Echo Point Discovery Motel

Location is a 3 minute walk to the Echo Visitor Center and Three Sisters lookout, and Katoomba Falls is a nice round trip walk from the hotel.

The rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable. It was equipped with electric kettle, microwave and mini fridge plus a coffee and tea set up.

Great water pressure and strong a/c if needed.

They have a nice lawn with picnic benches to enjoy a bite outside.

I would stay here again

Extremely comfortable and very well refurbished rooms disguised by an extremely ugly exterior, made all that much worse by the decision to paint it as grey as an LNP voter's soul. Staff can be difficult to contact outside reception hours, but are otherwise eager to help. Overall, good value and a great location.

Really happy with our experience. Really affordable accommodation in a key location. It’s by no means fancy - definitely more roadside motel vibes but it was very clean & tidy. Staff were kind and helpful and we definitely got what we paid for. If you’re looking for luxury this isn’t it, but if you’re after an affordable and well maintained accommodation and you’re on a budget I’d definitely recommend!

Absolutely outstanding. To find a quality level like this in casual accommodation in Australia (which can seem to be stuck in the 80s, despite charging 2024 prices) is a v rare treat. Wonderful staff wonderful renovate rooms and perfect location for walks 🙏🏼❤🙏🏼

I'll admit I had trepidation when I walked up. The asphalt in the drive and parking was a bit degraded, and I thought it was going to be a lower Motel-6 kind of experience with cars 5 feet from my front door.
I was wrong. I got a room on the second floor, window to the back. The room was huge, with a comfortable sofa and large screen TV. It was clean, the shower fantastic and it's proximity to Echo Point is outstanding.

We loved our stay here. The rooms are modern and seem recently renovated. There was a smart tv so we were able to watch Netflix, Stan and all our streaming services. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Super friendly and helpful reception. Very clean room. Can be hard to find if you don't know where to look for it. Would stay again (if i didn't dislike Katoomba so much lol)

The echo point discovery motel exceeded my expectations. The rooms were fantastic, parking awesome, location perfect and the technology available with an android tv allowed me and my nephew to enjoy our down time as if were at home.
Customer service is the best I have ever received, they honoured a little minute cancellation last year to this year.
I would recommend again and again 5 stars from me

Had a wonderful stay here, the receptionist Jack was super helpful, friendly and accommodating even after working hours! Fully recommend if staying in the area and looking for a comfortable stay. 10/10

Had a great stay great nights sleep In a really comfortable bed.
Location was brilliant only a minute walk from the three sisters.
Outside is very dated but the rooms are excellent.
Only thing I wished they upgraded were the windows as they rattled slightly when it was very windy.

I've been staying here for a week with my three miniature schnauzers in room 113 which is pet friendly. Originally when I arrived I stayed in room 111 which is not pet friendly. Two days later they realised they had made a mistake and asked me to move everything two doors down and then met face to face with the rudest housekeeper I've ever met...basically saying the room wouldn't be ready for another 40 minutes. I had 3 small dogs in tow and didn't know what to do.I enjoy staying here but talk about a big hindrance. I wasn't even offered a free anything because of their mistake.
Just had to say this because it's actually not a nice way to treat customers 😕

We stayed at the cottage and we had a blast! The cottage is right in front The Lookout! The actual motel is also a few meter away from the lookout. The view from the main bedroom is unreal! The cottage is specious and the position is the best if u want to be close the lookout. It is also perfect because there is a restaurant and a bar right in front of the cottage and a few meter away from the hotel so u can drink whitout having to worry about driving after. GREAT value for Money. I would not consider going anywhere else in the future cause u can't beat perfect.

For the price, you can’t beat this motel. Great location, friendly staff and comfy beds. Rooms are basic and a bit noisy between the rooms (can hear your neighbours) but honestly, for the price it’s awesome!! Located right by the three sisters, the chocolate factory and across the road from Lilianfels, where they have the best afternoon tea. We will definitely be coming back!!

Last minute booking when our original accommodation cancelled before a big event at Katoomba. Room was old however clean and had everything we wanted. Plenty of bed space, a microwave, an ample supply of crockery and cutlery and dishwashing liquid. The ladies checking us in were friendly and efficient. It was quiet, we didn't hear other guests during the night or traffic. The best however was the location - close to the major attractions and the trail run we went for, ran right near it. At the end of the day we were glad our other accommodation cancelled and we got to stay here.

LOVE LOVE LOVE! This place was incredible. We got there early and yet the friendly front desk staff still accommodated us in our very clean and modernized room. From the front, this place looks pretty average, but inside it is wonderful. The beds were very comfy and the bathroom was retro-themed and quite nice. If you get a room on the right side you will get a nice view of the park and a glimpse of the valley. Prices were very cheap! The room came with complimentary coffee, hot chocolate, and my favorite, biscoff biscuits! It is within walking distance of The Three Sisters Walk, right next to a cafe, and about 5 minutes drive from main town Katoomba. Reverse air con, smart tv, and a mini fridge are all features that this cosy motel provides! Overall I really loved this place and would definitely stay here again. That's Eli signing out! 😝

This budget friendly accommodation is very convenient. Only few minutes walk to three sisters and the bus stop is just right in the front. In comparison to other accommodations around (in terms of cost and amenities) , it is a great choice!

Great value and excellent location near all the key local attractions. The rooms have been upgraded in recent years and are well presented, clean and comfortable.
