First time here. Came to see the falls, do some hiking, and have some lunch. Visited on a Tuesday, so park was pretty empty. Interpretive center was closed (only open Fri-Sun). Park is very well kept, hiking trails well marked, and map kiosks well placed. There were plenty of restrooms and they were clean and maintained. There are several picnic areas, so we chose one down from the upper falls and cooked some steaks and corn which we enjoyed before heading home. I highly recommend this park!

We love taking a quick day trip to just decompress and reset anytime of the week! The park is always well kept and has great views with easy hikes. Honestly my opinion is the best visits are fall and winter when it’s not as crowded. The big crowds usually show up to swim the falls which is always a great time especially in the summer time. I would definitely recommend this park for those looking to start easy adventures into nature!

Not to be missed during bluebonnet season but full of amazing scenery any time of year. The incredible rock formations and surfaces might make you think you've been transported to the surface of the moon. I've not camped here myself, but the grounds appear inviting and well maintained. A short drive from downtown Austin and Austin Bergstrom International. Most areas of the park are easily walkable.

We were in the Austin area when we thought of McKinney Falls State Park. The fee is $6 a person, but well worth it. We were not able to go see the old mill due to the gap on the rocks with water flowing through them. Had we been younger, it would not have been a problem. The park is well maintained with plenty of places to hike or ride a bike.

Went to McKinney Falls State Park and had a wonderful time! It is a very family friendly and easy hike! Beautiful fall scenery and can’t wait to come back in the summer for a splash! Be sure to stop by the visitors center as well! Very informative.

Wonderful park, well-kept trails, and facilities were clean. Plenty of pretty sights along the trails. Zero mosquitoes in the fall, and not too many people around. It's located in the city of Austin, but you're still in nature. Very pretty park!

Yes, dogs are supposed to be on lease, state park rules, but fun for a swim anywho. Opened a new nature trail recently, I’m glad to see the progress! Cool pictures opportunities with changing leaves. Support our local nature parks!

Great park. We went in as a day pass just for some hiking. I can't speak to camping sites. LOTS of great picnic areas with tables & BBQ grills with shade. Lots of nice clean restrooms, that's always a plus. The visitor center was closed due to plumbing problems. We had a nice visit. Lots of history here. Great trails for hiking or just a leisurely stroll through nature. There are even some trails that you could take a stroller or wheelchair down. The lower falls area did have quite a bit of trash that needs to be cleaned out of the warers edge, that's not the Texas way! Friendly park Rangers, as usual for any Texas state park I've been to!

Beautiful park with two waterfalls and plenty of walking trails. Big parking lots and a nice visitor center with a clean bathroom. Very nice and helpful ranges.

Peaceful walks, beautiful scenery. Moderate to light trails depending on the time of day you go out. Water is really low so swimming isn't recommended. Lots of places for shade.

Even though the water was low, it was still an excellent visit. There was still swimming at the lower falls. Park and facilities were clean and well kept. We will definitely be back.

One of the most beautiful places around here. Great trails, views, a volcano made ground, and history to really create a wonderful experience. Will be back soon to camp!

Nice hiking trail along the creek. Especially good for fall and springtime. Relatively
easy with small hills. There are plenty of picnic tables.

Went there on a group camping trip...it was great. Beautiful place...plenty of trails to hike. And swimming in the Upper Falls was wonderful. Certainly not as cold as Barton Springs!

The park itself is mesmerizing! I enjoyed the trails I walked through, plus the bodies of water as well. It's definitely a place to take the family or go for a nice nature walk. Happy I got to see some turtles:)

Limestone covered adventures! There was a face staring back at me in the creek. Lots of places to walk and explore. Don’t bring anything you don’t want to leave in your car. No coolers, no alcohol, no snacks, no loud music.
There are a lot of “no’s” for a good reason. We saw only two pieces of trash, and I was able to reach one to throw in the provided trash cans.
I’d come back again and again.

This park is awesome! We hiked most of the homestead trail and I can’t wait to come back and do the other trails and see it in other seasons. There are lots of shortcuts and options for if you realize your overdoing it (or it’s hotter than you thought 🥵) to cut back faster. I really enjoyed seeing the archeological sites and reading the information on them and the area is beautiful even in September when most stuff elsewhere is looking dried up.

Highly recommended area with a bunch of trails and swimming areas. There’s also fishes and birds there. If you want to relax then it’s a good place to go to.

Nice view with fall colors around you. The waterfalls sound is soothing. Hike is not bad at all. Wear proper hiking shoes.
