What a great toy store. I have heard people say that this is the best toy store in all of Portland.

Unfortunately, I don't have any children in my life, so I'm not usually in the market for toys. But it is fun to walk around and see the toys and games that remind me of my childhood. Today I saw the Chutes and Ladders game! Such memories!

Love this sweet treasure of a toy 🧸 store. I recently made way to pick up a birthday gift for my great-nephew and the staff was incredibly helpful. I came across so many fun options. It definitely brought me back to when my kiddos were wee-ones.
Lots of classic, hands-on, brain building, fun toy options. I decided to go with a dear timeless book that I read to my littles decades ago, a fantastic construction vehicle, amazing bubbles that originate in Germany, and a cozy stuffy. 1st time and not the last! Really enjoyed how my son and I saw the toy store from the distance; the big red door, big windows, just down the hill.

Great toy store with a wide selection of really high quality games, puzzles and outdoor toys. You can get things for toddlers, kids, teens and adults here.

I LOVE this place. It's my first stop for all my kids' birthdays and for their friends' gifts. The staff is wonderfully helpful, and helped me pick the BEST card game for my burgeoning "[card] gamer" 6-year-old son, (game is called Sleeping Queens) after I mentioned he loved Uno.
They also went down to their out-of-season stock to find me a beach bucket and water toys for a fundraiser basket I was helping fill.
If you enjoy having a near-personal-shopper to guide you towards quality recommendations for the young and young-at-heart in your life, this is the place.
Also: complimentary gift-wrapping. Need I say more?

If you're looking for a unique gift and wonderful customer service look no further this is the place to be! We called ahead with an idea for our 5 year old grandson and they had 6 choices at the counter they pulled for us! And they gift wrapped it. We are beyond greatful for Tinker Toys!

Thinker Toys is a favorite Portland business for our family. The selection of toys is carefully curated to offer ultimate fun with a lot of learning and curiosity too! Our kids love to go and browse the store and there's really something for everyone. The staff is so warm and caring. They relished it when my 8-year-old brought in his own money to pay for a toy and painstakingly counted out the change. They wrap our gifts beautifully and they make toy shopping a magical experience!

Super awesome curation in a really cute area. Street parking was meh but worth it. Something for every age group, the newborn stuff is in the back of the store which can be easily missed. They have a big table with a Brio train set which is helpful in picking any additions you might want.

I love this place. I'm very thrilled to find a toy store that sells bruder toys. Normally I was buying those online, but not anymore. I've always dreamed of a store that sold bruder toys in person. I will definitely be coming back in the future when they release the new products

A progressive neighborhood toy store. Nice of options from toy makers around the world. A bit spendy, but I was happy to support a neighborhood staple that is in the business of inspiring kids.

Amazing toy store for all ages and interests! My 2 1/2 yo son found things in every area of the store he wanted to play with. We found an awesome gift for a 4 yo neighbor girl and the staff gift wrapped it beautifully for us. There were kids and teens in the store while we were there and everyone found something they wanted to play with. Excellent selection and well organized. The only challenge was picking just one thing! Parking (street only) was a little frustrating, but manageable when we were there; it certainly won't stop us from going back again!

Such a great toy store with an immense selection of really great, educational and fun toys. I was so excited to find this place after Toys-R-Us closed because it is pretty close and very fun to go into and see all of the awesome things that they have in there. In addition to all of that the woman who helped me was such a pleasure to talk to and get ideas for what particular toys I should buy. I am definitely going to be a repeat customer and I am very excited for my next trip in there.

Best neighborhood toy store ever. We are thrilled to live within walking distance. And they open early on Saturdays so you can stop by on the way to a birthday party - genius! They have a great selection of toys and games - even games to borrow and try out. Couldn't ask for more. Thank you, Thinker Toys!

This place is truly awesome for all types of kids games, Including some really cool tinker type toys that'll build knowledge in all types of areas of science... I highly recommend this place!
