The Urban Grill

Honestly food was a little expensive, but then where isn't it. The food was excellent, some of the best food I've had in a long time. Service was wonderful, this too was some of the best service I've ever experienced.
I will definitely go there again as there are more dishes I want to try. I recommend this restaurant to everyone. You won't regret the food or the service. Thank you very much.

We went for a Birthday dinner. DELICIOUS!! My husband had the French Dip. I had the Creole. Soooo Goooood! I would suggest reservations if it's a large group

My husband and I went to the Urban Grill for date night, and it was our first time dining there and we were pleasantly surprised. The ambience was amazing, the server was absolutely a gem. The food was very very good. Definitely will go to try more items. For an appetizer we started with the mussels, They were absolutely delicious and the sauce, was amazing on the bread that they brought to the table. My husband got the pretzel crusted grouper, with the roasted vegetables on the side. The fish was cooked absolutely perfectly and the flavor was amazing. I got the Chicken piccata with a side of roasted vegetables. Done very well, meals were delicious and definitely had leftovers to go. For dessert my husband got the bread pudding and I got the chocolate cake. The bread pudding was amazing the caramel sauce the flavor, all perfect. My chocolate cake had a good flavor but it was a little dry so a little disappointed in that. All in all a great date night.

First time visiting this restaurant and it was WONDERFUL. Excellent service from our waiter, Henry, amazing cob salad for me and my husband said he had the best French dip sandwich he's ever ate. If you even kind of like bread pudding, GET THE BREAD PUDDING!! Loved the formal but relaxed atmosphere with candlelight and a lovely fireplace... just a great visit all 'round. It will be one of our regular stops for dining in Des Moines.

Everything we ordered was delicious! Our server Dani was very friendly and pleasant during our dinner and helped with wonderful suggestions. We loved the dimmed lighting and unique interior, it really helped instill that intimate, classy feeling we were looking for in our date night. Overall, a great place for a sit down meal during a fun but mellow night out. :)

First off Henry was great. Very attentive. Food awesome . Shown are Ribs, seafood chicken, Cobb salad, and Italian stuffed Tenderloins. Dessert included salted caramel cheesecake and creme brulee. All very good. Ribs fell off bone. Fought over trying the stuffed tenderloins. Holiday mule was perfect too. Highly recommend!!

Great service, great food, and great drinks! 100% would recommend. This is the second time I’ve been and it was just as good as the first time!

The southwest salad was absolutely awesome. Almost too much to eat but I managed to get it down. It was a little dark in there for my liking

We went there to celebrate an anniversary and a birthday. The food was delicious. Brooklyn was our server. She was very attentive and helped us celebrate. A great place!

The elderly ladies that flirted with me, made the meal a wonderful and joyful experience this holiday season. The chocolate cake that my best friend Ms. T D-F ate made her entire life better.

We had the muscles as an appetizer and I had the salmon for lunch. Everything was delicious, service was impeccable. Highly recommend!

This was our first time here & I have to say it was a very good experience. It's a great place for a date night! The ambience is intimate & the food is very good. The booths are dimly lit & fairly private for a restaurant which makes it a great place for a couple to enjoy quiet meal with a sophisticated menu.

went for a friend’s birthday. She is from Canada and she thinks chicken is good. We had a great meal and she had a meal with chicken. Service was outstanding . Food was great. Drinks were better.
Waitress killed it. This place is your classic “great meal and leave happy place”.

Had the ahi tuna starter. It was so good I ordered it was my main dish. This restaurant is delicious. Looking forward to coming back

I've never had a bad experience here. Try the Mussels and Tacos 😁. Don't forget the grilled calamari!!

Was in the area for 2 weeks for work best place we ate at..There was a 20min wait but sat at the bar bartender was very friendly. The waiter recommend the Korean steak tacos and they were awsome...will be back next time in the area
