Spectacular, yet precarious climb. Thankfully, we have a pass to get the scenic railway back up to the top. Still a 90min walk from the base of the stairway.

A great place to hike/trek. However, it is not for the faint hearted. Some parts of the staircase are really steep and just hanging by the side of the cliff/mountain, looking down will turn your leg jelly. The passage is small and enough for 1 person so take note when there are people going in both directions. Nearing the base the path opens up and you get more greenery.

Going down was not too bad, just had to go slow and watch the step. Going up I think can be a killer, it's a really tiring climb up.

We climbed down and walked 1hr to the scenic world base station. Scenic world ride back to the top ends at 4:50pm, if you miss the last ride back up you have to climb the stairs (Giant Stairway) all the way back up - so take note.

Although the Giant Stairway was closed due to weather, we were able to get up and close with one of the Three Sisters and was amazing to see the sandstone layering and weathering of the formation.

the Blue Mountains was a truly remarkable adventure. The awe-inspiring landscapes, thrilling outdoor activities, rich cultural experiences, and warm hospitality of the locals made it an unforgettable journey into nature's beauty. Whether you're a nature enthusiast, adventure seeker, or simply looking for a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, a visit to the Blue Mountains should definitely be on your bucket list. I highly recommend this destination to anyone who wants to be mesmerized by the splendor of the Australian wilderness.

The beautiful walking track from Echo Point. At the beginning will be easy flat walk. After that workout started, more than 800 stairs, steep and narrow. Return trip will take 40 mins.

Timed our visit as the white rolled in. A little early June drizzle didn’t dampen our spirits. Added to the ambience in my opinion. Sadly unable to get across Honeymoon Bridge as it was closed due to dangerous conditions. Heart pumping walk for a variety of reasons. A must-do. Not recommended for those with a fear of heights or unstable on their feet.

Great place to hike if you're here to see the three sisters. It's at the side and the stairs are pretty narrow and steep. Be extra careful especially after rain. It should take you about 15 minutes to get to the bottom. When you are at the bottom, you can walk on the trails which is pretty much flat.

This place is very special for everyone, and I can see why our First Nations peoples hold it as sacred.

We were wanting to climb the staircase but struggled to find info on where to go…we rode the scenic railway down and then walked from there and out the park. The valley floor walk is easy but the climb is tricky but has great spots to rest. Massive sense of achievement. The gate for exiting scenic world was at the top of the stairs leaving the train and exits to the right where as left goes to the cable car. Took us approx 2 hours to complete in fine conditions

Breathtakingly beautiful and breathtakingly steep. So worth it! 1 hour parks in the street are long enough to linger at the views from Echo Point and complete this round trip walk. So many other trails to come back and explore another time.

Amazing skyline and views over the mountains,
Be prepared for liads of stairs,, but worth the walk

The last 80 or so metres down the steps are narrow so do use the handrails and take your time. I'd recommend proper footwear which can grip (don't wear canvass or what some others did like flip flops).

Good views and on a cloudy day when you can't make out the 3 sisters from Echo Point - going to this point is good enough (you'll make out at least one sister - and perhaps two through the fog) 🏆

There was a point at the bottom where you can cross the bridge at the bottom and touch the three sisters (well one of them) however they have since closed that off (due to the likelihood of a rockfall).

Overall - was a good adventure. Made a vlog about it too which I intend to upload to my channel as well.

This is definitely not for everyone to experience. You can try the 80 steps down to the bridge first, before deciding to go further down another few hundreds ones.

A great achievement walking down and up these steps. They were big, uneven in places, and lung busting on a warm day, but what an adventure. Loved the experience and definitely one of the highlights of the trips.

WORTH IT. Was a bit scared to go down because on the way I ran into people who said it took a very long time on to get back up. We were able to do the whole thing in 50m-1hr but we're young and fit. I think the sign says it takes 2 hrs return, if you take breaks. Very steep. It had really gorgeous views and you feel accomplished ☺ great experience. We went on a weekday at about 5pm so there weren't too many people passing us, it was decided at parts so you could really soak in the nature sounds.

Great veiws, solid exercise and a lot of very fresh air. Do remember to bring sunscreen and plenty of water. Avoid Sundays 's this place gets really busy and descending the stairway is really slow because of all the people on it. Some people attempted climbing up rather than down, which is confusing as the stairway is only wide enough to accommodate one person at a time. The stairway is also really steep so climbing up is not at all easy! Apart from the crowd, this walk is highly recommended!

Prepare your legs for this amazing stairway! If you don't want to go back up/down again, there are some 1-2 hours walks/tracks to go around. Recommend!

If the are visiting and fit and able don’t miss this walk point !!.

The stairs hear are boarder line a ladder but the view and experience is every bit worth it “truly breathtaking “.

The walk is a not to far from info centre and is mostly easy until last bit involving many steep steps .

Not too hard. Took around 3 hours to finish the track, it’s a bit dangerous on the staircase if it rains but the weather was nice.

Can get quite busy during peak periods but worth the steps!! Great and different perspective of the three sisters. Believe you can even climb down to the bottom but that is a little more ambitious at 600 steps. One of many great walks in the area!
