Rundle Chalet Reviews

Everything you need for a quiet getaway looking at the snow capped mountains. Nothing fancy, expect like a little cabin in the woods, some have a fireplace, others heaters, a small fridge, cooktop, and sink all in one ingenious unit. Would agree with some maintenance and upkeep but has great potential and the price for the night was perfect for the experience.

Great place!
I don't know why people leave negative reviews.
It's separate cabin with a mini-fireplace and everything you need for cooking, spending the night, sitting by the fire, shower and toilet. Prices compared to other cabins are very nice. What else is needed for a tourist who comes to see the mountains and Banff?

We stayed here 7 times. As a couple and a group of friends. And we were always satisfied.
Don't be too moody. it's not a hilton hotel, but it's an honest place for a fair price.

Far enough from the town of Canmore that you can feel escape from the town and enjoy the tranquility of being surrounded by mountains yet close enough to the town that within minutes you are dining, shopping and people watching.

A quaint rustic cabin that comes with the necessities to stay comfortable. The bonus of Rundle Chalet is the superb customer service! A true rarity and gem nowadays 😁

I grew up here in the bow valley and my parents live in Canmore so o come out here for long visits each year.
I ALWAYS stay at Rundle Ridge because it is an oasis in the mountains.
You really get to feel like you’ve found something special here.
Great management and friendly staff.
Only showers available which can be less ideal but the overall experience makes it easy to live with.
I stay by the week typically and I bring my own everything so it’s like home and they allow for this for me. I am very appreciative.🙏

Excellent place with rustic looks , fire place in certain cabins, available BBQ that we can use and the staff is very accommodating in every question we had for them . I do recommend to anyone in any class to live the experience of a rustic cabins at the entrance of the Banff National park 🏞

I was hesitant when I booked Rundle Chalets based off of other reviews.
I can whole heartedly say I was pleasantly surprised.
The couple working the front counter are incredibly friendly.
We stayed in the “Sundance” cabin.
Our cabin was perfectly clean. Yes it’s rustic and dated but that’s the charm. I would guess these cabins to have been built late 1930’s. The cabin we stayed in was dated but well maintained and as I previously mentioned clean. This is a great place to stop when heading to Banff and is right off the highway. Traffic noise was minimal. Perhaps cabins closer to the highway may experience more noise. They also have firepits and you can buy the wood from them. It’s a little pricey at $22/bag. Overall Rundle Chalets is comparable with the cabins at Johnson Canyon at a fraction of the price.

Fantastic little cabins! So happy we stayed here! Great price! We are from Ontario so needed something that had linens etc. Beautiful stars at night with a mountain view. Cabins are old but kept very well. Ours was clean. Chairs outside to sit in. Perfect rustic getaway! Will definitely return on our next trip to Alberta!

We rented the 3 bedroom cabin. Very rustic, but clean. Beds were comfortable. Location is amazing. Could use some upgrades, but we still enjoyed our stay.

Lots of bad reviews but we had a great time. The cabins are actually really cool and rustic. We had a blast! Cleanliness in some spots is definitely an issue though. But was definitely a much better experience then expected. Would stay here again for sure.

This place totally exceeded my expectations. It sounds like a miracle - to get a full cabin for such an affordable price. The location is perfect. Yes, it's located close to the highway, but сabins have pretty good sound insulation. I fell in love with our small cozy cabin. It has everything you need: a shower, comfortable bed, coffeemaker, stove, sofa, microwave, TV, wi-fi, and an amazing atmosphere. Everything was nice and clean.
This place has a soul.
The staff was friendly and helpful.
Now this place is gonna be my first choice for my future trips to this area.

Booked the Basic Cabin. Was everything we hoped for. Cute little cabin with a bed, bathroom, small kitchen area, dining table for 2 and sofa. Room had a TV and wifi but we didn't use them. Picnic table outside and 2 chairs as well. Kitchen had small microwave, kettle, single cup coffee machine (or bring your own ground coffee as they supplied filters), pots, pans, plates and cutlery for 2 people. Also a small 2 burner, plug in stove top.

Original 1970s cabin's... very peaceful. A bit of traffic and train noise. All in all a very good place to stay for a few days.

The cabins are beautiful. Old but it's nice. They place was clean had everything that was needed in the kitchen. The front desk people were so kind. Gave me balloons and flowers for my birthday. The area is so nice as well not far from hiking trails and the town is a five minute drive away. I would highly recommend staying here

We really enjoyed our short stay here with our two pooches. The staff were friendly snd the checkin/out was speedy. We didn’t want anything fancy - just a place to crash with the dogs for the night. We chose to use their own website to book and I always think this helps the process along anywhere, even if it’s a few bucks more than the expedia-type sites.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Rundle Chalets for two nights while doing some hikes in the area, and it was perfect! The cabin was small but cozy and clean and had everything we needed for a good night’s rest. And the kitchenette was fully equipped to make some homemade meals. Now it’s our favourite place to stay in Canmore that's comfortable and peaceful, yet affordable. And not to mention the mountain views were stunning.

Also, the new management was very kind and accommodating!

Very clean, rustic and gorgeous setting. The cabins are fairly old so looks a bit more rustic than the pics on their website. Comfortable bed but flat pillows and it only came with 2 pillows instead of four. Nice woodstove. You need to bring your own firewood.

This has such a magnificent view of the mountains! (see pic) The owners were very kind and attentive. The cabins are quaint and have what you need, although we didn't spend too much time there. It's in a good enough location that you can drive to most locations in Banff easily.
