North Loop Food Store

I just moved to the neighborhood, and this is my new favorite spot for emergency coffee on the way to work! The owner is the friendliest guy you’ll meet, and he’s got a great wine selection, too.

Great place to pickup essentials - from drinks to food staples. Jimmy is always friendly and helpful, and they are open late! North loop food store has come through for me countless times, highly recommend

This spot is one of my favorite places to stop in the whole North loop area for great drink selection and super friendly staff! I hope dearly they stick around for decades to come to be honest.

This is one of my regular spots but it is also one of the few places open during this big freeze! Was able to walk in and get some essentials to make Frito Pie. They had lots of great beer options as well, a ton of variety for such a mom and pop shop. Warm and friendly staff too :)

lived around the corner from this vital bodega like gas station for about 6 years straight and it has set me up to expect this sort of standards of corner stores ever since. great beer selection, unique selections, small but quality over quantity, and a fun atmosphere near the food trucks that are bomb just outside!

I work for the USPS and this store is on my route so it has become a daily stop for me.
They couldn’t be nicer. Always pleasant and open for a quick convo. Any time I need to use the restroom, there is no issue. Clean and fully stocked at all times!!

Ever since I moved to the neighborhood in 2019 this has been my go to convenience store. always so clean and such a great selection of wine and snacks! The owner is so sweet and funny and his other employee is always smiling and happy to help!

Always open, always have what we are looking for. Jimmy is always working. Very friendly and will help you out if needed. Was looking for a specific beverage and can't find it anywhere but I found it here.

Great little stop and go! They have awesome products like Beyond Meat jerky , and some delicious pop corners and protein bars, beer selection is also really good. Staff is very friendly and cares about the people in the neighborhood. So glad to have this store in the neighborhood.

The store is well organized and I love how much guayaki yerba mate they have! The manager Jimmy is very respectful and accommodating. I will be shopping here plenty in the days to come!

Best gas prices in the neighborhood! This is our go-to store. Super friendly people who go out of their way for neighbors. I went in one day with back pain, the owner noticed I was walking/ moving differently. The next day I went in to grab a drink, and he had medicated back patches for me. Super nice! Our household happily supports this business.

Best store ever. Jimmy, the owner, is a kind hearted, respectable individual who supports the surrounding community through his establishment. I believe we take stores like these for granted most of the time, especially with the advent of megastores such as Walmart, HEB, etc.. However, stores like this one are needed in underserved areas. Not everyone has access to transport, and this store is walking distance to many of the surrounding residents. They carry a wide variety of things that someone may need in a pinch. Furthermore, Jimmy even operated his store through the winter freeze when many were without power and provided select free items. Support this local establishment. It's well worth it.

Great store, the owner is always very friendly, and doesn't mind to chat a little. Best store in the neighborhood. They also have cold 12 packs of soda up front, that's always a big plus.

Jimmy is the best! My favorite store! They didn’t carry some of my daily essentials and he made sure to order them for me so I could have them regularly!

I am so lucky to live right down the street from this corner store. I’ve lived by some bodegas and corner stores in the past and this one has the BEST selection by far. Anything you need, Jimmy has. He’s saved my life countless times when I just need a quick pick up. He’s also very kind and wonderful to talk to, so next time you stop by say hi to Jimmy!

I've been going to this store for many many years and it's become a regular stop for me. The beer/wine selection is great and it beats going to one of the crowded HEB's which are impossible to park at. Also, the owner and his staff are super friendly and nice. Oh and there's gas service for your car.

This place is the best. The friendliest staff around. They always have the wine I love and a GREAT selection of energy drinks/snacks.
