Sugar Shack Diner

Arrived just after they opened on a Monday and several customers were already eating. I got the tenderloin fingers, brunch burger and a pop and it was <25$, extremely reasonable prices. Food was great, very fast and hot. They let me take a to-go pop so that was great! Only gripe was the "boom boom sauce" is a little low on the flavor ( but it's ok), and our waffle fries were VERY crispy. The atmosphere reminded me of the small town bar/restaurants in SW MN. I'll definitely come back.

This is what I'd call great food with great service!

I ordered the Hawaiian Burger and my wife ordered their tenderloin.

The sandwiches tasted great, were made to order, and done our way.

However, their fries are some of the best I've ever had. Their crunch and flavor are absolutely to die for.

The outside of this diner needs help. It looks like a homeless shelter. However, the inside has a 1950's diner decor and it's clean.

The staff was great great! Friendly and attentive!

the food here has really improved!! we love the fries and shakes, super flavorful. I highly recommend the cheese frenchie, it is unbelievably good. the theme is also super cute for dining in!! they also have really good ranch if you love homemade ranch as much as i do.

First and foremost, this is a diner, or more accurately it's diner food in a strip mall. Don't expect fancy or unique menus, it's a DINER.
That said, the food was exactly what I expect from a typical American diner, the menu is exactly what you should expect at an American style diner.
The service on my last visit was ... mediocre ... not bad exactly, but nothing beyond the minimum service the server could give without losing her job.

Great little diner! Very clean and excellent atmosphere. Our server was really nice and a man who I assume was the owner made a couple rounds of the restaurant asking people how their meals were ect, he was also very friendly. We ordered the classic ride and a bacon cheeseburger both with cole slaw. The burgers were great! Buns were toasted and the patties grilled perfectly.
We’ll definitely be back.

This place was pretty great! Ordered a Mint chocolate chip shake and a chicken fajita wrap👍 Service was good but the fries had a bit too much salt on them for my liking. Not gonna remove any starts for that because I know lots of people like salt. 5/5, definitely would go here again👍

This was such a wonderful experience! The tenderloin sandwich and seasoned fries were crunchy, delicious and deservedly their signature specialty. Mila (our server) was friendly, helpful and attentive, with a smile and a great attitude. My friends and I will make a point in the future to return here when in the area. Definitely worth the trip!!!

Found this place while out for a morning drive. Breakfast was delicious and the service was superb. They ran out of English muffins and the owner came out to apologize and offer alternatives. The decor really makes the place and it is both clean and fun. Hang with the locals and find a filling breakfast at the same time. Good portions and good prices.

My wife and I have been going to Sugar Shack for a few years now. We follow them on Facebook to see what the daily special is. Today we had the double cheeseburger with fries. There is no need to ever eat at the place that has a clown for a mascot with a broken ice cream machine ever again as long as Sugar Shack is open. Mark and his folks always have fantastic food! Thank you Mark for all the great meals!!

We love stopping in ma and pa joints. Mark and Kim are stand up folks. They have the absolute best steak and eggs I've ever had & that's my staple order anywhere I go to eat breakfast. We highly recommend giving them your business if able to.

Quick, friendly service. Average tasting food for a small diner. Nice variety of ice cream flavors.

No wait to get in Sunday after 1 PM. They do close at 2 PM on Sunday, FYI. Ordered a caramel malt and it was served in the malt glass and the rest was in the mixing tin. It was delicious.

I ordered their Classic Ride burger (2 patties, pepper jack cheese) and it was big. My wife ordered the tenderloin and it was huge! Hint: the tenderloin was served without condiments on it.

We both got fries and these are battered fries that are fantastic.

Both meals were good and required to go boxes.

Was there for lunch. Diner like atmosphere. Service friendly and fast and attentive. The food was tasty. We will return.

Ordered the Pizza Burger with Fries

Burger was well made, cooked well without being burnt. Cheese was perfectly melted. And sauce was just plentiful enough to enjoy without being messy.
Fries, surprisingly, came with a sprinkling of seasoning. Crispy and flavorful, didn't even want to use ketchup.

The server, Haley, was bright and attentive. Order came out timely and accurate (even the extras). And she was as friendly as they come.

I will definitely have to get back here before I return to Chicago.

Great place to eat, staff and owner very friendly. Definitely recommend for all meal times! Not many places you go to where the owner visits with customers new and regulars.

Such a cute diner, above average diner food. Just in town for the night and this was pretty close to our hotel and saw it had good reviews. I got a coffee brownie shake that was sooo good, everything we had was really tasty. More than enough food

Took my 8 and 10 yr old for lunch. Their first time being there (I'm ashamed of that but being a busy father, don't get to take them out much) They were in total awe over the decor when we walked in... I saw their little eyes busy taking everything in!! My son is a fan of Corvettes and booth we sat in was Corvette heaven for him!! I got the amazing double chili dog and they both got the Shack Burgers. Of course topped it off with ice cream cones. Didn't get to see Mark but certain he was busy like normal. This man has carried this restaurant and crew through the trenches since Covid hit a few years back. He has never lost his passion for everything he stands for. If you've never been, I suggest you go, and you are supporting local.
