Lions Park

I love this place!, the best place ever especially the 4th of July and the, Urbandale carnival very fun, come here coolest place!!

Plenty of shade and equipment to keep the kids entertained. We’re excited to try one the new splash pad this summer!

This is my kid's favorite park! There's a lot to do and several different play structures so my somewhat shy son can choose how social he's feeling. Great for a wide age range of kids.

My kids love coming here to play and my family used to always rent out the party room and have all major holiday parties here a great memory of mine.

Beautiful, well kept public park.

Fun park with a couple of options to play on. We didn't get any pictures this time though! It had 3 sets of playground equipment for varying ages: a big rope web and ladder-like slides (for bigger kiddos-- 5+) and then they had more traditional playground equipment for younger kiddos (2-5). With the nearby construction, parking was a little more challenging than expected but we enjoyed the walk!

Urbandale carnival during Independence day was a great time!

Very safe space for our young children. Although, beware of sticks and pine needles around the park. We had a lot of fun. My sister had a graduation party in the shelter last year even.

Right across the street from Olmsted Elementary School and caddy corner to Urbandale High School, and only a few blocks away from Urbandale Middle School is Lyons Park. Besides its perfect location, it is a very spacious park with a baseball field, tennis courts, basketball courts, and a restroom on site. There's also a gazebo and some grills so a nice place to hang out no matter what the occasion.

Nice, big park with a gazebo, picnic tables and grills, playground, and wide open space. There's a building available for rent, too. On-site parking is available.

Love this Park. Playground is always fun for the kids!

We live that the bigger playground has a rubber matt before it so kids don't get muddy. Another smaller play ground food younger kids, another climber with slide and swings. The swings have a coswing for mom and toddler, a couple toddler swims and big kid swings.

They added more to this park. Been going to this park since 1970. Keeps getting better. My Daughter's now Granddaughters. They tore down Olmstead Elementary. So naked now until the new elementary gets built.

Always love the 4th of July at Lions park. My daughter went on her first ride and got to dance at the street dance for a little while. Love the playground that they have as well.

Tons of green space, covered patio areas and a killer gazebo! Perfect for family outings, large gatherings or just a stroll.

This park had three separate play areas and huge shade trees that cover almost all of the play area. Picnic tables, grills, open fields, a bathroom facility with running water, basketball and tennis courts, splash pad, picnic shelter, and a band stand.
