Rocky Mountain Hotel

Staff were so kind and the room was nice and cozy. Everywhere was lined with carpet which was comfy. Breakfast was yummy. Super quiet place which is awesome I hate loud hostels/hotels

The rooms were all lined with a soft carpet floor. We had a front facing room looking over the petra valley, which was stunning. The breakfast was good and sufficient for tje first few hours on petra. We also ordered some lunch boxes the day before, which cost around 4 JOD extra. The experience at the hotel was very good. The only issues was that we couldn’t pay by card, so we have to withdraw money at a local ATM at a relatively bad rate.

This hotel has everything you want, and more! Locally owned family like hotel, with helpful staff. Everyone is very kind. You have to listen to their stories about their homeland and their life inside Petra! If you come here, you get a bed, you get food, and a beautiful view over Wadi Musa and the mountains where Petra lies. But if you engage in conversation, you get something much, much more. You get a glimpse of the life of the bedouin people, a real knowledge of the culture and their lifes and struggles. If you come here, you will leave with treasures of learning about a new culture. Petra and Jordan opens up to you, and you get a glimpse of the reality of it, not just the facade. And it's even more beautiful, complicated, and rich than you thought before!

Perfect accomodation for visiting Petra. The view from the Room and the terrace is amazing. Delicious breakfast in the morning an so helpful and friendly service. For me the best accomodation in Jordan!

Great little hotel on top of a hill with amazing views of Wadi Musa (sunset included) the staff was really friendly and helpful. They even moved the breakfast to accommodate us leaving for Petra! We felt very special. Thank you

The Rocky Mountain was a lovely surprise. Price value for Wadi Musa is one of the best, the room was big and clean and the staff were incredibly kind, welcoming and accommodating. We had a lovely room with an incredible view to Petra at a very budget friendly price, and the breakfast that was included was a pleasant surprise. Highly recommend any traveler on a budget to book their stay with them.

I loved my stay at the Rocky Mountain!! All the staff are incredibly welcoming, helpful and accommodating. Any questions or guidance needed was always available to me - I was able to book most all my tours through the hotel, which I can not praise enough about. They offer day trip services outside of Petra (for me this was an extraordinary experience), shuttle services to and from Petra and a lovely continental breakfast. The view of Petra from the lounge is out of this world!! My room was clean, set at the perfect temperature and comfortable. It was a pleasant surprise to have no distractions and take the opportunity to dust off a book that I have wanted to finish for months. Quaint, great ambiance and wonderful services. Thank you for that!

We didn’t stay at the hotel but asked if we could still enjoy the sunset from the terrace. The staff was so nice and even offered us tea and coffee. The view is absolutely breathtaking and probably one of the best in Wadi Musa.

Hotel at the top of Petra with an amazing view of the city. Free coffee and tea to make on the reception 24/7 and mainly - very nice, human and willing staff. Hot water in the showers whenever you want.

Stayed here in 2013: great place to spend our time in Petra, even though it wasn't very close to the gates of the entrance of Petra. The advantage of this was that because we were quite high up a hill, we had a very nice view of Petra and it's village, and could watch a very beautiful sunset every night. The hotel organised free drop offs and pick ups to and from Petra.
It has a very nice dining area upstairs, which is sort of a lounge area as well. You can also sit here on the balcony where you can enjoy the view over Petra. The breakfast was good and the lunch packages that you can buy for 4 JD every day are great.
The owner and her husband were both very friendly and helpful.

Our rooms bathroom was an odd configuration you need to climb over the toilet to get to the shower. But the price and view from the room were great

Wonderful hotel in Petra village. Has everything you need to have a relaxing stay. The owners are so friendly and warm. The view is breathtaking. The food is delicious. 24hr tea and coffee. Affordable packed lunches for your Treasury day trip. The bed was comfortable and nice and quite at night to sleep. There is even a tv in the room. Shower water was hot. Free Shuttle to Petra and back to hotel. Exquisite hotel, very clean and nice price. Again, the view!! Trust me, it's the best hotel experience in Petra.

We recently stayed here and I cannot recommend this boutique family owned hotel enough! We checked in late after attending petra at night and they were kind enough to extend the hot water so we could shower. My husband asked for some baklava shop recommendations to visit the following day and they were so kind, they delivered a plate of sweets to our room! When we asked whether they had a kettle, they personally went and fetched us two mugs of hot water for tea. Nothing was too much trouble and it's little gestures like that, that makes a hotel feel more like a home. The hotel is extremely convenient for self driving, the free parking was across the road and was only about 4 mins to Petra visitors centre. Thank you for the beautiful hospitality and we hope to visit again!

Excellent place to stay, great breakfast, amazing views, beautiful sun sets and very comfortable. I also left my flash memory stick behind and the hotel tracked me to my guide inWadi Rum to ensure I got it back via the bus driver the next day

Affordable hotel with great service and charm. Incredible views from the terrace make this an awesome place sip a tea and watch the sunset. Good breakfast and close proximity to Petra.

This review concerns the top floor restaurant. It’s got amazing views overlooking Wadi Musa and the mountains. If you’re staying close and have nothing to do before/after visiting Petra I’d recommend you go and check it out - the views are unforgettable(especially during the sunset).
