Penzeys Spices

I started ordering Penzey spices a long time ago. I was thrilled when they opened a store in Cincinnati, OH. It was one of the first places I looked for when we moved to the Boston area. I was in luck! Great spices in a cute space in Arlington.

This location has the best customer service (and a precious parking lot in busy Arlington)! I was there 4 times in the last two weeks, trying to track down a sold-out item. They couldn't be more helpful. And no matter whether they spend $50 or $5, they are equally helpful and courteous. Highly recommended!

One of my must visit places when in MA. When I can't visit I order online. Their products are amazing.

I have been a devotee of Penzey's for more than 20 years. I fondly remember all of the fabulous catalogs filled with recipes from regular folk from around the country and I wish I had kept them. I LOVE that Bill Penzey puts his heartfelt deeply held beliefs into his business model. He has the moral character to stand up for what he believe is right. This company is all about peace love and understanding. Bill Penzey isn't storming the capitol, he isn't even mean tweeting --if you don't like what he is saying, don't shop there. Thank goodness there are still real men who act from their beliefs and stand up for what is right. AND the herbs, spices and blends are FABULOUS!!

Whether you live close to Penzey’s or just order online, it is one of the best spice shops around. Great selection and prices - everything is fresh and I love their mixes. I get my vanilla here. i also love their Buttermilk Ranch spice mix to make party crackers with.

I refuse to buy my spices from any other store! Literally every single spice you need can be found here! The staff is always friendly, the store smells amazing, and the prices are extremely fair. They have wonderful gift sets also!

Great place to get spices. The large "tester" jars have explainations of the different uses, flavors, and regions for each product. It's organized and smells nice. I really like their toasted onion powder and freeze dried spice options. It's also great to have so many varieties of cinnamon, chillies, and peppercorns.

Incredible variety of every herb or spice you might need, along with seductively blended combos you never knew you wanted, but can’t leave without buying! Give the jars on every shelf a sniff and pick out your favorites in any of several sizes. A wonderful, socially conscientious company to do business with.

Though a little pricey, the quality their spices is high. It's a good value! They have a wide variety of spices, and they even have gift boxes. The staff is very helpful and very friendly. The smell inside of the place is wonderful. It makes you want to return!

Ordered from Penzeys for years before this store opened. It is nice to have a location I can drive to. Helpful service. Penzeys spices are really superior in freshness and quality. The only negative I can think of is that prices used to be even lower than supermarket spice prices but over the last decade they have become a bit higher.

awesome customer service and a huge selection of herbs and spices. i have been ordering from Penzeys online for quite a while but going in they have open containers so you can smell the spices. this is really good for the spice blends

Wonderful little shop to find all kind of spices and herbs in a variety of different styles. With the stuff here you could easily make your own spice blends that are more cost effective and more to your tastes. I highly recommend Penzeys.

Absolutely the best place to buy spices. Walking into this shop is like being dropped into a multinational bazaar. Spices from all over the world, reasonably priced. Whole vanilla beans, Vietnamese peppercorns. You'll be amazed

A must for the chef, or the want to be chef like me. Using fresh spices like the ones found here makes a HUGE difference in the outcome of your dishes, which is something that I have paid much attention to in the past. I highly recommended their taco seasoning... There are few available out there without preservatives and too much salt. This one takes the price for flavor and if you want to lick up the spice, try the bold taco seasoning.

Fresh, fragrant herbs and spices. Special combinations make easy prep work and very special results that you might not think were possible. The choices of available herbs and spices are amazing. Definitely worth a trip to just to browse. Very reasonable prices and nice staff.

I got vanilla beans, hot cocoa, candied ginger, and so much more. All different quantities. Staff was helpful when I couldn't locate something. Great experience. Love the store.

Penzeys seems to have literally all the spices you would ever need! The hot chocolate mix is out of this world, I always have some on hand. The staff are very knowledgeable, and friendly. During the lockdown, they were extremely efficient, and a kind with the curbside pickup. Always top notch!

This is an awesome shop if you like to cook and eat great tasting food. They have multiple varieties of the same spice. They have jars of all their spices that you can open and smell. I found it challenging to leave without spending WAY more than I wanted. If you're searching for something elusive or just high quality, Penzeys it where it's at.

Love Penzeys. The quality can't be beat - it's basically the only brand we keep in our spice cabinet.
