Neat little shop with some top quality stock for the professional and plenty of more accessible items for the beginner. The staff are good at acknowleding you and then leaving you alone to look. Some very nice Martin acoustics and a nice range of high end electic guitars.

Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. They were very busy and handling many customers but took time to care for everyone. Willing to handle special requests, including shipping a guitar, something they never did before.

They chased down a better price than I had found online 🤩

Walked in to ask about a Dan Electro guitar's price + deals. Met Ian and Mika who had a very welcoming presence to them. Ian taught me about the origin of Dan Electro guitars and how they were made down to the very last detail. Thoroughly enjoyed our conversation and will definitely be back!

A truly special shop to visit! Not only do they have a great range of new and vintage guitars, but they take the time to share their knowledge with every customer, talk you through your options and varying price points, and order items in for you if they don’t have them.

They also treat children coming in to buy their first instrument with a lot of enthusiasm and care which doesn’t always happen in other shops. On one of our visits a boy was in there with his mum, buying his first guitar, and the guys sat with him and showed him how to change the strings. When I took my son in to get his first pair of drum sticks they spent a lot of time helping him pick the right pair and showed him how to use them. I always leave there feeling like they really care about fostering the next generation of musicians.

Definitely worth a visit whether you’re an experienced musician or just starting out.

A cozy little nook of music. Wonderful staff. I ended up buying a cort fretless bass (totally unplanned btw). They have a very cute sticker collection of their doggy friends

We hired a keyboard and the whole process has been great experience. Great customer service, very considerate. Will recommend to anyone if you are looking for musical instruments in Blue Mountains!

A really well chosen array of quality guitars and amps for sale at this place. Really more inspiring than I've seen in bigger outlets down in Sydney. You'll often find some very special looking guitars here that look like real keepers. Even though I have enough guitars, I was really tempted. Have a trip to Katoomba and check it out before you put any money down in Sydney. You might just get a unique purchase and enjoy Katoomba too.

Friendly, helpful staff that know their stuff. Was purchasing for my son and had no idea what things were called. Lovely woman made me feel comfortable and helped me work out what I needed. Not the hard sell either just advise what was need. Thank you.

The employees will give you all the precise knowledge and direction, for anything to do with music.
Not pushy, and not greedy, they are happy to help and inform you, even if your "just looking"..
Given that, it feels, that the core value of this establishment, is to want to help you get better.
Music sells itself, but the ones that promote it, need to do it in the right way.
And, at Katoomba Music, expect to walk in, then walk out, knowing more and feeling great!!

The guys at Katoomba music are great. They go out of their way to look after you when they can. My guitar feels and sounds spot on after Micah did some setting up today. Wasn't costly either.
