Woolworths Katoomba

Woolworths Katoomba is a top supermarket.

They're well stocked, great staff, huge with easy parking.

Go here whilst visiting on holidays and love their work x

I don't normally post about supermarkets as you've seen one you've seen them all. But not this one!!!
We could fit two of our local Woolworths (Qld) into this one! The cold storage is incredible! Floor to near ceiling wall to wall across 3 walls.
I would have loved to have stayed for a few hours but we were in a hurry.

I just want to say what lovely staff members I encountered in this branch of Woolworths. It is a very big store with plenty of stock, so that already makes it a pleasant place to shop but when I couldn’t find a particular item, after looking everywhere I found one young lady restocking shelves in the fruit and veg section and she knew exactly where to find my item and gave a description for the opposite end of the store and then decided it would easier if she showed me and so was happy to walk me all the way over and point out where I should go. This has never happened to me before at other Woolworths so I commend get. And she was so friendly. So too was the girl manning the self service checkouts so that overall I left feeling very happy with my visit. Parking is also easy. So overall I would recommend this over the other supermarket brands in the area.

This excellent Woollies has everything the Sydney stores have with easy parking, good access for disabled and elderly folk and it’s open till late.

Big shout out to Zane, who provided excellent customer service to me twice yesterday when I could not locate 2 different products. He went above and beyond to help me and with a lovely smile and friendly attitude!

Separately, I really want to love Woolworths (some great team members and 10% off shop with WOW mobile and very friendly) and you stock a wider range of great gluten free products (packet and frozen); however, I constantly find it difficult to find what I want at Woolworths, Katoomba, and you keep moving things around when I've finally got used to where they are.

Ideally, please leave health foods (where they've been previously for some time) in the health food isle and put other foods where they logically fit (e.g. canned apricot nectar with the canned fruit) or be consistent and put all health foods with their regular product (gluten-free cereals with cereals, gf crackers with crackers), etc, but not half and half!.

Great woolworths well set out. Great choice of groceries and friendly staff.

Stayed in air b and b and with cost living couldn’t afford to eat out breakfast lunch and tea
Easy parking with a bottle shop close by
All you need for a getaway
Great array of food had most things
Found there meat section confusing but other than that can’t fault

Has underground parking, so you don’t have to battle others over a spot

Typical wide range of offerings from Woolworth's. Food produce are fresh. Prices are reasonable. Huge free basement parking.

Always found the staff to be courteous, helpful and happy to give good customer service, not always the case these days.
It's not an overly large Woolworths but has almost everything you look for. Clean premises with lovely staff

Store was open when we went there at 10am on a Saturday. People were not social distancing. Nobody wearing face masks. Staff provided slow and unenthusiastic service. Made us feel like our existence in the store was a burden. Good range of cigarettes.

Woolworths is always good for bargains,so come in a Stage one or two

I don’t know what they do to it, but that rotisserie chicken you can get already cooked is fire! 🔥🔥🔥

Really easy to use and very clean and tidy.

This Woollies store has been revamped. A pleasure to shop. I found plenty of new items that I had not seen here before. The deli and seafood sections were standouts. Nicely displayed with care , everything looking very fresh. Seasonal produce on display!

So handy to have Woolies in Katoomba Marketplace. Convenient for tourists. Friendly staff. Very happy to shop here. Love their bakery with fresh kalamata sourdough bread a favourite. Large store, great variety.
