This store is the best kept secret in SW Portland! The wonderful women who work at Switch bring customer service to an all new level and experience. The inventory is incredible and so varied! There is something for everyone in this little store. The shoes are so unique, the Clothing styles are sophisticated and classy and comfortable not to mention the high quality of textiles. 💜

I have shopped at Switch three times in the past year and every time I go in I get excellent customer service. The staff is always willing to help me find my personal style for my physique. I love their unique styles, philosophy and care free environment. I'm a woman in her 40's and shopping at Switch allows me to have fun with my personal style and not feel like I have to have the "perfect" body to feel beautiful.
Some of their pieces can be pricey, but I always find pieces that work with my budget.

I just discovered this wonderful little gem today.. A refreshingly different and artsy selection of clothing, accessories and shoes. The stuff is actually WEARABLE , comfortable, easy care and enormously stylish.

This is my new favorite haunt.

I get a lot of recycled clothes — Goodwill, vintage, naked lady parties, etc. — but when I actually buy *new* clothes and shoes, I mostly get them at Switch. The really great thing about the store is that they're not your everyday Nordstropology/J Cranana Retarget cookie cutter jeggings 'n T's to make you look like a regular Sbux komrade. The clothes at Switch are different. Their brands aren't the ones you find advertised in Vanity Fair— you'll find new names you don't recognize, some great lines from local designers, and they even have shoes that are owner-designed, made just for Switch. I love them because I can mix their clothes with my own vintage things — a bolero-length Wooden Ships sweater is perfect with a skirt my gramdmother wore in the 1930's, grandmother wore in the 1930's, an Effie's Heart cotton print dress goes with my 1960's blue suede belted jacket, the short green boots with the side-hooks&laces go with *everything* — and they create a look that you can't quite define, but it stands out. Some of my Switch combination outfits get complimented by strangers from San Francisco to Manhattan. They also have cool socks, mittens, handbags belts scarves and eye-catching earrings and necklaces. And super friendly, chatty employees who love to help you find exactly what you want. I ❤ Switch!
