Drake Diner

Very nice place. 1st time here with my daughter. Huge portions. A bit pricey for lots of things, I will say for regular items, but I guess that's everywhere. Service was great. I was able to order off the lunch menu too, which is a bonus since I'm allergic to eggs at 8:30am. Lol. Will go again for lunch or dinner so see how it is. Reminds me of Angels dinner in Florida. I ordered a turkey club with onion rings and my daughter ordered a number 4 I think.

Good comfort food. Bloody Mary's are delicious. Wonderful service. Frenchie was delicious. Grilled cheese was crispy and hot. Patty melt was hot and tasty. Onion rings were great!!! French dip, get it with cheese, it was so good. Rarebit burger, I would pass on this- not enough flavor. Thank you! We'll be back.

Good ol all American diner food and atmosphere! The service was good, the server was pleasant and courteous. While the diner was busy, we still got our food very quickly. The food tasted good and is the type of food you’d expect at a diner like this. We were very happy to eat here on our visit to Iowa. We had the Eggs Benedict, Cinnamon Swirl French Toast, Chicken and Waffles, Captain Crunch French Toast Sticks, Bacon and some Waffle Dogs. While the Captain Crunch French Toast Stick weren’t that impressive, the Waffle Dogs were interesting and the rest of the food was enjoyable. I would definitely recommend for an enjoyable experience. 👍🏼👍🏼

We went to Drake Diner today and had a great experience! We were greeted as soon as we walked in. The manager was friendly, apologized and said they needed to let the kitchen catch up, but she would seat us in 10 minutes. In the meantime she interacted with our kids, asked them what they got for Christmas and told them there was a toy and sucker bucket for them after they were done eating. We had a turkey club, a rarebit burger, a milk shake, a number 3, chicken fried steak and it was amazing. We will definitely be back as they treated us like family and not just another customer.

I have no idea why so many people love this place as its food is at par with other diners, but it does have the historical significance and ambiance.

Greeted immediately, had a hard to find chocolate MALT, server was very attentive and friendly, and loved the music!! Also impressed with how clean it was, downtime greeter/manager was deep cleaning chairs. 5+++ stars!!

Hadn't been here in awhile and I'm glad I went again! My food was amazing. I ordered the Turkey Club, my boyfriend got the Bacon Cheeseburger, and we split the Cake Shake. His burger didn't come with lettuce or anything but he still enjoyed it!

Great food, great place. Service was fast and only forgot one thing and I suspect it was mostly due to the waitress being very fast and just made a small mistake nothing big. Will definitely go back.

This diner is a VIBE in all of the best ways. Sat down, ordered a coffee and BOOM it’s there immediately. I ordered #3, added onion and cheese to the hashbrowns and I can say with 100% confidence it’s the best decision I’ve made all year. Order toast and they’ll give you an entire loaf of bread. The toast was pre-buttered and moist. Delicious. Service was prompt and friendly. We will be back and I cannot wait.

1st time here at Drake Diner. Wow! For the life of me why I never tried it b4 now. The food was outstanding and the portions were above and beyond. Not to many places feed you like that.

OHMYGawd Becky. Go here, stuff your feelings, and enjoy the scenery. Staff is super friendly, safe, and distanced accordingly. Food... is to die for. I ... was actually quiet for 10 minutes while enjoying their #5 breakfast. 2 eggs, hash browns, ham, 2 pancakes. Wife for the #4, 2 eggs, sausage and 2 pancakes. Food... is amazing. Fresh, hot, and everything you’ll ever need in your face. Now, get here, order it, eat it, and tip these awesome waitresses!

Portobello mushroom strips for appetizer, Breaded pork loin and onion rings, grilled cheese with crinkle fries,and a piece of the amazing devils food cake to take home for later... food and server were amazing like always.

Sat at the bar, got immediate service, good food, decent prices, she left me alone after serving me my meal which is what I prefer over being interrupted while I'm eating. Cheese on my scrambled eggs could have been melted a little better, but it was good, nonetheless. Mimosas were poured nicely

I love eating at Diners and Drake Diner did not disappoint. The atmosphere is chill, the food is on POINT and the service is great.

The Chinese chicken salad came with a lot of chicken, almost too much for my liking, but still good. I might have preferred the taco salad.

Pumpkin pancakes are in a category of their own, it’s almost an insult to put them in the same category as regular pancakes.

Really great diner food. Well done, fresh and tasty. Nice crew and just a good vibe diner. We were sitting at the bar and sure did enjoy this tremendously. My fiancée had the pancake and never looked back. Good move.

I had to go back and apologize to Jenn, a server I had a bad moment with (my fault), and I did. I missed the Diner food plus I just did not feel good about my moment! I had a wonderful breakfast this Sunday morning, and I was so happy to be back. Thank you Jenn for making my Sunday morning so beautiful!!!!

Friendly, prompt staff and good food. The blue plate meat loaf dinner was large enough to split and have plenty for two. The music is quiet so this is a good place to sit down and talk.
