Safeway Canmore

Clean and organized store with plenty of options. Liquor store next door. Prices was on par. Location is convenient and in the heart of Canmore. Plenty of parking.

Prices were similar to any other safeway despite being one of the most scenic grocery stores in the world.

Large and well stocked, there is everything you’d expect as well as a Starbucks and a help yourself soup station. Prices were pretty standard, the place was clean and staff at the self checkout were helpful

The prices were not as high as I would expect. They were very normal compared to what we were used to paying in Ontario.

We went here to pick up refreshments for our trip! Quite a big store for a small town. the area in which it is located is so scenic. Ample parking spot. Very friendly staffs, they were ready to help. The checkout precess was super quick. Loved the view of the store. The liquor Store is not inside the store, its next door. Options.. options.. so many options in this store. there was a huge separate refrigerated section for beers. Tried some local favourites. the staff was friendly and he also suggested some favourites that we can try!

5 stars for Kim in the bakery. My sister was eloping and we had no cake plan. We went in and Kim was willing to make her a small white cake within 24 hours. When we picked up it was shorter than expected but she was able to add another tier within an hour or two. She was seriously so nice and we are so happy my sister will have a cute little white cake on her wedding day.

Friendly staff. I was able to find everything I was looking for. The view from outside the store is amazing.

We were traveling through the Canadian Rockies with a truck and trailer. It’s just the two of us and we don’t make big meals. When we asked the butcher about cutting the portion sizes down for us they were super helpful.

See, if we only make a meal with 200 grams of ground beef, I don’t want to thaw out 500 grams.

We picked out what we wanted and he wrapped it into the portions we needed.

Clean, well organized. Baskets and carts are disinfected by a friendly team member upfront who offers hand disinfect when coming in. Noticed the staff disinfecting the self service stations after each use.

Great selection of all your needs and with prices which were very reasonable. I was concerned that being so far away from the next major city (Calgary) that grocery prices would be higher here, but I found them to be in line with what I saw in Calgary and Edmonton. The store is huge and was well-stocked and had a great selection of fruits and vegetables.

Best flower stop! Judy is the gal to see. Very knowledgeable and any arrangement is possible with her. Judy is super friendly and helpful, she has great ideas. Just talking flowers with her will put you in a great mood. She is the reason I shop for flowers there.

Stopped for groceries during our stay in Canmore in Air BnN. Well maintained store, just like other safeways, there is a starbucks inside. Very well stocked and clean store. There is accessible parking and also a decent size parking area for the store.

I used to shop at Save On, but quickly realized that Safeway had a lot more healthier foods choices for a comparable price.

Perfect place to stock up on groceries, if you are a visitor/traveler in this area and you need to pick up food for meals before you go into Banff and Lake Louise. It had everything we needed & seem to be the most affordable option.
