The Wood Restaurant & Lounge

We started with the Tuna Wonton Stack. I had the Burgundy Mushroom Steak and wife had the Big Canadian. Everything was delicious. Word of warning… portions are large.

Dog friendly patio. We dined end of January so a bit chilly but they had blankets. Would have been 5 star if they could have been able to turn on a heater. We would have stayed longer for another beer. Highly recommend 😊

Great experience. Great service. Fantastic food. Our drinks were never empty. Everyone was happy and cheerful and our food made me want to go back for more. There’s surely something for any appetite here and am so glad we stopped in to try them out.

Went with friends to the woods for the first time after a hike at grassi . Enjoyed the atmosphere and food.

Chicken sandwich needed to be recooked, but they corrected it.

View from patio is epic, but was super hot, so we finished our food inside which was a great cabin atmosphere.

Enjoyed our meal here. Service was good. Didn’t have to wait long for our meal. Love that the kids menu comes with an option of fruit as a side. Our kids don’t like fries and it’s usually always a side of veggies so they were pumped to see watermelon as a side option. My only wish would be if they had different salad sizes.

Giving a 5 star service was so good. Ambiance not bad. Bison burger was lean and healthy dark grain bun. I am not into fries but we grabbed the poutine buffalo chicken fries to start. The sauces they add blended so well I could have eaten them as a meal. Phenomenal.

This is not wheelchair/mobility issues friendly. There's 5 large steps to get up to the restaurant and the restroom is in the basement. This wasn't a problem for us but might be helpful for others to know

WOW! I am blown away! We made the trip from Banff today and have never been so impressed. The food and service from Chase was impeccable! He made the perfect food and drink recommendations that overall hit the spot! If you’re in town, highly recommend. Make sure to ask to be served by Chase to make your experience an unforgettable one.

Went for dinner tonight with a friend. I had the Alberta beef burger, fries and gravy and a Caesar drink. I was impressed with all of it. Service was fantastic and it has a very cool atmosphere. Would definitely go back and absolutely would recommend. Good job!

Everything was excellent! The poutine was fantastic! I also very enjoyed my mango smoothie n/a. Staff was exceptional as well. They have warm blankets for the patio!

Awesome food, excellent service and the view from the patio was spectacular. The highlight of the meal was the excellent dry ribs. The buffalo burger was perfectly done and the meal was made to meet some dietary restrictions. This was our second day-trip to Canmore for lunch and I know we will return again!
My friend really enjoyed the coffee and would like to find some she can purchase.

This place offers beautiful outdoor seating area, and warmer months. The inside seating is cozy and rustic. They offer a wide variety of vegetarian and non vegetarian options. They have fully stocked bar and several dozen options for beer. The pictures associated with this review.

We really enjoyed our visit at The Wood Restaurant. Great food, nice personel and very nice decor. The food was really good and we enjoyed our time here. I recommend this if you need a place to eat in Canmore!

We had the turkey dinner special. Was perfect. The dressing was also perfect. Local Beers on tap were great. Staff was kind and helpful. Nice bathrooms too! Will come back.

Tasty food. Good ambience. Most of all love the beer. Not too expensive and it is a close stop-by for the Bow River Trail walk.
Update 2022-04-25:
Went there again yesterday. So happy we didn't have to wait outside. We were seated right away and allowed us to stay on the same corner we were before. So the server was very accommodating. The food was delicious as usual.

Food was par for the course though I didn't love the fries. The service however was great. We had an awesome server that made us feel right at home. They also have some real sweet looking drinks if that's your thing, it's not my thing but I enjoyed the drink I got.

Awesome food. Give the Red lentil soup a try. Staff is awesome

We had a lot of amazing food in Canmore. But our dinner at The Wood Restaurant and Lounge was our favorite. We had the dragon bowl and crispy salmon burger with sweet potato fries, both were amazing. Our server was also great.
