Central Market

A chef and cook's dream grocery store. Everything is fresh, so clean and organized. The mushroom selection is the main reason I love Central market. This is HEB's version of whole foods but Better!

Every Saturday, this place hosts concerts. The wonderful children's playground and the incredibly cool atmosphere, especially in the evening, create a fantastic experience.

I had the pleasure of attending one of their Saturday evening concerts, and it was truly memorable. The live music added a special touch to the already amazing atmosphere. Families gathered on the spacious outdoor area, with children enjoying the playground while adults chatted and savored delicious food and drinks.

The venue is family-friendly and welcoming. The children's playground is well-maintained and provides a safe and fun space for kids to play, which is a big plus for parents. As the sun sets, the place transforms into a magical setting with ambient lighting and a cozy, welcoming ambiance that's perfect for socializing or simply enjoying the evening.

The combination of live music, a great play area for kids, and the warm evening ambiance makes this spot a winner for weekend gatherings. I highly recommend visiting, especially on a Saturday night, to enjoy the unique and lively experience it offers

My partner and I come here very often. One time we came at 8:30 pm and we’re practically kicked out at closing because we were strolling down every aisle and section and lost track of time!! There’s so much to see and buy here, exotic things and special products. We especially love their bread and the mocha Katz coffee is one of the best ever.

My fav groceries place over the weekend, fruits and veggies so fresh. So many various and international groceries and etc. today they run a theme known as “Passport Portugal” and exploring the Portugal culinary food. Is a wonderful experience. We love the desserts and cakes.

Love shopping here. Wide selection of everything. Parking sometimes can be tricky, as this central market is located inside a very popular plaza.

Central Market is one of our favorite markets in Austin, and it's truly exceptional. The variety of vegetables, greens, and wild mushrooms is impressive, and the selection of fruits is extensive. We particularly enjoy their homemade sausages, especially the chicken sausage with cranberries and pistachios. The kebabs they offer are also delicious. Additionally, the market boasts a wide range of European products and international foods. The pastries they offer are another highlight, always delicious and freshly made.

The floral department at the N Lamar store created beautiful center pieces for my mother in law's birthday celebration. I gave the florist a price range and color request. The arrangements were so lovely. I got many complements on the flowers. This photo shows one of the arrangements a week after the event and they still look great!

A must visit if you are around this vicinity, central market / HEB is fun to shop, there are more fresh vegetables, fruits and at one corner, we can sit down to have a snack after shopping, very good composition of market and eatery together. I love a cup of coffee and some snacks like sandwiches and there are plenty of sittings inside and outside.

We went in for some odd items and they had everything that we needed. Staff (AKA foodies) were available on nearly every aisle to answer questions and help us find the things that we needed! Check out was quick and easy and we love the EV charging in the parking lot

This is the Disneyland of grocery stores!! It's AMAZING!!! HUGE SELECTION!! There's like 5+ types of each type of thing in the store!! I've never seen such a wide variety of foods and products in one store. 😍 Absolutely beautifully organized and clean! Definitely my new favorite grocery store! Huge selection of fruit, deli, meats, canned goods, produce, drinks, beer and wine, anything! They have everything you could ever want, and more.

Every season is celebrated and more special because of this wonderful flagship store. I loved it so much from the very beginning that I use to walk my clients through in my ultimate Austin Realtor tours!! It’s a weekly stop for all of their seasonal specials. So many organic and local offerings make it a local rockstar. Love their hatch chili pepper festival in August, excited about the Hispanic offerings this fall and the holiday menus for Thanksgiving and Christmas. This local Realtor buys so many gift baskets for my clients moving to Austin and their food trays are crazy good for entertaining. Just order ahead. You can’t beat them. This is the flagship store and it features everything that is best in Texas. We love you Central Market! Did I mention live music on the weekends, cooking classes and a full restaurant, from scratch bakery and meals to go?

One of our favorite grocery stores in Austin! Always ready with seasonal and fresh produce with the best quality. HEB is a Austin fav and their central market takes it a notch higher. A real competitor to Sprouts and Whole Foods. This location is my favorite too, they have great variety and of course a fan of the hatch chili festival.

Grocery shopping doesn't get any better than this. The depth and breadth of options here are better than Whole Foods, as are their prices. The outdoor space can't be beaten when it comes to a playground that has a) full playscape for all ages, b) old trees and a pond within walking distance, c) live music, d) food, e) beer & wine. I bring all out of town visitors here for a reason.

I was avoiding Central Market for quite some after I moved to Austin. It felt like this place would be crowded, not that clean, and far from where I live. Today, I thought let me give this place a try after getting bored of going to the same grocery store for a couple of years. Yes, it was a bit crowded, okay in terms of cleanliness but well-organized, and the variety of fresh produce that you get here is amazing. Most of the produce is organic, fresh, seasonal and surprisingly cheap. I quite liked the bakery, and the cheese selection that this place offers. A lot to choose from. This place just has everything that you might think of. The cafe did not disappoint either. Me and my daughter had margarita pizza and chocolate gelato, which was so delicious. I might visit this place more often from now on.

Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon to have lunch and listen to live music. Parking was absolutely horrendous as it was completely full no matter how far you tried to park and the spaces are very narrow. A few spots were open, but it was only because other cars were parked over the lines. After circling a few times, was able to find a decent parking spot.

The patio is on the side with at least 50 tables spread out between the open patio, covered patio, and in the grassy area. In the grassy area, there's also a playground for children to play and run around. There's a small cafe where you can order some food and drinks. You can also continue into the store if you want other items to eat at the table such as meats, cheese, snacks, finger foods, etc... The jazz band that was playing was great as they kept the audience entertained and engaged.

It may be a Texas thing, but even HEB is a nice place to hang out and enjoy some foods, drinks, and live music.

I'm giving 5 stars to the store, which is one of my favorite places on earth. I used to love the food at the cafe but it has changed over time and the food doesn't seem to have the same quality it once had. The menu doesn't include the dishes I used to love either. The tables, especially the ones outdoors, need to be wiped clean more often.

This place has everything! Vegetables, Fruit, Bakery, Deli, Cheese Shop, and so much more. The best assortment of ethnic and hard to find food anywhere in Austin area. Great place to find that special Christmas dish or appetizer. Very impressed with cornucopia of cheese from everywhere in the world. Our charcuterie board will be first class this year because of the Central Market. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Picked up flowers for our table also.

This place is something with vast variety of food from fish, vegetables to wine or even honey from Portuguese. Service is good and for families With kids outdoor area with playground is perfect stop. Tried sushi, some sweets and they were amazing. Love mushrooms display, for curious kids, it’s educational to see how mushrooms grow in nature.

Very high class supermarket, good variety, good quality, band playing every Friday night and weekend. The staff was nice and friendly. This is a very team spirit of human enterprise culture!

Busy but not overwhelming associates were ki d and helpful would rather here more merry Christmas from associates it is Christ we celebrate not holi.
