car seemed to know we would be making the stop and the car, without hesitation, would start to slow as we approached the exit ramp. Suddenly, we would find ourselves standing in front of the doughnut case at Kwik Star. How did that happen? Stranger than fiction! Anyway, we were excited when Kwik Star recently opened the store on Plum Drive near the Home Depot in Urbandale. Great doughnuts! Suddenly, I’m doing more home repair projects, which means I must go to Home Depot. Suddenly, our car is making quick stops at Kwik Star. Stranger than fiction!

A shining example of how to design a small convenience store. Along with the fuel, the store provides groceries and ready-made food (hot and cold), beverages, fresh bakery, and clean bathrooms. Their Cafe Karuba coffee is very good for a quick cup on the go. Be sure to join the Kwik Rewards program which offers deals, coupons, and rewards for every 15 visits.
