Love this place. Went in looking for old magazines and found them....score! Also got some Funkos and a popcorn box from actually Disneyland so excited. 😊 reasonably priced. Yay!👍

Greatest selection of new & used Lego in the area!

The prices and selection were amazing, you can get lost in this store for hours.

I bought a doll of my favorite anime character there the other day. The staff were friendly and I got a really good price! Since a lot of the stuff there is second hand, he was in rough condition, but I fixed him up easily. Damaged goods are priced accordingly. There is a wide selection of figures! The woman at the counter was easy to talk to and was very invested in my collection. They joked around with me about how hideous the doll was. It was only my second visit and I enjoyed it each time.

I could browse around this store for hours.

Ordered booster boxes. Nice online shop, good prices, nice shipping. Will check back for other boxes in the future.

Loved Jay's! Went and checked out every location! This one was my favorite but probably simply because it was the first of the locations I visited. I also found the best items at this location too. That could've been by chance, however if I visit Des Moines again, I'll start with this location.

Just about any kind of action figure you could imagine. Very unique stuff. Even if you collect certain items and are knowledgeable about those items, I'd dare to say you could find something you didn't know existed. Absolutely worth checking out!

I drop in to see what is on the LEGO Pick-a-Brick wall every few months. It is kept well stocked and sorted by color, pretty decent collection for a store that also does other collectibles. They also have retired LEGO sets in sealed packaging and 100+ minifigures in a different part of the store, priced accordingly as these are not sold by LEGO anymore.

One of my favourite places to go. Every visit I find new things. It's the main reason I go; just to see the new inventory. One stop shop for much needed nerdiness. Here's a rarity I found on my last visit! With the map too?

I'm a board game enthuisist and this location I think I Jay's best in town. Lots of selection and willingness to order anything for you I had a good time speaking with an employee who was both informed and interested in the gaming community. They also have loads of CDs and comics. Whether you are a casual or a hardcore hobbyist it's a fine establishment.

Almost left the store the other day without on of the items I bought The man ran all the way out almost to the front door to get my item to me awesome service

Had a bunch of record albums taking up space in a storage locker. Took them to Jay's got enough out of them to buy a cell phone Ive had my eye on for a while. The process was quick but still gave me enough time to walk around the store and realize how fortunte I was that this store didnt exisit during my son's YUGO phase. Its a MECA for gamers and they have an expansive vinyl section.

Very friendly employees, good vibes in the store, and I was able to buy GTA 4 pre-owned for the Xbox. I am very happy with the service and getting my pre-owned copy of GTA 4. You guys are great above and beyond.

I am a nerd through and through and this is my favorite store in all of des moines. I've been building gundam models and they have an awesome selection and super friendly staff!

The Iowa Gundam Builders come out here and visit once every 3rd Saturday of the month and Jay's CD here being a supporter of the community is a huge plus. I travel to Des Moines just for the fun day of building with friends from the area and picking up new kits that Jay's stock regularly. There's a Lego build group as well and it's awesome to see a hobby shop allow everyone to come in like that and buy/build right there in the store during their club days. I look forward to visiting every chance I can get
