Super 8 by Wyndham Clive IA

Entire property was clean and well kept. Parking lot well lit and multiple parking spaces. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and roomy with working AC, Fridge and microwave. Everyone we dealt with on staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel is in a nice location with restaurants and a convenience store nearby, and location is an easy "jumping off" point to get to anywhere in the Des Moines area. Typical waffle, muffin, yogurt, juice, milk and coffee offerings in the breakfast area. Would definitely stay here again.

I stayed here for two weeks. The location was on point. I was able to wash my car next door after I checked in and got settled. The restaurants are also a few steps away for breakfast lunch and dinner. The Mall and everything else you can think of is around the corner less than 10 miles away.
My room was clean. The hotel was quiet and peaceful. The front desk lady Mrs. Roma had a beautiful smile and made me feel welcome.
I will return to this location every time I'm in town for business.

The old adage is that for every good experience you may tell one or two ppl but for every bad experience we tell 10 others, that needs to change. The people that work tirelessly at this hotel should be rewarded for their efforts. I've stayed at this hotel for a number of days and they could not be any better towards me than they are right now. I'm having some health things going on in my life n and that is stressful enough, so it means the world to me that I never have to stress about the accommodations or the people that work here. It allows me to rest easy. Please give this place a try next time you are in the capital city, you won't regret it.

Stayed here for a quiet and relaxing night during a storm. The room was nice and clean. The bed was wonderful. It was a memory foam mattress and so comfortable.

Extemely nice staff here and out of nearly every MAJOR hotel in the area, I'd chose this location again for all my needs. These are real people who simply hear you out and work with you...thank you so much to all the staff 🙏🏻my puppy was so happy here as well!

The staff is hospitable, friendly and very helpful. Clean and safe environment. Had to extend stay and very accommodating. Highly recommended.

Because the location is perfect proximity to my work, I stay here often. Always come back because as I said the location is great. But they also have roomy studio suite rooms for good price & always work with me for an early check in!

This hotel is fantastic. The beds are very comfortable. Pillows are good. Friendly service. Quiet. Rooms are inside but multiple doors to outside. Lots of tv choices. Clean. Multiple food choices close by. I’ll definitely stay again if in the area!! Thanks 😊

This is a great hotel when you are on a budget. Beds were very comfy and they came to our room daily to make the beds and to give us clean towels. The breakfast was fine, especially considering the price point. We would definitely stay again!

We met some friends from Minnesota for a three night stay. We stayed at Super 8 in Clive, IA (Des Moines West). When we first pulled I was a little apprehensive as to whether we wanted to stay there because the outside of the building needed some paint and updating but we went in and the lobby seemed clean so we checked in with the manager, who was extremely nice, and thought if our room wasn’t clean we would go somewhere else. We were pleasantly surprised. It was clean and everything seemed to work plus it had a fridge and microwave, coffee pot, hair dryer and iron and ironing board. We really enjoyed our stay and most definitely would stay there again. The continental breakfast was nice too.

Our first Super 8 in a long time! Nice building and breakfast area!! Our room wasn't ready so they gave us an upgraded beautiful room on the ground floor for the low price. Close to two freeways but no freeway noise at the room. Great people checking us in and out! We love anything with the name Wyndham on it!!

From my phone call to inquire about rooms and truck parking to reserving my room for two nights, to being there in person, I was greeted with a friendly voice and smile and she was very helpful and answered all of my questions. I was made to feel very welcomed and the rooms are cozy and very clean. The beds are comfortable and there's plenty of pillows. I would highly recommend.

Clean and comfortable room. Easy access from the freeway but no semi truck parking (FYI). Limited breakfast options.

Stayed here on September 1st 2017. When I walked in I was greeted by 2 friendly clerks.. They were very helpful on where my room was . The room was very clean , clean sheets, clean linen. Internet was reliable. Breakfast had a good amount to choose from and was typical hotel breakfast. Great location right off the highway, gas station and few restaurants well within walking distance. Felt safe there.. would stay there again..

We stayed at this motel 9/30 & again10/8. Both stays were exceptional. The check ins and check outs went very smoothly. Everyone that worked the front desk were very pleasant and helpful.

I have to praise Brenda. She took care of front desk and the dining area the morning of 10/9. The dining area was almost full of guests for breakfast and there were quests at the front desk to check out. Doesn't sound unusual except; Brenda was trying to do check outs, make more coffee, fill the milk pitcher, put out more silverware, bring out more bread, fill the syrup dispenser, and mix up more waffle batter and she had no one to help her. The motel guests were very patient and a couple of us asked if we could do any thing to help her. Brenda was able to handle the situation like a pro. She deserves a bonus.

The motel grounds looked very nice, I didn't see any litter. The motel rooms (the 2 we stayed in) were very clean. I liked the neutral color scheme and decor. I've stayed at motels were the colors were either screaming at you or making you wish you hadn't eaten before you saw the room. The beds were comfortable and surprisingly the pillows weren't lumpy. There were plenty of bath linens, except the towels are a little on the smaller side and kind of rough. But to make up for the bath towels, the shower head was/is a heck of a lot better than the one at the resort were we stayed while on vacation.

The rooms were very quiet. We didn't hear any road noise and innerstate 35 is approximately 2 blocks away.

I highly recommend staying at this Super 8 motel.

STAY HERE!!! Will at the front desk might have been the nicest person I’ve dealt with at a hotel. Unbelievably accommodating to our needs after driving all day. The rooms were big, clean, nice showers, and the pillows felt like clouds. We have been sleeping in a campervan, so maybe we were just spoiled with a nice bed. But highly recommend this location. Stay away from the Super 8 in Altoona a little further down. Glenda their manager is horrid. 10/10 a better location here.
