Mövenpick Petra

Located right beside the ticket entrance to the Petra national park, and across the street from the Petra Museum.

My room was comfortable though it didn’t have an open view.

The buffet breakfast and dinner were excellent, with a wide range of appealing dishes.

The hotel doesn’t provide bar soap, so I had to buy a bar from a shop in the hotel, at a fairly exorbitant price.

For a visit to Petra, this would be your best choice.

Great location, beautiful hotel the breakfast buffet was splendid, staff was super helpful. We could just hear the cars at night on the street a little much (if you have trouble sleeping). The swimming pool is outdoor and not heated in case you come during the winter months. The entrance is beautiful all decorated with traditional features and furniture. Location is ideal literally in front of the entrance to Petra.

We spent a very nice night at the hotel during our 1.5 day trip to Petra. The staff was welcoming and extremely accommodating; upgrading our room and allowing us to check out and leave our bags in our car until we finished touring Petra. The service was all around top notch, in particular at the bar, Al Maqa'ad, where we also ate dinner. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated and serene, and the location immediately across the street from the Petra visitor's center is hard to beat. Highly recommend.

I stayed one night with my family and I have to admit over all the years it is the best hotel with the best trained staff that I have ever seen.
Very friendly courteous and really helpful staff. Made our stay very comfortable so we really had a great time .

We loved the hotel overall. Friendly staff. Nice room. Upgraded to a suite. Great location at the entrance to Petra. Good service. However, on one of the days we came back to the room to take a nap and there was EXTREMELY LOUD noise coming from the room above our room. It was drilling and pounding. We called down to the front desk and it took 5 calls before they finally stopped. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful hotel with amazing location, the hotel located exactly few steps from the entrance of Al Petra entrance. The rooms were so clean and spacious, service were super especially the receptionist team. Breakfast buffet was good.

An extraordinary stay in this place. Our original booking was in Grand Mercure but we were rebooked in Movenpick. We were upgraded to a King Suite, which was beyond our expectations. The room doesn't lack anything at all. An iron and ironing board are available upon request. The hotel is nicely located in front of Petra's entrance with lots of restaurants around it. This is my second stay in this place, and I don't regret it at all.

The team at the front office is exceptional. We were delighted by the assistance of a gentleman wearing glasses who not only accommodated our request for a late check-out but also provided us with comprehensive information about Petra, greatly enhancing our travel plans. The room we stayed in was not only impeccably clean but also quite spacious, ensuring a comfortable stay. Additionally, we would like to express our gratitude for the exceptional food service provided.

I don’t think we could’ve stayed somewhere better in Petra. This place was perfect, right across from the visitor centre. We got up both days at 6am to have breakfast and go straight into the ancient city with NO CROWDS! Absolutely worth the price for staying at the movenpick. Yousaf at reception was great, thank you so much for the great welcome and the room upgrade!!

Enjoyed the chocolate hour, happy hour at the bar and of course some ice cream (great service at the ice cream shop and the souvenir shops as well).

During my week in Jordan I stayed at three Mövenpick hotels and the Petra hotel was the best. Outstanding service, very clean updated rooms with cool colorful slippers, washcloth and a nice robe, great Happy Hour and excellent dinner buffet.

You can’t beat the location of this hotel right opposite the main entrance to Petra. Beside the location it is also a very beautiful hotel with great service. The atrium in the center of the hotel is an attraction on its own. The food and buffet is nice and the selection of food and drinks as well. The roof top terrace at sunset is very beautiful as well.

The hotel is perfectly located for getting into the ancient site of Petra, menaing we could get in before the crowds and get into our shower within minutes of the end of a long day's sightseeing. Good rooms, pleasant pool, however the food was not as good as its price implied it would be. The buffet had plenty of choice but still succeeded in being a bit bland.

Great hotel and great location. The hotel is right across Petra visitor center so don't had to spend money on taxis. Great breakfast, and fantastic service. Hotel is clean, well maintained and great service.

i would love to say that this was one of my best experiences of all times. the receptionists were so helpful and professional. With every step, and it was really a great experience of sleeping in clean and great room. thank you so much for this experience. and this hotel will be recommended from me to all the people i know.

The staff were very friendly and hospitable. The room was very clean and had all of the amenities we needed for our stay. The on site restaurants served delicious food. It was also in the perfect location as it was right by the entrance of Petra which was the primary reason we booked our stay there. It takes less than a minute to reach the entrance.

An absolute 5-star hotel! From the accommodations to the top-notch service, every aspect of this hotel shines. Attentive staff, and a prime location make it an unforgettable stay. Highly deserving of a perfect rating!

It's just in face to Petra, i love it because the buffet was really amazing.
Is only one pool and is outside, is the only point negative because i love swimming, but anyway was really cool.

To be completely honest, our day started really badly when we were duped into paying an exorbitant amount for a “local guide” to Petra. When we came to the hotel for happy hour, though, our moods were instantly lifted upon meeting Mary Ann from the Philippines. She was incredibly warm and welcoming. It’s amazing how a little bit of genuine kindness can go a long way. The wonderful service and location next to Petra make Movenpick a solid choice!
